XXII. Leave It Behind
I opened my eyes, and was greeted by a shocking sight.
[A/N: Yes, this is indeed Woo Jinyoung/Hiphop grandma]
I choked back laughs, surprised that my mood got better in .5 seconds. "AHAHAHAHA--JINYOUNG--WHAT--THE--HELL--"
Jinyoung's head snapped up and he immediately covered himself. "AHH!! YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO SEE ME LIKE THIS!!"
I laughed so hard as Jinyoung bolted to the bathroom, messing up his hair so it looked better. My stomach was hurting so badly from laughing.
"STOP LAUGHING!!" Jinyoung yelled.
"AHAHAHAHA--YOU LOOKED SO FUNNY--"
"Stop making fun of meee!!" Jinyoung whined and stomped his feet.
My laughs soon calmed down and I wiped my tears. "That was so funny--"
"I hate you."
"You're so cute." I teased.
"My hiphop grandma image is cute??"
"No." I said. "It's scary actually, ahaahahha but it was so funny--"
"We will never speak of this ever again." Jinyoung said. "You were supposed to be asleep!!!"
"I was pretending in case you were a murderer. I'd rather die with my eyes closed." I said plainly. "But I didn't recognize you for a whole second."
"I actually went outside like that once."
"YOU DID?!" I started laughing.
"Someone recognized me too. But I lied saying it wasn't me. Okay, moving on." Jinyoung said.
"You probably lost half of your fans." I said.
"No, they loved me more after it so it's okay." Jinyoung said. "Everything I do is just lovable."
"I disagree." I said.
"Everything you do is lovable." Jinyoung grinned and climbed on the bed, laying down next to me.
I gave him a weird look. "What are you doing?"
"This is my bed, I can lay in it if I want."
"It's my bed now." I said.
"It can be both of our beds." He smirked.
I pursed my lips together and held up and X with my arms. "Anyways, why am I here again?"
"The doctors called me to pick you up, and when I came you were out cold." Jinyoung said.
"Why would they call you to pick me up..."
"I don't know, but why not? You trust me right?"
"Yeah." I said quietly.
"...I heard about your mom too." Jinyoung said sadly.
"And?"
"I'm sorry for you."
"...."
"I wish for your suffering to end...I can see how sad you are, but you never show it. I don't want you to hurt anymore and just keep it all to yourself."
"...I'm not fine, but I can't do anything about it. She's not dead." I said. "The only thing I can do now is hope."
"I will too."
I sighed and stared at the ceiling. The room became awkwardly quiet, mainly because I was stuck in my thoughts and it seemed like Jinyoung couldn't say anything. I finally turned to him. "Stop that."
He looked at me. "Stop what?"
"I don't want anything to change because you feel bad for me. Stop pitying me." I said.
Jinyoung softly smiled. "I won't."
"Are you hungry?" He suddenly asked.
"No."
"You should drink this." Jinyoung said and held up the mug to my lips. I drank the liquid inside without asking what it was.
"What's that?"
"A tea or something to make you feel better. I found the recipe on google so it must work." Jinyoung said.
"Well it tasted like grass." I said.
"Did I put grass in it....?" Jinyoung muttered to himself.
I hit his arm. "If I die today it'll be your fault."
"No, you'd probably kill me first."
I nodded. "True." I yawned and ducked under the blanket. "I'm going back to sleep."
"Jihyunieee~~it's time to eat~~!" Jinyoung said cutely.
"I don't even need to see you to cringe." I said.
Jinyoung pulled the blanket off my head and pulled my arm. "You probably haven't eaten today, so you have to."
"I don't want toooo. Just let me starve by myself." I said.
Jinyoung frowned and squished my cheeks. "How could I ever do that to you??"
"I hate you." I deadpanned.
Jinyoung stood up and pulled my arm harder. "Okay, it's time to get up!"
I muttered nonsense, whining as I stood up and made my way into the kitchen tiredly. There were already boxes of food laid out on the dinner table.
I yawned and sat down, my stomach suddenly grumbling at the sight of food.
I started eating, and I didn't realize I was so hungry until I did. Jinyoung ate quietly and stared at me.
"I told you you were hungry." He said.
"I guesh I amf." I said with my mouth full.
He stifled a laugh. "Finishing chewing before you talk!"
I swallowed and nodded. "Anyways, why aren't you practicing?"
"Wait--" Jinyoung reached over and wiped something off my mouth with his thumb.
I was a bit stunned for .2 seconds but quickly snapped out of it. "You could've just told me..." I muttered.
"There's no fun in that." He said triumphantly. "Anyways, my group is really ahead with practicing because we've been not sleeping, so we decided we could take a break."
"I wish my group was like that..." I yawned. "Their progress is even slower now without their leader."
"I don't think you should work still."
"I'll come back tomorrow." I said. "My energy will be back up by then."
"Are you sure?" Jinyoung asked, concerned.
I nodded. "I'll be fine."
"That's what you always say..." He muttered to himself.
"Because it's true." I said, standing up to put my dishes in the sink. I decided to wash them since it was the least I could do for Jinyoung, who took his time to come get and take care of me.
I was concentrating on washing the dishes when two arms snaked around my waist from behind. Here he goes again. Rest In Peace my heart ❤️.
Jinyoung rested his chin on my shoulder and asked, "what are you doing?"
My cheeks burned and I replied with, "what does it look like?"
"You're sick, you shouldn't be washing the dishes." Jinyoung said.
I sighed. "I'm not sick."
"Plus, it's my house so I should wash them." Jinyoung stopped me from picking up another plate. "Go go, don't worry I'm really good at it."
I stepped aside and sighed. When will I ever get to repay this guy back...
