So ... Do I ship this? Somewhat. Yeah!
I think that they could posibably understand each other on a deeper level. I mean, both turned into demons who tried to take over the school. Both left the pony world. And both were antagonist. Both kind of feel mis understood. They went through similar situations. Although in the beginning of the movie both seam to have some tension. How adagio was trying to convince them that they were alike and Sunset was saying that she wasn't like Adagio because she changed. Both have very bold and firey personalities and firey coloured hair as was mentioned by others.
They both felt the same feeling of being ignored and wanting all the spotlight on them and them alone. Wanting to be at the top and not caring who they had to crush and climb over to get there. Both wanting to take over the school and gradually  the whole of aquestria. Both wanting all the magic and power. And both ultimately suffering defeat from Twilight Sparkle and her friends. The only difference is sunset realized her mistakes. And learned that friendship is the most powerful form of magic.

So that's how I feel about this ship.
