Part 44: Meeting the Jacksons (pt. 2)
June's point of view
Michael is outside, having time with his brothers while I'm sitting on the couch with Janet, LaToya and Michael's parents. Joseph remained silent, he didn't say a word to me since Michael introduced me to him. I don't even know if this is a good thing or not. Maybe he'll talk to me soon; I hope he will, I really want to get along with him. Anyway. Janet and LaToya told me a couple of things about Michael that I didn't know, like how Joseph used to scare him by wearing a monster's mask, or the fact that he put spiders in LaToya's bed. It seems to be only details about his life, but I like to hear it. I really want to know as much things as I can about the man in my life.
"And you, dear, what about your childhood?" Katherine gently asked me.
"It was a lot of fun, too. I used to do a lot of silly things with my brother, Julian. I remember once, he just had his driver's license, and he wanted to brag and take me to the mall, so he asked my father if he could have his car for the day to take me to the mall, and my father being this gentle and giving man agreed. The thing is, when Julian went to the gas station, he put the wrong gas in the car, so we were stuck there because he flooded the engine." I said, giggling as I remember this day like it was yesterday.
Janet, Katherine and LaToya were slightly laughing, and Joseph was just emotionless, I couldn't tell what he was thinking.
"So you have a brother? Where does he live?" asked Janet with a smile.
"Um, he passed away seven years ago. He's in God's hands." I said, looking at my lap and then looking at them, forcing a smile.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know. I'm sorry for you lost." shyly said Janet.
"Thank you. You couldn't know anyway."
"And what about your parents?" asked LaToya.
"My mom lives in New York by herself, since I lost my dad a month ago." God, I hate this. I don't want anyone to feel pitty for me. I know I don't have the best life, but I'm a fighter, and Michael has helped me a lot through this step of my life. He was always there, he was everywhere and I couldn't thank him enough for this.
"Oh sweetie... I'm so sorry." LaToya told me, rubbing my arm.
"It's ok. Michael has helped me a lot through this." I said, weakly smiling at them. "You raised an amazing man, Mr and Mrs Jackson."
"Thank you, love." said Katherine, smiling. "Anyway, you have new borthers and sisters here. You're a part of this family, now." She gently told me, rubbing my shoulder.
"Thank you so much. It means a lot." I smiled at her. She walked out of the room, and Janet and LaToya followed her giving me a warm hug. This was me and Joseph alone, now.
"What kind of relationship did you have with your father?" Joseph asked me, sitting in front of me.
"After Julian died, he was the only one who succeded in replacing my brother who used to be my confidant, my best friend, the one I could tell everything to. My dad wasn't only my father, the one who gave me birth, he was also my best friend, my other half." I sincerly said, trying not to cry.
"You basically lost the two most important people in your life." Joseph concluded, nodding.
"Yes, sir. But since your son walked into my life, pain seems to be more bearable."
"So you're not going to break his heart?" He asked, emotionless.
"I would never do such a thing on purpose, Mr Jackson. Never." I said, putting my hand over my heart.
He nodded, "What do you do for a living?"
"I'm a translator. Well, I am Michael's offical translator since he began his European Tour."
"Interesting. How important is Michael's career for you?"
"I used to be a fan of Michael. I still am, but it's not the same, now." I began, giggling. "Michael loves his fan, and I love them too, because those people used to be like a second family for me, and I don't want them to be disappointed about Michael's career being ruined because of something or someone. I won't let anything happen to his career, ever. It is as important for me, as it is for him." I sincerly said, causing Joseph to crack a smile for the very first time.
"That's a good answer." He declared, with a little smile on his face. "Michael doesn't need some girl who doesn't understand his life style. When Michael was telling eveybody how you two met, I have to say that I was a little bit hesitant about your relationship. But now we talked, if what you're saying is actually true, then you're great for him."
"I guarantee you that what I'm saying is the honest truth, sir." I said with a smile. Did he just give me his blessing for being with Michael, or am I dreaming?
He nodded again. "Did Michael talk to you about me?" He asked me, nervous.
"Yes, he did." I said, not wanting to say anything about what Michael said. I don't want him to feel betrayed by his own son.
"What did he say?"
"Um... He told me about-"
I was cut off by screams outside the door, and just as Joseph, I got up from the couch, and walked outside the house. Once I was inside, I was looking for Michael, but no one was there, so I decided to look around the house.
"Uh-uh, I won't do this if I were you..." Joseph said, shaking his head.
"Wh--" As I was about to ask him why, someone throw me a water balloon in the back.
"That's why" Joseph said, laughing a little.
I turned over to see Michael almost die laughing. I shook my head at him, and ran to him. Of course, he ran away when he saw me running towards him. How childish he is...
As I was running after Michael, Janet grabbed my arm from nowhere, and kept me hidden with her behind a wall. She was wet from head to toes.
