we gaze upon dreams

like stargazers look

at the stars in the sky.

we gaze upon dreams

as if they're meant to

belong to the sky -

out of our reach,

out of our touch,

disappearing at the

break of dawn into

the gnawing chaos

of the daylight.

we gaze upon dreams

as if they are just meant

to be gazed at like the stars,

forgetting that our pockets

have been stitched to carry

as many dreams as our heart

can stitch on the sky.

we gaze upon dreams as if 

they are mere stars,

burning out and disintegrating,

forgetting that we aren't meant

to gaze upon dreams,

we are meant to just 

dive into our dreams.
