Okay so I want to point out that when you like mlp, lots of times you imagine yourself as one. So explain your character to me, what they look like, their personality, their backstory! AND DONT FORGET THE MANE AND CUTIEMARK. I even have a few tips such as: when you make Alicorn OC you have to do a good job. Such as making a sister to the two sisters. You have to make sure the backstory makes sense. Or even a child of a mane character. Without a proper backstory and personality it won't feel right. Another thing is to make sure your pony is you. My OC doesn't look a thing in real life (not that anyone should resemble a pastel pony) but another character IS me. If you've read my stories you've most likely met Rosabelle or Ella. These are my main characters. Rosabelle resembles me in my RoseTDrama way, with more adventure in her. Ella is the real me with more dramaticness in her. I know it's confusing but hey, I'm always confusing. If you look a my profile you see a girl in a costume. That girl is a super hero i made on an app. She's the Hummer, or in the normal world, Ella. While lots of other heros i made are Rosabelle. So yes, these characters are both me. What was the point of this again? Meh I'll just go hug dsdani3