"I need you to distract Michael again, so I can throw these to him" she said, showing me a bunch of water balloons. "He always wins a water ballon fight, and I don't like to lose, so I need you. Make him believe you're on his side, ok? So me, LaToya and Jackie could get him"
"Received 5/5, my captain." I nodded, and got out of my hiding place. I called Michael's name a few time, but he didn't show up. I went at the back of the house, and called his name again.
"Michael!" I shouted. "Come on, baby! I don't have any weapons to fight back!" I shouted again. "Plus, I know where Janet is hiding..." I said a little less louder. I heard footseps coming behind me, and when I turned over hoping to see Michael, Jermaine stood there with a water ballon in his hands.
"Where is she?" He asked like his life depended on me.
"Give me Michael, and I'll give you Janet." I blackmailed him.
"You give me Janet before"
"You wish! Seriously, I need to speak to Michael. Do you know where he is?"
"Is this important, can't it wait?"
"Honestly, no, it can't." I said, faking emergency in my voice.
"Ok. He is at the back of the garden with Randy, they're developing a kind of plan." He said, rolling his eyes playfully.
"At the back of the garden? Great, thank you, Jermaine!" I said, so Janet could hear it.
I made my way to Michael, and when he saw me, I put my hands up and told him and Randy I came in peace. I gently asked Randy to leave us alone because I needed to talk to Michael, and he did, telling Michael he was going to find team Janet for him. This made me laugh.
"You're up to something, I know it." He said, looking at me suspiciously.
"No, I'm not. I just wanted to tell you something important." I said, smiling.
"What is it, then?" He asked, staying away from me.
"It's about Joseph."
"What did he say? Did he say something which hurt you? Because I swear I--"
"No! He didn't, on the contrary. He kind of gave me his blessing to be with you. He said I was great for you" I said, smiling from ear to ear.
"W-What?" Michael asked me in disbelief. "Joseph told you this?" He asked, a smile apprearing on his face.
"Yes sir, he asked me a couple of question, and he said you didn't need a woman who doesn't understand your life style, which I'm not. He even smiled to me, you know." I said, proudly.
"Oh baby, this is amazing!" He said, picking me up and spinning me around. "I'm so happy! I was afraid Joseph wouldn't approve our relationship!" he put me back on the ground and wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Well, you don't have to worry about this anymore" I said with a large smile.
"I love you so, so much." He said, resting his forehead on mine.
"I love you even more" I answered, placing my arms around his neck.
He gave me a soft but passionate kiss, still smiling. I kissed him back, running my fingers through his curls. As I knew Janet, LaToya and Jackie were hiding near us, I made a sign with my hand to tell them to get ready to shoot Michael with their balloons. I pulled away from the kiss, and stepped back.
"Why are you st--" He was cut off by a rain of water balloons crashing on his entire body. I was laughing my head off.
"Like I said earlier, what goes around, comes around, Mikey" I said between giggles.
"The king has fallen! Thank you, girl!" Janet said, hugging me.
"You trapped me!" Michael exclaimed, removing some strands of hair from his eyes.
"Mmmh... Kind of, yeah" I said, giggling.
"And you, Jackie, I thought you were on my side!"
"Sorry bro, but my sisters needed some male back-up..." he said shrugging his shoulders.
"Where are Jermaine, Randy and Tito? They were supposed to be my back up!"
"Come on, baby. Don't blame them, just admit you lost at your own game." I said with a compassionate smile.
"I never lost a watter balloon fight!" He whined, pounting his lips.
"Since today!" said Janet, making a victory dance with LaToya and Jackie.
Jermaine and Randy met us at the back of the garden, and looked at Michael in disbelief.
"Seriously, Mike? I thought we were in the winning team because we had you!" said Jermaine.
"You suck, next time, I'm team Janet!" Randy added.
We laughed, and Michael rolled his eyes playfully at them before asking: "Where's Tito?"
"He left, Dee Dee called him." Jermaine answered.

Michael's point of view
We're all dry from our watter balloon fight and just finished dinner. We're sitting in the living room with Mother, Janet and Randy. My other siblings are gone, just as Joseph who's at Rebbie's to check on Stacee; he didn't even talk to me about what he thought about June, and I'm a little bit sad about it. He talked to her, and that's a great thing, but I hoped he'd talk to me. Anyway. Mother asked us to stay the night, and we couldn't refuse because Janet was begging us to stay. I really love my little sister, she's really sweet and loving and I know I can say everything to her. I'm just wondering if mother will let me spend the night in the same bed as June. I mean, I know I'm a grown man now, but my mother being a Jehovah's witness doesn't want me to have sex before I'm married. Well, too late... I'm afraid to tell her I already had sex whereas I'm not even married. I don't know how she'll react to this, even if I quited being one of them a few years ago. I mean, I can sleep in a bed with my girlfriend without having sex with her, right?
