"What the hell is this?" I screamed at Christian. A picture from tonight's game just showed up on my page I wasn't exactly fond of: Christian kissing a fan on the cheek. "Babe, it's nothing I swear. If I thought you were gonna freak out, I wouldn't have done it." He said and I shook my head.

"That's bull shit Christian! You know I hate when fans flirt with you! Why the hell did you have to kiss her on the cheek? Couldn't you have just signed her shirt or some shit!" I yelled and he shook his head. "She didn't have anything to sign." He said and I shook my head.

"That's crap and you know it. If you don't have anything to sign, just say no." I told him. "I'm not an ass hole!" He yelled. "All you have to say is that you have a girlfriend! Or did you just forget that." I scoffed and he shook his head.

"(Y/N), stop it. That's bull shit that you would even say that. We've been together for 6 years. You should know by now and have enough trust in me to know I'm not going to cheat on you with some fan." He told me, not yelling anymore but still speaking sternly.

"Forget it, it's late. I need to decompress." I told him and he sighed. "I'm sorry I made you so upset. I'll sleep on the couch until you decide you want to talk." He said sadly and my head sank. I knew I made him upset and I completely trust him, but he really upset me and saw nothing wrong with it.

I got ready for bed and laid down, tears falling down my face as I drifted to sleep, hoping to be able to sleep without Christian's arms wrapped around me.

I woke up when I heard the loud cracks of thunder, my body shaking immediately. My absolute biggest fear is thunderstorms, and if I can hardly sleep without Christian without rain, I will never be able to do it during a thunderstorm.

Tears slid down my face and a scream erupted from my lips when a crack of thunder happened. I knew Christian didn't wake up, thunderstorms don't faze him but that never stopped him from staying up until the early hours of the morning comforting me through them.

I contemplated going to get Christian but I knew I upset him and didn't know if that was the right choice. But the second the biggest thunder so far cracked, I was down the stairs and on my way to Christian.

I shoved his shoulder and poked his arm until he woke up. He groaned and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes, stretching his limbs. His eyes immediately widened when he saw my frantic state and he pulled me into his arms immediately.

I fell into his lap, sobs escaping my lips, mostly from fear but also out of relief that Christian wasn't upset with me anymore. I was worried he would say screw you and leave me crying over the storm. "Shh, baby girl what's wrong. I've got you, you're okay. I'm not going to let anything hurt you, okay?" He assured me, running his hands through my hair in attempt to calm me down.

Eventually, my breathing evened out and lifted my head from Christian's shoulder, our foreheads leaning against each other. "I'm so sorry I was such a bitch to you I trust you so much I just get insecure. And I'm sorry I woke you up but you know how much I hate storms and I can't sleep without you next to me." I cried out and he shushed me, his hands still in my hair.

"Babe, it's okay. I made a mistake, you had to right to be mad. I'm just glad you're not upset anymore. I'm here though, baby. I'm always gonna protect you from the storms. I always do, you know that. Now c'mon, let's go snuggle in our bed, okay?" He asked and I whispered out an "okay."

He carried me up the stairs and laid me down gently, immediately coming in next to me. I rolled over and laid on his chest, feeling comforted by his warmth. "I love you, sweet girl. I'm never going to leave you and I'm always going to protect you." He told me, kissing me softly on the forehead.

Christian ran his hands through my hair and as he said those words to me, I knew I would never have to worry about him leaving ever again.
