One Shot #32 (Cont.) 

Moana's POV

  That Maui guy seems really nice. I feel terrible at how heartbroken he was when I told him that I couldn't remember him. I hope that when he visits me, maybe by some miracle he'll jog my memory, even just a bit. I hate not remembering the past ten years of my life. I'm twenty four years old, but yet I can't remember anything past my freshman year of high school. It sucks. I can see Maui is frustrated with me. I don't blame him. He needed to step out and get some space. I just hope he comes back. 

Two hours later...

   Maui actually comes back, allowing me to breathe a sigh of relief. "You came back." He laughs nervously. "I did. Listen, I'm sorry for flipping out earlier." I reach out and grab a hold of his hands, gently squeezing them. "It's okay Maui. You don't have to apologize for anything. I'd react the same way if I was in your position. I know it's not going to be easy dealing with a girl who has the memory of a carrot now." Maui puts a hand on my shoulder. "I'm here for you. Even if you can't remember me right away, I'll do everything in my power along with your doctor to get your memory back as quick as possible. Though, I want to know if you trust me?" I give him a kiss on the cheek, causing both him and myself to blush. "I trust you Maui." Maui takes a hesitant step towards me. "Can I kiss you Moana? Not on the lips, but on the cheek." I nod allowing him to do so. As his lips make contact with my cheek, my heart soars. I love the feeling.

   All of the sudden I can feel myself getting sad and for the first time since being admitted into the hospital, I begin to cry. Maui looks at me in concern. "Did I say something wrong? If so Moana, I'm really sorry. I can go if you want me to." He moves to get up and I grab him tightly. "No stay, please. I've just been bottling up my emotions for the whole day and wanted to let it out. I'm sorry if I scared you." He climbs into the bed next to me and wraps an arm around me. "Like I said, I'm here for you. You're everything to me, even if I'm nothing to you." I gaze into his eyes lovingly. "You're not nothing to me. I can feel deep down in my heart that you're my universe."