"You look tired, mother." I said, looking at her.
"Yes, I am. I didn't sleep that well last night."
"You should get some sleep. You really look tired."
"I want to stay a little bit longer with you, Michael. It been months I didn't see you." My mother sadly said.
"It's ok, mother. I'll be there when you wake up tomorrow" I said with a smile.
"Okay, then. Have a sweet night, you all." she said, standing up from the couch and waving at us. "Oh, and Michael." she added, turning to face me.
"Yes, mother?"
"Your room is being renovated because of a leak on the ceiling, so you and June will have to sleep in the guest bedroom."
"Oh, um. Ok, thank you mother. Have a sweet night." I said with a little smile.
"You too, honey." she answered, while leaving the living room.
That's some good news, I thought, smirking at myself.
"So, what about a board game?" Janet asked.
"Which one?" Randy asked back.
"What about... Pictionary? I know you love it, Applehead!" she excitedly said.
"Oh, I love it too!" June exclaimed from next to me.
"Let's do this, then" I said with a smile.
"I guess it's gonna be Team Janet versus Team Michael again, uh?" Janet said, giving me a challenging stare.
"You guess right, little sister."
Janet put the game plate on the table, and we gathered around it. As June is my team-mate, she sat next to me, and Randy and Janet sat in front of us. As Janet is the youngest here, she is starting. She rolled the dice, and the first square she fell on was a blue one, which means she had to draw an object. She looked at the card, and began to draw something which looked as... Nothing. Janet is a terrible drawer! If you ask her to draw a simple flower, she'll try to draw a daffodil, but she will fail...
"Is that a watering can?" June whispered in my ear, tilting her head while watching Janet's art.
"Um, I thought it was a TV..." I whispered back in her ear, which made her laugh.
"Come on, Randy! It's very realistic!" she yelled at my brother, who visibly had no clue of what her drawing was supposed to represent.
"Um, I don't know! A lamp? A chair? A Picasso masterpiece?" Randy fastly asked.
"Randy, come on! Look!" Said Janet.
"Time's up!" I called, laughing.
"Urgh! Randy, it was a darn TABLE!!" my sister shouted at Randy.
June and I couldn't stop laughing at them, they were arguing because Randy told her she was a bad drawer.
"Tell me you guys got it!" Janet said, turning her head to look at me and June. I looked at June, and we bursted out laughing again.
"Sorry, Dunk" I said, still laughing.
"Go ahead, your turn now!" she challenged me. I rolled the dice, and fell on a purple square, which means that I had to draw an action. I picked up the card and looked at it: marry.
"Ok, you're ready, baby?"
"Yeah, let's go!"
I began to draw a woman and a man holding hands face to face with a smile on their face. Then, I drew a long dress on the woman, and just next to that, I drew a box with a ring in it.
"Love?" June asked.
I shook my head no and continued to draw a suit on the man.
"Ah!! MARRY!" June exclaimed.
"YES!" I excitedly answered. I gave June a victory kiss, and looked at Janet. She was frowning.
"This one was easy! I'm sure I would have done better."
My baby sister is such a bad sport, I'm telling you. "Of course, Jan, of course." I said, mocking her.
"Our turn! Randy, focus." She demanded, giving the pencil to my brother.

June's point of view
It's eleven now, and we beated Randy and Janet hollow. Michael is a really good drawer. I can't understand how good he can draw whereas his handwritting is so messy... Whatever. Before we go to bed, Janet lent me some pajamas and some panties for tomorrow. I put the Minnie Mouse pajamas on and went to bed next to Michael who was wearing nothing but his boxers which hugged his perfect butt. Stop it, you pervert! Don't forget about what he did to you this morning! I mentally slapped myself. My conscious is right, and I surely won't have sex in Michael's parents' house. I'm a respectful person, and I think it's not respectful to have sex in a house who belongs to Jehovah's witnesses.
I slipped into the covers next to Michael, and automatically cuddled up to him, resting my head on his chest, and my hand on his stomach. He pulled my closer to him by my waist, and laid a kiss on my head.
"So, what do you think about them?" he whispered to me.
"They're amazing. All of them. They're friendly, and welcoming and nice... I love them all, really." I sincerly admitted.
"I'm glad you do. I'm feeling so much better now." he said, rubbing the top of my hand. "You know what?" he asked.
"No, what?" I asked back, looking up to meet his eyes.
"I think today made me love you even more, if it's possible. See you smiling and laughing with my family felt so good."
I smiled wide at him and gave him a long kiss on his soft lips. "I am happy with you, Michael. I'm happy around your family. I love you from the bottom of my heart." I said, looking at his big brown sparkly eyes. I kissed his lips once more, and rested my head on his chest again.
Today was one of the best days of my life.
