My Vow To You (Part 1)

One Shot #32 

Maui's POV

 I walk hand in hand out of the movie theater with Moana. We just saw the new Beauty and the Beast movie. I picked the last movie so it was her turn. I'm not super into Disney movies, but surprisingly, I really liked this one. The cartoon version was a little too silly for my taste, but this one had a lot more emotional depth, better music, and a great cast. I'm a Harry Potter dork so I didn't mind watching Emma Watson prance around in a dress as Belle for two hours. It also took me half of the movie to realize that the guy who played Gandalf in Lord of the Rings was Cogsworth. I fanboyed at that a bit because I also love Lord of the Rings. 

   We've been married for awhile now, but yet we still managed to act all lovey dovey like newly weds tend to do. I help Moana into the car and we drive towards home. When we get to the nearest stop light, Moana undoes her seat beat and starts kissing me. I chuckle. "What are you doing Moana?" She giggles in response. "I'm showing you how much I love you." I peck her back quickly and gently lift her off of me. "While I appreciate that, it's not the best idea to make out in a car in the middle of the road." Moana sighs playfully and leans her head against my shoulder as I continue to drive. "Yeah I guess you're right. As soon as we get home though, I vow I'm having my way with you." I raise an eyebrow. "Is that so?" She crosses her arms across her chest and I smile. "Absolutely so." I kiss her on the cheek. "Then you shall have your way with me."

   I manage to get us three quarters of the way home when suddenly some truck driver is driving like a mad man. Moana squeezes the sidebar in fear as I attempt to swerve around him. Unfortunately, the truck driver speeds up even more and we crash into him. The last sound I hear before blacking out is glass shattering all around the car and the last person I see is Moana. Everything then goes dark. 

Hoped that you guys liked this part of this one shot! I read a fanfic of one of my readers and somewhat got inspired by her concept, though I used a different movie. In case you haven't noticed already, this one shot is inspired by The Vow, which is one of my favorite Nicholas Sparks movies/books. :) -Mary
