Fluttershy-Lab Animal

I laid at the far corner of the small cage. The cold thick bars surrounded me in every direction. Underneath me, a thin blanket filled with moth-bitten holes lay on a gray tiled floor. I couldn't remember how I'd gotten here, but it definitely hadn't been a pleasant experience.

Suddenly, the door opened slowly, and a man steps in. He was wearing a white lab coat and blue gloves. He came towards my cage, after closing the door. Even though it was pitch black, he could apparently see. He opened the cage door and picked me up, as if my feeble struggling didn't affect him at all. Holding me with one hand, he opened the door and walked down a hallway and into another room. I was so famished and weak, that I weighed only a few pounds.

There were two more humans, in lab coats. Another man and a woman. The man carrying me put me on a examination table, and flipped me onto my stomach. The other man held down my hind legs while the woman my front legs. The one that carried me secured my limbs onto the table with thick and sturdy ropes. He then turned from me to a cabinet, filled with equipment. He took out a tray. As he prepared a needle, the other male looked at the needle.

"Do we really to put her to sleep before the operation? It's a waste of anesthetic!" He said roughly, with a slight growl.

"I suppose so. Animals don't feel pain. And who cares if they do?" The man said thoughtfully, and put the needle back on the tray. Fear flashed in my eyes. What were they going to do to me?

The man who put down the needle picked up a clean silver knife. He positioned it at the base of my left wing, and even though I tried to squirm away, the ropes kept me in place. He chuckled at my escape attempts and began to cut into my flesh. I screamed in agony as the blood began dripping out of my wings.

"Please, make it stop!" I screeched, even though the humans couldn't understand me. The mane with the knife chuckled again and sawed even deeper into my flesh, until he hit the bone structure of my wings. I writhed in pain, blood now pouring from my wound. I closed my eyes, hoping it would all be over in a few moments. But the man stopped, wanting me to feel pain before sawing all the way through my bone. As the wing came off cleanly, with only a small stub of bone left, I screeched and screamed again, tears now flowing from my bloodshot blue eyes.

"Stop, please!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, but the man only continued to saw off my right wing, this time right away instead of waiting for me to feel pain. I guess he was starting to get impatient with my yelling.

He placed the wings on the tray and put them back inside the cabinet, labelled For Farther Research He then threw me back into my cage. Blood was pouring from my eyes, my hooves were covered in blood and my cutie mark had been covered by claw marks. That was when I saw the paper he pinned to my cage.
