'Holograms, a famous form of technology that is widely renowned far and wide in the city of Santa Monica. In the year 2024, all kinds of paranormal phenomenon occur all over the city. The humans who dwell within this lively city began to refer to them as... Hologram Ghosts.'

It had been two weeks since Francis had been targeted by the Sewn lip man, and had turned to Casey, the Infernites, Gammamon, Kiyo, Jellymon, the Frosticons, Angoramon, Alya, Rose, and the Spikels. But when Jellymon had a run-in with a group of Nixels after an argument with Flain, she met the Klinkers, a tribe of mechanical mixels lead by Gox, and with their help, unveiled the Sewn-lip man as a champion-level Digimon known as Clockmon, who steals the time of humans, and was sent by Aleena and the Nixels as a means of covering their tracks. However, When the group confronted Clockmon, the silhouette of the White dragon appeared again, and smacked Clockmon away, but reflected the effects of his Chrono Breaker attack onto him, causing Clockmon's time to move forward, deteriorating his body, leaving Betel Gammamon to save him, alongside Flain and Krader, who both finally did a proper Mix instead of a Murp, by slowing the clock hands on his lower body and turning them counter clockwise, while everyone else handled the swarm of Nixels that had out the mechanical Digimon's targets, such as Francis. But now, Kiyo was about to have his own realization, similar to how Jellymon did...

"So, the School's gaming club is holding a Smash Bros. Tournament tonight at 8 at your place?" Casey asked, as Maya then nodded, as the duo walked to their next classes together. "Yeah, it is. You see, the gaming club's one of the extracurricular activities I'm a part of, and it just so happens that I'm the chairwoman of the club. Heck, I've even made it so people who aren't part of the club can join!" Maya smiled, as Casey just sheepishly smiled. "I-If you're thinking of having me participate, I'm no good at the game. I may have taught Gammamon and the Infernites how to play the game last week, but Henry always kicks my butt. He's just too dang good with Olimar." She admitted, as Kiyo walked by the duo. "Girls, you're on campus." He told them. "I know you're excited, but please save the talk of the Smash Bros. tournament for after school..." Casey nodded.  "Sorry, we didn't mean to get so caught up on talking about Smash ultimate..." She said, as Jellymon flew over to them, snickering. "Oh, Darling's been HOOKED on Smash recently!" She cackled, as Kiyo's black backpack, covered with all sorts of Anime pins, began showing movement from the inside, as Flurr's head popped out. "Yeah!" The Frosticon leader nodded. "Although, he quit a while after hearing some rumors on a group forum for the game..." The blue dragon added, as Kiyo sighed, while the lunch bell then rang.

The cafeteria was clamoring with the loud, scattered voices of countless other students, with Kiyo, Casey, Maya, Jellymon, and Flurr sitting in the vacant courtyard in front of the cafeteria. "Well, from what Jellymon and Flurr had said earlier, I bet you can guess that I'm no stranger when it comes to fighting games, Casey. And when you consider Smash Brothers, it's such a classic! How could I not get into it?" He asked with a smile, but it disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared. "So, I recently done a few online matches, quickly earning me the title of the 'Unhittable Champion', due to my skill of never getting hit once by my opponents in the game, but when I joined a forum for Smash, I heard about this rumor going around the internet that even Nintendo tried to cover up. Apparently, when players hit a 20-win streak, they're greeted by Mewtwo, who asks the player if they're prepared before challenges the player, and what's more, the people who fought Mewtwo in the game have been disappearing one after another... At any rate, I'm not touching a game like that again. Nobody should!" He exclaimed, before a bunch of screams erupted from the cafeteria. Worried about whatever it could be, Kiyo, Maya, and Casey ran inside the cafeteria, only to see a group of kids panicking about a broken orange-and-brown Nintendo switch on the ground. "What happened?" Kiyo asked, a bit nervous. 

One of the students, Katie, spoke up. "It's horrible! My twin sister, Sadie, was playing Smash Bros. Ultimate on our Switch to practice before the tournament, but then Mewtwo challenged her to a fight, so she selected Pikachu to fight him, but in the span of barely a minute, Mewtwo beat my sister, and dragged her into the switch...!" She said fearfully, worrying about her younger sister. Soon, the school bell rang, as the other kids all panicked without anything stopping them, running home with the image of the young girl getting dragged into her switch, as Casey picked up the switch, fear visible in her eyes. "So... That rumor you heard from the forum's true..." Casey Muttered, staring down at the console, as Kiyo seemed to tremble in place, before muttering one sentence-

"I-Integer overflow..! Integer... Overflow..." He mumbled, before collapsing. Casey looked worried for Kiyo, before Maya sighed. "Don't worry, Casey, Kii does this from time to time." The human partner of the Electroids admitted, before turning to the window, where Flurr and Jellymon were. "Jellymon, Flurr, go get the stretcher. We're gonna have a bit of a long walk back to the house."

