One Shot #24 (Cont.)

Peke's POV

  Most of you are probably wondering who I am. Well you should know, I mean I'm pretty important. I'm Peke, daughter of Lahlea, who runs the village's biggest fruit and vegetable stand. We provide the  people in the village with all of the necessary nutrients they need to survive. Moana may be chief, but she doesn't put food on the table for us. All she does is stand in the village square from time to time. Wow big deal. Yet everyone worships the ground she walks on. I'll admit that I'm not the best person, but I work a lot harder than Moana does.  In addition, I like Maui. I haven't had many interactions with him, but the few I have had have been replaying in my mind on a loop. 

  I know that Maui has eyes for Moana. Most of the people here are too dumb to figure that out, but I noticed it the day he returned. I can tell just by their body language alone that they want each other. I mean after all they share a history that I'll never understand. They restored the heart of Te Fiti together. Meanwhile, I just got told by Maui in a snarky tone to stop staring at him. It was mortifying.  I could even hear them gossiping about me afterwards. I've never felt more pissed off in my life. I have nothing and she has everything. Well guess what, that's going to change. I'm going to ruin their relationship to get back at Moana  for ruining my chance at being with Maui. 

   I may sound like a bitch, but I don't care. For years, I've been treated like shit by everyone. I'm constantly viewed as nothing. Seeing Moana fawn over Maui doesn't help that feeling either. I know I need to do something to stop them from ending up together. Maybe I'll gossip a little like they did about me. Mind games are specialty of mine. Maui will be mine, one way or another.
