NINE

Minho practically ran to get where Jisung was, his concern for his boyfriend overtaking his entire being. He got there in no time at all, his breathing coming out in a short bursts as he leans forward and catches his breath.

The moment his eyes lock onto Jisung, he feels his heart pounding in his chest. Jisung's eyes are closed but he's still breathing. Has he passed out?

"Jisung? Baby?" Minho asks as he walks over and crouches down in front of his boyfriend.

Jisung's eyes open, and he smiles weakly when his eyes lock onto Minho's.

"That was quick. Did you drive?"

"No, I ran" Minho chuckled. "I was worried"

"I'll be alright. Got a bit banged up but I'll heal"

Minho frowns. "Babe, Felix could have killed you"

"For a split second there I thought he was going to kill me" Jisung released a slow breath, "but he didn't, and that's the main thing here"

Minho nods, chuckling softly as Jisung makes grabby hands at him. Minho shakes his head, shuffling to the side. He wraps one arm around Jisung's back, the other hooked under Jisung's knees and he lifts the younger up, carrying him.

Jisung barely has the strength to wrap his arms around Minho's neck as the older begins walking back to the club. They both remain silent the entire walk to the club, Minho briefly answering his worried twin's questions before entering the club with Jisung now dead asleep in his arms. Felix really did a number on him when all Jisung actually did was choke him a little; not intending to kill but rather to bruise a little.

Jisung was sure Felix wanted to kill him right then and there, and was still wondering why he hadn't. He also wondering why he'd left Chan alive two years ago when Chan had first stumbled into Felix's territory.

Jisung guessed he'd never know...

:::

Felix marched into the warehouse, rage nearly consuming him. Why did he get so easily riled up by Chan's gang members? All of them pissed him off to know end. Maybe it was the fact they all thought they were top shit because they weren't as crazy as his gang was.

Felix kicked at the ground, Donghun looking up at him from his spot on the floor.

"You know, you really need to get some furniture in here; maybe a couch or two"

"Shut up Donghun" Felix spoke through gritted teeth.

"Alright, who pissed you off this time?" Donghun sighed.

"Ran into Jisung. Beat him up a bit. Told him to deliver a message to Chan"

Donghun rolled his eyes, shaking his head. Of course, once again one of Chan's gang members rubbed Felix the wrong away and he beat the shit out of them to teach them a lesson.

"It's a wonder you haven't killed any of them" Donghun scoffed.

He can feel the atmosphere change as soon as he said that, and he looks back to Felix to see a wicked smirk on the younger's face.

"Oh no; I'm not gonna kill them yet. No; when the time comes, I'll make them fucking beg for death until their voice is horse and then tear them apart slowly and make them feel pain they've never felt before in their puny little lives"

Donghun merely rolls his eyes. Once, he wouldn't have taken that as an empty threat, but due to a recent realisation of his, he knows that Felix wouldn't actually go through with it. He doesn't dare say that out loud, because he doesn't want to jinx it. All he really wants is for his brother to get his head out of his ass and stop being so easily angered by Chan's gang.

"Why do you let them get to you so much? They're nothing compared to us" Donghun says.

Felix just stares at him. "I wouldn't go underestimating them either"

Donghun raises an eyebrow, smirking at him. "What's that supposed to mean?"

Felix growls in frustration. "As much as I hate to admit it, that stupid gang oozes power they have yet to even utilize. They think they have control over the law, of which they fucking don't, but they don't even need it. They don't need allies. I've seen them fight once before, and it would only take three or four of them to take down two gang's at once"

Donghun just blinks at him. "I...actually agree with you on that one"

"And why's that?"

Donghun hums. "For those two years you were gone, we kept a close eye on them too just in case they decided to take over your territory. They started operating like a proper gang. A couple of them have started doing drug runs; Jisung and the girl Jaehwi. One of them is making guns; and I mean making guns. Changbin is the one selling said guns on the black market-" "Who's making the guns Donghun?" Felix snapped.

Donghun shrugs. "I haven't found that one out yet, but they're definitely making money. I have no idea what that money is going into, but Chan's gang are probably multi-millionaires at this point"

Felix scoffed, feeling annoyance bubble in his gut. "Whatever. That really doesn't matter to me. What matters to me right now is taking down GD's gang. By the way, I have some news pertaining to that actually"

"Oh?"

"He's moved, and now their base of operations is actually a lot closer to my territory"

Donghun quickly stands up, suddenly extremely worried. "What does this mean for us?"

"Nothing yet hopefully, but it could mean that the EXO gang could make their move sooner rather than later, meaning Chan's gang is in danger" Felix huffed, "and considering they're out allies for now, I guess we're gonna have to protect them"

"Heh, you're contradicting what you said earlier" Donghun says, "I thought Chan's gang would be able to take down two gang's at once"

"They are able to do that, but the EXO gang are stealthy and secretive, and barely anything is known about them as a whole. No one really knows how they work, but I do know that they're like a virus that infiltrates from the inside out. They could make Chan's gang disappear without a single person ever knowing until years later"

Upon saying that, Felix realized that if the EXO gang made their move on Chan's gang first, they may make a move against Felix and his friends and family next. He needs to make sure that doesn't happen, and to put a stopper to the EXO gang before they can make their move against Chan...