A little while later, back at the Almenera household, everyone (Save for the siblings' mother, Camilla, who was out for the evening, and Kiyo, who was silent with fear.) was standing by Francis, who was looking on the internet for information on the rumor. "Well, so far, we haven't figured out anything about the rumors involving the people who have been playing Smash Ultimate having to fight Mewtwo in the game on any other website..." Francis said, as he closed his laptop. Meanwhile, Gammamon kept poking Kiyo's head, continuously repeating 'Integer Overflow!' almost endlessly. "Wha- Why'z Gammamon zaying that?" Zaptor asked, looking over at the white triceratopsian Digimon, who was still going at it. "Yeah, that? It's uh..." Maya mumbled, before Jellymon snickered, causing the partner of the Electroids to sigh.

"Jellymon, DON'T. We all know you love sharing gossip and stuff, but this once..." Maya told her, seeming exasperated. "This ONE time, please don't..." But Jellymon completely ignored her. "Oh, you're all gonna LOVE this!" She laughed. "Ever since Darling was little, whenever he'd get too scared and his fear count would reach max capacity, His brain would just overflow from the terror, and his internal systems would temporarily stop working! Ever since Maya first saw it happen back on Halloween of 2012, She and Darling have been calling it an 'Integer overflow!'" She chuckled, as Maya just stared at the Mollusk Digimon, unamused. "Is that really what they-" Vulk tried to say, before Zaptor, engrossed in what Jellymon was saying, covered his mouth. "Let the Jellyfizh zpeak, Vulk." was all he said. "Thanks for that, Lightning Rod. Cause if you think that's where it ends? Oh-ho-ho, boy, trust me, the REALLY fun stuff comes up next." She said to the group. "Everyone knows that, for Flight responses, there's fight responses. Ergo, for Integer overflows, there's a little something I like calling Limit Breaks." The Mollusk Digimon then turned to face Burnard, who was holding Henry's Switch. "Perky-Pyro? Toss me the Switch." Upon hearing her, Burnard, who was sitting on the other side of the room, perked up, as he turned around. "Alright. HEADS UP!" He said, as he chucked the switch at Jellymon, who (luckily) caught it. "Alright, and..." Jellymon mumbled, as she tapped the A button, causing Smash Bros. Ultimate to start up its opening cutscene, Causing Kiyo to finally open his eyes, and... Hid underneath the table, trembling. "I-I'm so sorry...!" He whimpered. "P-Please don't drag me into the Switch...!"

The Mixels all stared at Kiyo, alongside Gammamon. "And I'm guezzing thiz iz the limit break that you were talking about, Jellymon?" Teslo asked her, as she nodded. "Sure is!" but then, she stopped herself. "... But, no. Normally, it would be! But no. He failed." The mollusk Digimon sighed, before a small note slid under the door. Curious as to what it could be, Amber walked over to the door, and picked up the note. "It's from Crimson Shinobi." She said, as the group went over to her side while she looked over the note. "She says she knows a couple of Digimon who can help us. We just have to meet them at Playland Arcade. Luckily, it's over at the pier, so it shouldn't be that far of a walk there." Maya only nodded, but Flain seemed a bit confused. "You mentioned that Crimson Shinobi figure before, Amber. Just who are they?" The leader of the Infernites asked her. "Well, to be honest, I don't know. They wrote me and Alya some letter the same day we got my Pendit and she got her D-Vigor. What's more, the same black cat with a red backpack you told me you saw the night you met Gammamon and the Infernites delivered them to us. All in all, I'm just as curious as to who Crimson Shinobi is as you are, Flain..." She admitted, as the group began to pack up for the pier.

As the group arrived at the pier, they saw more switches resting on the boardwalk, with Burnard just collecting them like little colorful treasures. "I still can't believe this is happening..." Rose muttered to herself, as Scorpi hopped onto her shoulder, and nuzzled her head, trying to comfort her. "Alright, so according to Crimson Shinobi's note, we're looking for 2 Digimon called Tapirmon, and Ginkakumon..." Kiyo reminded the team, as the group of heroes reached the Arcade, where they were greeted by the sight of a tapir-like Digimon with brown and purple fur, blue eyes, and two tusks. It has a smoke in place of legs, making it somewhat resemble a genie. It had a gold ring on its left leg, and a gray metallic helmet with golden symbols etched into it, who had a pink lanyard with a purple floral pattern around its neck, with a phone attached to it.

