Wei Wuxian was leading an amusing life.

Everyday he would go to the Cloud Recess quarters and cause mischief there and his favourite task was to annoy Master Lan.

People were suspicious, but since the notorious Yiling Patriarch is spending his exile days in the Bamboo Cottage, so Wei Wuxian's hands were considered to be clean. And thus Master Lan would most often prick on any disciple he would see in view, except Lan Sizhui.

Everyday he would see Lan Wangji but couldn't talk to him, do he just savoured the view of the Godly man from far.

He didn't get the urge to roam around the city with his invisible body in this parched summer. Doing miscreants at Cloud Recess was enough to please his heart.

And since the first day, a tray of spicy and his favourite foods appeared before his door, so he never needed to go to buy anything as almost everything was furnished to the cottage - clothes, red ribbon, painting brushes, papers, empty tailsman, Qiankun pouch and also other items. And it happens when he is asleep. What he needed to do was to collect them from his threshold.

He knows who sends them. Those are sent by someone but are brought to the cottage by a Lan disciple. And Wei Wuxian saw the Lan disciple keeping tray of foods at the door when he accidentally woke up early and decided to roam around the bamboo forest.

Life was going peacefully with a lot of fun, and Lan Sizhui came everyday to visit him.

Such a lovely boy Lan Zhan has raised. Wei Wuxian would think everytime.

So eight days have passed in this way and he was really having a time of his life. Nothing could be more enjoyable than causing mischief in a dreadfully rule-binding and disciplined place and never get caught as - you are invisible!!!!

Eight day:

"What a nice and kind hearted boy Lan Zhan has raised. Aiyo aiyo he doesn't know what his senior does hahaaa"

Wei Wuxian said to himself and laughed.

These days were really exciting, but deep down his heart, a little portion of dejection kept on screaming all the time and couldn't let him enjoy his delicious meal or his dear and cherished sleep properly.

The smile he was wearing till now faltered.

But he paid no heed to those voices and just concentrated on enjoying the spicy meat balls - putting on a smile.

Wei Wuxian sneaked inside Cloud Recess and thought of plotting something new today.

He entered the huge field of the rabbits and stood in the middle of a large green land that was at least 2 kilometers away from where the rabbits were.

He smiled evilly and took out crackers from his Qiankun Pouch.

"Draw this stroke below this symbol, and chant the words I taught you. Then throw cinnabar in the air and then the tsilsman. The pattern will glow and a flame will appear. This is how you use an igniting tsilsman. I will demonstrate... "

*wooosh* *crack crack crack* *boom boom boom* *shooooooo* *crack crack crack*

Loud noises of burning fire crackers screamed in the sky of Cloud Recess.

Everybody present in the Cloud Recess quarters were startled in such a way that they were at the verge of having Qi deviation. The only ones to sustain the shock was the youngsters who actually were amused with the series of crackings, but did not express it on their faces.

Master Qiren was swelling with anger.

The first name he shouted out was....

"WANGJI!!!! "

In Haishi:

The two jades of Lan were having a tea- talk in a peaceful atmosphere.

Lan Xichen was the one to carry forward the conversation and Lan Wangji listened carefully and commented occasionally.

They were talking about sect matters and other issues. After all Lan Wangji had to manage everything when Lan Xichen was in seclusion.

Lan Xichen remained silent for a moment, and a person like Lan Wangji would not talk with his own initiative, so he also sat and drank his tea silently.

"Wangji, how long is this going to continue? " After a moment Lan Xichen asked in an amused tone.

"What are you talking about brother? " Lan Wangji asked.

Lan Xichen chuckled.

"Did you two have a fight? " Lan Xichen asked in an amused tone.

"Hmm" Lan Wangji replied impassively.

" You should not go this hard brother"

"Just teaching him a lesson" Lan Wangji said. His golden eyes were rippling with playfulness. A tiny invisible smile also appeared on his lips.

But Lan Xichen picked up the smile easily and he smiled too while shaking his head.

"Wangji, in this week some strange phenomenons have taken place, specially with Shifu. Do you have any idea who could do these? " Lan Xichen asked playfully.

Lan Wangji were at loss of words but after a moment he hummed.

"Hmm"

"Hmmmm~" Lan Xichen intoned.

"Are you sure you are not missing someone? " Lan Xichen asked.

"Xiongzhang" Lan Wangji sternly. It was stern for naked eyes. But Lan Xichen caught the amusement and playfulness in his brother's voice.

