One Shot #27 (Cont.)

Maui's POV

Time Skip... A Week Later... Danielle's Wedding 

   Adam hired a limo driver to take him, Moana, and I to the wedding. Adam and the driver should both be here soon. I've been ready for about an hour now, but Moana is still in the process of being so. Moana showed me all of the outfits she bought on her shopping spree and they're all lovely. I'm sure that whatever one she chose to wear, she's going to look drop dead gorgeous. 

Twenty minutes later... 

   I'm sitting downstairs in the kitchen when Moana begins to come down the stairs. My heart stops when I meet her eyes. She looks absolutely beautiful. She's wearing a long red gown. Moana's also wearing high heels so she's clutching onto the railings for support so she won't fall. Right as she gets to the last stair, I can see wobbling over. I put the acceleration on my wheelchair and rush to catch her. Despite the weakness in my arms, I manage having her fall on my lap rather than the floor. I smirk at her. "Smooth landing Moana." She blushes and hides her face in my shoulder. I laugh and kiss her on the neck, which I found out is her weak spot. I've been taking advantage of that a lot lately. 

   "Moana, you look absolutely beautiful." "Thank you Maui. You look amazing. I've never seen you in a suit before. They suit you though." I smile. "Thank you Moana. Anyways, Adam just texted me. He's ten minutes away." "Awesome. I'm so excited." "I know darling. I'm glad you decided to come with me. I honestly would have hated to go alone because people would spend the entire wedding talking about me rather than focus on the bride and groom." "Screw them. We deserve to enjoy our first real date." I nod in agreement.

Ten minutes later...

  Right on time, Adam pulls into the driveway with the limo driver close behind. Adam greets Moana and I happily before we get into the limo. Of course Moana and Adam have to lift me out of my chair and into the limo, which is rather embarrassing. I try my best to brush it off, focusing on the fact that I'm going on my first real date with my incredible girlfriend. As I watch her talk to Adam, I realize that my crush on her is beginning to shift into love. I'm in love with Moana. 

Time Skip... The Wedding Reception 

 Adam's friend Bobby has been babbling my ear off fifteen minutes straight. He's a nice guy, but when he's drunk, he can be quite ditzy. Moana introduces herself to him and he's instantly smitten with her. I mean who could blame him. She's just so amazing. After while, Bobby finally leaves, giving us a moment to talk. I smirk at her. "You know he fancies you right?" Moana snorts. "He needs glasses." My smirk turns into a frown. "Don't say that. You look gorgeous." She smiles back. "Well you don't look too shabby yourself." 

  Moana's POV

   I've noticed the way people have been whispering about Maui. A few of them have even made rude cracks. I want to give them a taste of their own medicine. I want to show them that not only are a true couple, but that we deserve to be here just as much as they do. I get up and stand by Maui's side with a grin on my face. "What do you say Maui, are you going to give me a whirl?" He bursts into laughter. "Someone's had a little too much club soda." I laugh myself. "Come on, let's give these self righteous bozos something to talk about." He smiles and allows me to climb on his lap. He then wheels us out onto the dance floor.

   Maui leans in slightly. "Are they all appalled?" "Yes" I say while giggling. Maui wheels us around in circles. "Lean in closer darling, you seem fantastic." He leans in as well. "You don't even know things I want to do to you right now." "You wouldn't even have noticed me if you weren't in a wheelchair." "Of course I would." "No you wouldn't. You'd be too busy looking at the leggy, super skinny girls with horrible spray tans." He shakes his head and sighs. "I was an asshole before I met you." I put a hand on his face and peck him on the lips. "But you're not one anymore." "Moana... I love you." My heart flutters in the most incredible way. "I love you too Maui."