"You all made it!" The small Digimon called to them as he floated over. "So, you're Tapirmon, huh? You're so cute!" Rose smiled, patting Tapirmon on the head, who smiled and nodded. "Yep. Crimson Shinobi sent me and the victim's sibling here to talk and help you all take down this next Dark Paladin." Hearing the phrase only confused the group. "Dark Paladin?" Slumbo muttered, as Casey's mind thought back to the previous battles against Clockmon and Yatagaramon, and how it was next to impossible for Zorch's small investigation squad to take down MetalPhantomon, even with Sistermon Ciel's help, alongside the mix Henry had made on his own that consisted of both Burnard and Meltus, and judging by the way Teslo noticed how she was lost in thought about it, Casey knew the leader of the Electroids was about to take the words she was about to say out of her mouth. "Hey, Tapirmon? When you zaid, 'Dark Paladin', did you mean the ztrongest Digimon that Reguluzmon and the Nixelz had corrupted with the I-cubit zhardz?" The yellow mixel asked.

"Of course, Young mixel." A voice came from the phone attached to the lanyard, as the screen of the phone lit up, revealing a new Digimon sitting within a blue, digital space within the phone. This second Digimon seemed to resemble a large, silver-colored demon with a multitude of horns, with red eyes, and a glass cockpit on its chest. Next to it, a somewhat large gourd (A/N- not the vegetable... Well, sort of. You see, in places like Japan during the Nara period, certain types of Liquor, such as sake, for example, were carried in hollowed gourds.) was held up by one of its hands. This was the other Digimon mentioned in Crimson Shinobi's note- Ginkakumon.

"Then that means you're Ginkakumon!" Casey smiled, before Henry spoke up. "Tapirmon mentioned that you're related to the victim. Does that mean your brother or sister's been dragged into a switch as well?" He asked, but the silver Digimon lowered his head. "... Not exactly." He said, sounding slightly sad. Flurr could tell something was wrong with him. "Then, what is it?" Ginkakumon sighed. "My big sister, Kinkakumon... Has been infected with an I-cubit shard, and she has been attacking people who've been doing online matches of Smash Bros. Ultimate. I've tried to find someone stronger than her to help me return her to normal, but to no avail..." The silver Digimon explained. Casey and Jellymon glanced over at Kiyo. "Looks like it's time for the Unhittable Champion to make a comeback, and save not only Kinkakumon's victims, but the entire Smash Bros. community!" The Mixel fangirl said with a smirk. Kiyo only sighed. "I know I said I'm not touching Smash ultimate ever again, but seeing as how one of the kids at School has already fallen victim to this whole situation, I'll do it." Kiyo said with a small smile, as Jellymon patted her human partner's head. "Way to take charge and not be timid for once, Darling!" She snickered. "Although, there is one issue left to resolve..." Angoramon began. 

"Kinkakumon's the type of Digimon who will go anywhere to see someone who can squarely defeat her in battle, right, Ginkakumon?" The rabbit Digimon asked, as the Silver Digimon nodded. "Therefore, there's a chance that my big sister will come out of the game to challenge you, too." Slumbo, upon hearing this, smirked. "Leave fighting Kinkakumon in the real world to me, Flurr, and Lunk, Big guy." The icy Mixel said, as Ginkakumon nodded. "Thank you, Chosen ones. I'm counting on you all to help me return my big sister to normal." Casey smiled happily. "Leave it to us, Ginkakumon! We'll save your sister! And I think we can go back to Sand Dune Park to prevent any damage happen to the city!" She said, planning everything out, as the group nodded. Deep down, Kiyo didn't want to do this. But with his role as Angelwood Middle School's Class Representative, he had to protect the staff and students who attended the school. And if he didn't help Ginkakumon save Kinkakumon from the influence of the I-cubit shard, then who would?

Later that evening, at Sand Dune Park, the group was all prepared, with a blue tent set up as a small base, food and drinks just in case, and even a portable charger, should Kiyo's switch need to charge. "Alright, if the rumors I heard on the forum are true, then once I reach a 20-win streak, Kinkakumon will appear." Kiyo told himself, as Casey beamed. "Yep. And if you win against her, we can save all the people who have fallen victim to Kinkakumon's scheme." Kiyo smiled upon hearing Casey's words, but then glanced down at his bandaged right arm while the opening credits of Smash Ultimate began to play. "I... I know that, but even for a Class representative, this is a lot of pressure to put on someone..." He muttered, as Flurr flew onto his shoulder. "Even then, you've said it yourself so many times before, Kiyoshiro; You're the Class Representative." The icy dragon Mixel told him, trying to get Kiyo past his nervous feelings. "Flurry-Blurry's right, Darling. And as Class representative, you have a duty to protect not only the staff, but also the students of Angelwood Middle school!" Jellymon added, as Kiyo nodded, and started the game. "You're both right- I'm the Class representative!" He said, as the class representative selected his character- Pichu. 

