Going Green (Part 1)

One Shot #33

Maui's POV

I miss my normal life. Well my life has never been completely normal, but it certainly used to be more calm than it is now. You see, about a year ago, I got into accident of sorts. Well it was accident I partially inflicted upon myself, but it changed me. I'm thirty years old and have been a scientist for a few years now. One ordinary day, I was in the lab studying some specimens when all of the sudden, one of the test tubes containing radioactive fluid spilled all over me. I got really angry after that and all of the sudden I wasn't myself anymore. I was this big, green monster. I started calling him the Hulk. 

  So now I turn into a big green monster every time I'm pissed off, which is quite frequently these days. I scared my last girlfriend off when we got into an argument. I don't blame her. I wouldn't want to date a freak like myself. That's why I keep to myself in the lab. I don't want to hurt innocent people. I have an assistant named Moana who helps me out when I need her to do so. She's a nice enough girl. She makes polite small talk with me, but it doesn't go beyond that. I don't want it to be go beyond that. 

   One of my biggest fears besides hurting innocent people is that someone will try to come along and use me because of my abilities. Well in their eyes, they would consider them abilities. Though in reality, my abilities are an absolute fucking curse. I never asked for this. I won't want to be a monster. I want to be able to get angry without worrying about being a danger to society. I'm especially afraid of Moana getting hurt. I spend more time with than anyone else I know. I barely talk to her to begin with, but lately, I've been finding myself wanting to talk to her more. That terrifies me just as much as turning green.

Hoped that you guys liked part of this one shot! I got this idea in my head the other day and decided that since Maui's a big, buff guy, it could work out well. :) -Mary
