(this is banana culture's lee jaejun, big jaejun not little jaejun :)
"Why hello there."
I slightly looked to the person next to me--or rather, leaning onto me like I was some sofa, with his face inside my hair.
"Why do you smell like flowers, even after a long and exhausting day?"
"I dunno, Jaejun, maybe it's the $150 Gucci limited edition rose petal gold infused perfume you gave me because your mother simply 'didn't want it' anymore." I said.
"In my defense, she said you seem like a beautiful luxurious young lady, and beautiful luxurious young ladies use luxurious Gucci perfumes." Jaejun stated, poking my nose. "And I agree."
I shook my head in disbelief and chuckled. "Thanks, i suddenly feel like a princess."
"Correction: you are a princess."
I slightly blushed. "Okay, you can stop now."
"You're my princess."
My cheeks heated up even more and I pushed his head away with my hand. "I'm not your princess, I'm a free princess."
"You can be my princess." He winked and laughed, playing it all off as a joke.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."
"Anyways, do you know what day it is tomorrow?" He asked, a big smile crawling up his face.
"I dunno, Tuesday." I said.
Jaejun rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. "You're so mean."
I laughed and patted his shoulder. "I'm kidding, I know what day it is tomorrow."
Jaejun lit up. "And it is?"
"The day after today."
Jaejun groaned and flicked my forehead. "I hate you."
"No you don't, otherwise you wouldn't have been by my side for ten years straight. Ten years straight tomorrow, that is." I said smugly.
"You did remember!!!" He squealed happily and crushed me in a bone-crushing hug.
"I-I did." I managed to say, being suffocated by how right Jaejun was squeezing me.
"Tomorrow is our friendiversary, so we're going out to dinner tomorrow. No excuses, you're going." Jaejun said.
I rolled my eyes. "I didn't say I wasn't gonna."
Jaejun smiled again. "It's a date."
"No, it's not you little--"
THE DAY AFTER
"Wow." Jaejun said in awe, after I opened the door for him.
I raised my eyebrow. "I'm only wearing pants and a shirt, why do you seem so impressed--"
Jaejun grabbed my hand without another word, leading me out and into the car.
My heart skipped a beat at the action. Or a few hundred. "S-so, where are we going?"
"Our favorite chicken restaurant, what else?" He asked.
"You're the best." I said giving a thumbs up to him.
Soon, we arrived at the greasy chicken (but delicious) restaurant, the two of us eagerly went inside, getting a small booth in the corner.
"How may I get your order for the gorgeous lady and man today?"
"I'll have the usual, granny--" I looked up. Usually, there was this nice grandma that greeted me and Jaejun every time, and get our orders for us too. We all became very good friends with her.
But, instead of kind little granny woo, she was replaced by a boy that looked around Jaejun and I's age.
"I heard that I looked like my grandma but I didn't think that much!" The guy laughed.
I chuckled sheepishly and then gave out my order the proper way.
"Will do." He said, writing down the order and then taking Jaejun's as well. "Pretty lady, may I ask for your name? For educational purposes, of course." He winked.
I chuckled and blushed slightly, telling the dude my name. But I didn't notice that Jaejun was still sitting across from me, his fists slightly clenched.
"I am Lee Byunggon, at your service. If you need anything princess, I will be right there, in exchange for your number of course." He said, smirking and then walking away.
I chuckled and felt the heat crawling up my face still. Jaejun was staring straight at me, with his eyes narrowed.
"Don't give him your number." He said. "And only I can call you princess!"
Is he jealous? I looked at Jaejun, "why not?"
"Because, you don't really know him." Jaejun said.
"He seems like a nice person to me." I said, testing Jaejun.
"Well I'm your best friend and I won't let him touch you nor talk to you nor flirt with you. Seeing it annoys me, to be quite frank." Jaejun said stubbornly.
I rolled my eyes and then smirked at Jaejun. "Are you jealous?"
Jaejun looked at me dead in the eyes.
"I am jealous." He said.
Heat crawled up my face and I tried to cover it with a fake sneeze, that failed quite miserably.
Jaejun started laughing. "Now you're surprised."
".................yeah."
"You're mine."
I choked on my water. "I'm what?!"
"You're my best friend."
I rolled my eyes. "Cause that is exactly what I heard."
"Indeed."
Byunggon The Waiter soon arrived again with our delicious crispy fried chicken. Just looking at it made my arteries clog, but in a good way.
"Enjoy your meal." Byunggon said. "Eat as much as you want darling, I'll discount it just for you." He winked.
"Thanks." I said, stealing glances at Jaejun, who was still mildly--or very annoyed at the dude.
"No discount for me? I mean, I am the pretty lady's boyfriend after all." Jaejun said and smirked.
I shot Jaejun and glare/shocked look and saw the Byunggon dude gulp, replying with a "sure".
He left, and my cheeks heated up once again. "Jaejun!"
"Yes babe?" He teased.
I kicked Jaejun under the table, making him yelp "OW!" loudly.
"Calm downnn." He said, suddenly placing a hand over mine. "After you hear what I say it'll be true."
"What do you mean by that?" I questioned. What is he doing what is he saying??
"I like you." Jaejun flashed a large smile. "A lot."
My jaw dropped to the floor. "Y-y-you do?????"
He nodded. "So, will you be my girlfriend?"
A humongous smile crawled up my face, and I tried to hide it by making a frowning face but that obviously didn't work.
"I like you too Jaejun. I'll be your girlfriend."
