Years ago when I was beginning the re-write of Seventh Realm while doing Great Courses on writing (I completed only one of these endeavors), I did this character sheet on Gabriel and then forgot about it and tonight I found it and I'm posting it here because it looks like a character tag autumn_sunfire would want to do.

PS Gabriel was in development here so it might not be 100% accurate

A CHARACTER TAG

Character: Gabriel

Moral weaknesses: Mouthy. Gets into things he shouldn't be involved in. A little rude.

Psychological weaknesses: Doesn't know who he is or what he wants to live for. Harbors resentment. Deep down is terrified of Bellicans.

Goal: Keep all Bellicans away from himself and his family.

Want: He wants to keep Bellicans away from himself because he looks strange and carries the seer blood, making him a target. He worries it's his fault he attracted the Bellicans and led to his mother's death, so he keeps away from other people to protect them.

Need: He needs to work with the Bellicans around him to drive away Rex Bellum forever.

Ghost (what haunts your character): The source of his fears and weaknesses began when nine children vanished from his classroom, and solidified when his mother died.

Characterization: He is sassy, smart, sarcastic, rude, and wants MORE but has no idea what MORE is. He is obsessed with being bigger and stronger than everyone in his family, subconsciously out of the desire to protect them. He reads books because within them he finds the courage and capabilities he longs to possess within himself.

Changed character: He returns to the Low Country having overcome his prejudice, looked his fear (the Bellicans) in the face and saw within them exactly who he is. He has begun to see gray areas.
