One Shot #35 (Cont.)

Maui's POV

Two days later...

  We're about to arrive at the island I'm supposed to pull up. I believe it's called Oceanaka. It got struck badly by a recent storm so the mortals called upon me, the amazing Maui, demigod of the wind and sea, hero to all, to pull up their island. I study the layout of the island and smirk. This'll be a piece of cake. I'm glad Moana's here to see me to do it, well somewhat. Due to her and Ariel not having legs yet, they have to watch from the boat. I really want to impress Moana. I met her just three days ago and that girl already has me wrapped around her pretty little finger. I let Eric get off the boat first before making my way off, tying the boat onto a tree. I crack my back, neck, and knuckles before swinging my hook around shouting "It's Maui time", shifting into a hawk to get a bird's eye view of the damage. 

   I circle around three times before beginning to pull up the island. It takes me a couple of hours because it's such a big island, but when I'm done, I lie on the ground. I'm absolutely exhausted. Eric lies down next to me, laughing like a maniac. "What's so funny dude?" He continues to laugh. "How dramatic you are after you pull up an island. You act like it's so much work, but I know you love it. It's an ego boost for you, just ruling the kingdom is for me." I break out laughing myself. "Yeah you're right. You know me too well Eric. So tell me, how do you like Ariel and Moana?" "They're both great girls, especially Ariel." I notice how he blushes when he says Ariel's name. I decide to tease him a bit. 

   "Aw does Eric have a little crush?" He swats me on the arm. "Oh shut up Maui. Don't think I didn't see all of your flirty moments with Moana either." My eyes bug out of my head. Crap. I was hoping he didn't see any of that. Now he's going to use it against me for all of his days. When we get to Te Fiti, I'm going to see if she'll make him immortal. I know it's a stretch, but the thought of losing my best friend pains me too much. I grumble under my breath. "Oh hush Eric. I'll admit I like Moana when you admit that you like Ariel." Both of us smirk at one another and head back to the boat to meet the girls. They give us nothing but praise. Both of our hearts race a mile a minute as we venture back out onto the ocean. 

Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! By the way, thank you so much for over 25,000 reads. Also, my original story is in the works. I'm writing it out in a notebook, at least for the time being. So far I have the character list and descriptions, a prologue, and the first two chapters completed.