Initially he would get flustered, but now he has learnt to take these jokes lightly. My brother has really grown up. Young master Wei had his effect on him.

Lan Xichen thought happily.

"You should go and meet him face to face Wangji. This is going too far. Staying alone in the Bamboo Cottage is not easy for a person like him Wangji" Lan Xichen said with a tiny smile.

"I will........ "

"WANGJI!!!!!! "

Lan Wangji was cut off in the middle of his sentence by the loud voice of his uncle.

The brothers looked at each other and immediately rushed to their uncle's place.

Lan Qiren was standing beside the Blossom Room.

The two Lan brother quickly rushed towards the old man whose goatee was puffing up and down - displaying the intensity of his anger in a compact manner.

"Shifu"

The two jades bowed before their uncle.

"Wangji, cracking fire-crackers are prohibited in the Cloud Recess and making noise is prohibited in the Cloud Recess" Master Lan said stonily.

The Lan brothers were so astounded from the sudden recitation of these rules that they just stared at the old man.

After all, fire-crackers are not really an apt topic to be suddenly discussed about, and that out of the blue.

"I don't remember reading about the first rule in the Gusu rules book Shifu" Lan Wangji said impassively.

Lan Xichen was almost bursting into a laughter, but years of controlling mannerisms prevented him from getting punished at such a ripe age. So he only smiled lightly.

Lan Qiren was red with anger.

"Add this rule in the 'Code of conduct' " Lan Qiren ordered.

"As shifu wish" Lan Wangji bowed.

"Shifu, may I know the reason for your sudden outburst? Has anything gone wrong? " Lan Xichen asked.

Lan Wangji too gazed at Master Lan with questioning eyes.

"Just few minutes ago someone has cracked fire-crackers at the open fields. I hope you two have heard the sound" Lan Qiren said.

"Pardon Shifu, but I didn't hear any noise " Lan Wangji said and looked at his brother with bewildered eyes. Open field? It is where the rabbit den is. If anything happens to those little creatures!

"Neither I did " Lan Xichen said.

Lan Qiren huffed.

"Have you two become deaf or what. The whole Cloud Recess was shaking from the noise and you two are saying that you did not hear any sound? " Master Qiren fumed.

"Haishi is shielded from any other noises. Only voice of any person could reach the room. I do this particularly during spring as deluge of disciples arrive during this time" Lan Xichen said smiled sheepishly.

"Hmphh" Master Lan was infuriated.

"Wangji go and inspect the matter and no matter who the culprit is, that person won't be spared" Master Lan declared with stern voice.

"Yes Shifu" Lan Wangji bowed and almost ran towards the rabbit field. Lan Xichen also followed him.

They soon reached the open field but found no one. All the rabbits were safe and sound.

"Wangji, the person left" Lan Xichen said.

"Yes Xiongzhang"

Lan Wangji stared at a particular area and Lan Xichen followed his brother's gaze, and found spent burnt firecracker remains with few flakes lurking on the ground.

None of them spoke.

"Wangji, this was dangerous" Lan Xichen said with concern.

"Hmm"

Lan Xichen sensed displeasure in his brother's tone.

"Hmm. They could have been hurt".

Indeed, cracking fires out of the blue, it could have been dangerous for the rabbits, not only the fire-flakes, but also sharp sounds are harmful for bunnies. Any sudden sharp noise can cause shock induced paralysis in them. Gladly all the little souls are safe and sound.

"I should go and find him" Lan Wangji said.

"Yes. I will manage Shifu" Lan Xichen assured.

Lan Wangji bowed before his brother and without wasting a moment, ran towards bamboo cottage to have a serious talk with certain someone.

'This was too much' Lan Wangji was thinking.

Wei Wuxian shot open his eyes and was astounded to the moon and black.

The world is blurry, and......Really really round - as round as watermelon. Why is the world suddenly so 'huge'? And, why is everything spinning? Is it a dream?

Suddenly, Wei Wuxian felt something soft and fluffy rubbing against his skin. Surprised, as soon as he spun around, to investigate the thing cuddling against him, he was so shocked that he jumped on his feet, and sprang five feet away from that cottony thing.

He looked down at his body, and found two little black paws and two little black feet with claws and a very furry soft wolly satin black skin smeared on his whole frame.

"What!! Nooooooooo"

Looking up at the sky, he shouted at the top of his lungs.

The bunny that was cuddling with him ran ten feet away from him - springing away for dear life.

Wei Wuxian was so shocked that he fell asleep.
