XXXII. Don't Go
"Aigoo..." Jinyoung's grandma let out a sigh as her breathing got heavier. "I'm going to rest for a little bit..."
My eyes darted to the heart monitor, and I saw it slowing down. "Oh my god--"
"Grandma?? Grandma?!?!" Jinyoung yelled desperately, shaking her body.
The doctors came bursting in, shoving us out.
My eyes were wide the entire time. "What-what happened?!" I looked through the window and saw the doctors using some machines on her. Granny Woo was laying on the bed, not responding.
Jinyoung desperately looked through the blinds that now fully covered the window, muttering, "grandma...please don't leave me. Please don't go. God, please don't let her go."
Before I knew it, Jinyoung slumped down onto the bench, with sad eyes.
I sat down next to him and looked at him. I didn't know what to say to make him feel better. When I was sad, he knew how to make me feel better. How come I don't know how to make him feel better?!
"...she's not gone, Jinyoung." I said. "Granny Woo is strong."
Jinyoung frowned. "There's been too many of them...the heart attacks..."
I didn't know how to respond when a tear dropped from Jinyoung's eye.
"J-Jinyoung..." I carefully put my arms around his torso, and he returned the act, putting his face in my shoulder. "I'm sorry."
Jinyoung's cries started getting louder. He didn't say anything, he just cried.
Hearing him cry made a tear drop from my eye, because of how much I related to him. Our situations were the exact same.
That's why I needed to help him like how he helped me.
Jinyoung was somebody who was always happy, always joking around and smiling. But the happiest people, are usually the saddest inside.
I shouldn't take advantage of his happiness anymore. I thought to myself, listening to his sobs. "Even though I'm mean sometimes...I hope you know that I won't ever leave you by yourself. Your grandma won't either, along with all the people that love you. Please don't hide your sadness by yourself anymore, Jinyoung."
"I know you won't leave me." He said. "G-grandma won't either."
"Because I want to make you happy like how you make me happy."
Jinyoung chuckled. "You already make me happy, Jihyun."
"I want to make you so happy that you will never need to cry again." I said, pulling back to look at his crying face.
"You make me the happiest, Jihyun." Jinyoung said nasally.
"You look terrible." I said.
"Aaand back to being mean." He said.
I smiled and wiped his cheeks with my sleeves. "You're such an ugly crier, Jinyoung."
"You're an uglier crier." He said stubbornly.
"I guess we're just both really hideous criers."
_
After Jinyoung's crying session was over, the doctors returned to us.
"You're grandma is fine for now." The doctor said. "She almost didn't survive, but that old lady is strong."
Jinyoung lit up. "Is she awake?"
He shook his head. "She needs a lot of rest for now, since she's very sensitive. You can visit her tomorrow."
Jinyoung let out a relived sigh. "God must've heard my crying..."
I nodded. "And saw your ugly crying face."
"You're never going to let that go, aren't you?"
"Nope, just like that one time when I woke up to you dressed up as a grandma."
"We promised to never speak of that ever again!!"
_
"Jinwang is such a baby~~" I sang as we walked around in a nearby mall.
"Stop teasing me." He whined.
"No." I said.
Jinyoung gave me a peck on the lips once. Then two times--then he started kissing me everywhere on my face, from my cheeks to my nose to my eyes to my chin to my ears--
"Ahh!! Okay I won't tease you anymore!" I said, covering my face.
I heard him chuckle, earning a glare from me.
I gasped when I saw an ice cream stand. "I'm suddenly hungry again!"
"Ice creeeaaaam!" Jinyoung pulled my arm and led me to the cute little stand. We ended up buying two cones.
"Mint chocolate chip is my go to." I said, licking it.
"I like strawberry." Jinyoung said.
"Is that why you always smell like strawberries?"
Jinyoung smirked. "How can you remember how I smell like?"
"You know why." I deadpanned.
Jinyoung turned to me, staring at me.
"What?" I raised my eyebrow at him.
He leaned in and licked my top lip.
The move made me nearly choke on thin air. "J-Jinyoung!" You already know that my face was all red.
"Yes, Jihyun?"
"Why do you have to do those things, when you could just tell me!" I pouted.
"But it's fun~~" He said. "To see your reaction."
I rolled my eyes. "I hate you."
"I hate you means something else in that weird language you speak, so I know you don't." Jinyoung said.
"Uh huh sure." I said.
_
We went shopping soon after. I was looking at rack when Jinyoung did his signature move--I mean he has a lot, but the cliche (af) backhug. His lips rested on my neck.
"What do you want.." I muttered.
"You."
"............no."
"Yes."
"You're such a romanticist." I said.
"Do you even know what that means?"
"No but I wanted to use it."
Jinyoung's intense stare burned into me but I tried to ignore it. From my side-vision, he looked like he was in his own world.
Jinyoung chuckled. "That would look good on you." He said, gesturing at the top in my hands. "But anything looks good on you."
My cheeks burned at his comment. "Thanks..."
"Haha, you're suddenly shy."
"I'm not!" I said. "It's because you keep saying and doing those things."
"What things?" He asked.
I rolled my eyes.
Jinyoung then started placing kisses up and down and all around my neck. I SWEAR THIS GUY NEVER STOPS.
"Stop that." I ordered, somehow trying to stop the heat crawling up my face using the powers of my brain. (Hint: it didn't work)
Jinyoung snickered. "You're so cute."
I let out a huff of breath. "You're crazy."
_
Jinyoung drove me back to my dorm, refusing to let me take the bus alone.
"I hope I debut." I said and yawned. "I want to but the boys chance of winning is too big."
"I want to debut too." Jinyoung said. "The boys have an advantage but I hope YG decides to be an angel and let both genders debut."
"YG is never an angel." I said.
"Your right."
I sighed as my dorm came into view.
Before I could get out of the car, Jinyoung pressed his lips against mine.
Unlike the little pecks he's been giving, this was more rough. It was like an ultra romantic k-drama kiss scene, so I'm pretty sure you can imagine how it was. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I'm pretty sure that literally lasted a whole minute, but I'm not sure since my brain flew out of my head.
When we parted, cue the embarrassment.
"Ooookay, goooodbye." I said, quickly dashing out.
"GOODBYE JIHYUNIEEEE!!!!" Jinyoung yelled out the car window as I entered the dorm building. I'm pretty sure the entire neighborhood heard him. "THAT WAS A GOOD KISS!!!!!!!"
"JIN. YOUNGGGG!!!!!!!" I yelled angrily. I literally sworn to strangle myself and him then and there but I was too flustered to do so.
I'm going to murder that dude one day.
