This is different from just various things I enjoyed or even loved from year to year. These were OBSESSIONS.

1999: My first hyperfixation that I can remember. It was Rudolph in any form.

2001: Absolutely any book or show about doctors because my special interest was medical stuff, including this masterpiece

2002: Jojo's Circus, maybe Beauty and the Beast? Still the doctor hyperfixation as well

2003: Finding Nemo, American Girl books, Magic Treehouse

2004: American Girl books and any historical fiction

2005: Titanic documentaries, Magic Treehouse Fact Trackers

2006: My special interest at this point was dogs. I'm not sure I had any movie or show hyperfixations.

2007: Adventures in Odyssey and other similar shows 😭 Horses started to creep in as well. Also the Because of Winn-Dixie movie for some reason.

2008: Adventures in Odyssey, any movie with horses or animals in general in it (which meant TONS of direct to DVD wonders), TLC trash TV

2009: I loved all Disney Channel shows but Suite Life and Wizards of Waverly Place were my super hyperfocused ones. I liked Narnia movies a lot but I'm not sure it was intense enough to be a special interest. Still TLC trash TV.

2010: Disney Channel shows

2011: I was so angsty this year I don't even remember it.

2012: Lord of the Rings, I started to actually have *taste* in some of the movies I enjoyed

2013: LOTR/The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, BBC Sherlock

2014: Rinse and repeat from last year, Marvel, a SUPER brief Star Wars phase, the OG spider-man series (both of them)

2015: Marvel, The Hunger Games, clinical depression

2016/2017: I can't differentiate these years. I didn't have a lot of special interests because I was depressed. Movies I enjoyed and watched a lot on my laptop were The Light Between Oceans, The Danish Girl, Les Miserables, The Imitation Game, Room, The Theory of Everything, A Monster Calls, Rogue One, so on and so forth.

2018: I remember absolutely nothing about this year

2019: My Broadway revival began, Doctor Who

Since 2019 I've just liked the exact same stuff.