Seeing Kiyo's choice for his character, Zorch couldn't help but burst into laughter. "Seriously? You chose Pichu?!" Zorch snickered. "When Casey was teaching us to play Smash bros., Henry said that Pichu was the lightest character in the game, making him easy to K.O.!" Kiyo only smirked. "You underestimate me. I've been playing with Pichu in Smash ever since Melee!" Maya just looked nervous, as Teslo looked over to her while Kiyo fought someone else in the game. "Maya? Didn't you zay Pichu only ever appeared in Zmazh Melee before returning for Ultimate?" The yellow Mixel asked her, as the girl with Glasses only nodded. "Yeah, but be that as it may, Kii's really good with Pichu. Despite its electrical attacks dealing recoil damage, the more damage a character takes in the game, the stronger their attacks." 

Soon enough, Kiyo was winning battles in the game left and right. "Kiyo wasn't kidding- he's really good at this game!" Burnard chuckled, as Meltus nodded. "Yeah, and he's gotten up to 20 wins now!" Meltus smiled. And as soon as he had said that sentence, the arena quickly glitched out, and changed from Lumiose City to final destination, as Mewtwo slowly floated down to the ground. "Mighty Unhittable champion..." Mewtwo began. "... I challenge you to a duel to make my soul quiver, as our fists clash!" Kiyo just stared at his switch nervously. "Well, here goes nothing..." He said with a soft sigh, as Jellymon rested a tentacle on Kiyo's other shoulder. "Darling, I got this." She said with a bit of a cheeky smile, as she flew into the screen of the switch while snickering, causing Pichu to start glitching out a bit, before soon enough, Jellymon was standing where Pichu once was. "I'm California's Top Dog!" She said, as she did a pose. "Jellymon shocks the competition!"

"J-Jellymon, are you crazy?!" Flurr softly shouted, watching as Jellymon got ready to fight Mewtwo (Who the group all knew was Kinkakumon), while Jellymon turned to face the other Chosen ones from within the game. "Sure, this may not be part of the plan you and the Icemakers made, Flurry-Blurry, but I'm going to beat Kinkakumon to prove I'm the real mover and shaker!" She said cheerfully while her tentacles began to wrap around her fists, shaping themselves into what seemed to be boxing gloves, before turning to face Mewtwo. "Naturally, since when you win fights, you claim the losers as your spoils. Well, guess what, Mewtwo? If I win, you're gonna release all of the people who lost to you. But if I lose, you can have my Darling, and Tiny Thunder, too!" She said with a smile. Mewtwo only nodded. "So be it, Foolish Mollusk...!" The cloned Pokémon nodded, as the match started, as Jellymon floated towards the Psychic-type pocket monster, excited to finally fight.  

Mewtwo only smirked as Jellymon rocketed towards her, before teleporting around the arena, dodging and weaving her attacks. "H-Hey, stop moving around so much!" Jellymon said, still trying to land a hit on Mewtwo, who then proceeded to use Shadow ball, knocking Jellymon to the ground. Gammamon watched in worry, along with Teslo, Flurr, and Maya. "Is Jellymon losing...?" The little Triceratopsian Digimon asked. "Zeemz like it..." The leader of the Electroids nodded, as the draconic Frosticon leader just nervously gulped. "This is bad... Kinkakumon's just far too fast, and far too powerful..." Flurr mumbled, while Mewtwo just stared down at Jellymon. "My skills are nowhere near satisfied, but it seems to me that it's game over for you, childish fool." The clone of Mew said, about to use her Forward aerial attack. But right before she could, a smirk began to form on Kiyo's face. 

"Alright, Jellymon. Let's show her what we can really do." He said, as Jellymon jumped back from Mewtwo's incoming jab, and begun her counterattack against the psychic-type fighter. "SPIRAL KICK!" She shouted, doing a somersault in midair, kicking Mewtwo back, and continuing to kick her, dealing more and more damage to the Pokémon. "My fists... My body... My fighting spirit... Never before have I felt so honored to fight an opponent like you!" Mewtwo smirked, deflecting countless electrical attacks that Jellymon shot at her. "I've longed for a battle just like this! It's still hard to believe an opponent could make my soul quiver whilst fists collided still existed in this world!" Mewtwo then turned to face Kiyo and the other chosen ones from behind the screen. "Ready or not, Unhittable Champion and Chosen Ones..." Mewtwo began, as she floated towards the screen, and similar to how Jellymon was able to go into the switch, Mewtwo reached her out of it, but instead of a 3-fingered hand, it was a golden claw. Kiyo nervously threw his Switch out in front of the group in an attempt to give more distance between the 3rd Dark Paladin and him and his friends. Slowly but surely, not Mewtwo, but Kinkakumon, came out of the switch, revealing her true form, with an I-cubit shard lodged in her helmet.

"... Here I come!" Kinkakumon snarled once she escaped the confinement of the switch, pointing her club at Kiyo, whose eyes widened in both fear and shock. "Kii, I know that look. You better not-" Maya tried to say, but it was too late. "I-In.." Kiyo muttered. "... Integer Overflow..." Kiyo then fainted on the ground, as Maya just facepalmed. "And lo and behold, it happens at the worst possible time..." Henry sighed. "Integer overflow! Integer Overflow!" Gammamon repeated. Flurr just worriedly looked at Kiyo's unconscious body, worried. Henry was right, this WAS at the worst possible time for Kiyo to go through an Integer overflow! "The plan we made is just breaking apart at the seams..." Flurr said, watching as Kinkakumon slowly got closer to the group. "I expected the mighty Unhittable Champion, not a frightened child!" The golden ogre Digimon snarled, as she charged towards the chosen ones. "I demand satisfaction, on behalf of not only myself, but also Lord Regulusmon himself!" She then roared, about to attack Kiyo with her club in the same spot where he had fainted, but before she could even land a single hit, the Electroids maxed with help from Maya, and the electrokinetic max then wrapped its tail around the arm, stopping her from lowering her club and hitting Kiyo or any of the others, before Maya saw a new word flowing into her mind.

"E.M.P. BURST!" She commanded the yellow max, as the electrical lion began to shock itself with pulses of electromagnetic energy, dealing a few bits of damage to Kinkakumon. However, despite the pain from being electrocuted, She managed to slam the Electroids Max into the ground, forcing the Max to split apart back into Teslo, Zaptor, and Volectro. "Oh no... Guys!" Maya ran over to the yellow Mixels. "We're... We're fine, Maya... Don't worry about uz..." Teslo tried to reassure her, his tail weakly moving around, as Kinkakumon glared down at Jellymon and the unconscious Kiyo. "You were only strong because of the game. How pathetic." She growled. At this point, Flurr had enough of it.

"You're wrong, Kinkakumon!" The Blue dragon Mixel said as he flew in front of Kinkakumon, who tried to attack him, but he flew around each of her attacks, avoiding them with ease. "Kiyo and Jellymon weren't strong because Smash Bros. was a game! They were strong because they were working together, like real partners!" Jellymon heard every word that Flurr said, and as she noticed the faint, icy blue glow emanating from Kiyo's Pendit while the leader of the Frosticons gave his small speech, Jellymon knew exactly what she had to do if they were going to bring Kinkakumon back to her senses- She had to make Kiyo regain his consciousness. Slowly but surely, she reached one of her tentacles out towards Kiyo's head to try and shock him awake with it, but as Kinkakumon tried to step on her tentacle, attempting to stop the Mollusk Digimon from executing her plan, Slumbo and Lunk got in the way, stopping Kinkakumon from crushing Jellymon's tentacle underneath her foot. "Cryo-Claws! Snowy-Spike!" She smiled amidst the tears of fright she was shedding, as Slumbo looked back at her. "Go ahead and wake Kiyo up, Jellymon." He said, as Lunk slowly nodded. "Yeah. We've got you covered." Jellymon smiled amidst the tears she was shedding, and nodded, as she finally rested her tentacle on Kiyo's cheek.

"WE ALL NEED YOU RIGHT NOW, DARLING! SO, WAKE UP, KIYOSHIRO SHIMA!" Jellymon shouted with tears flowing from her eyes, as the electricity that shocked Kiyo forced him to sit up, and slowly get up on his feet, as he looked up at Jellymon and his Mixel partners. "Heh... Welcome back, Darling." Jellymon said as she floated over, embracing Kiyo in a hug, as Flurr, Slumbo, and Lunk stood in front of the duo. "What do you think, Kiyo?" Flurr said, looking back at him, as snow began to fall from the sky. "Ready for a Limit Break?" Kiyo only smiled. "I think it's more fitting to say I'm ready to cause a Limit Break at Max Level, Flurr... Cause I'm done being afraid!" He shouted, as his D-Vigor's interface lit up with blue light, while the glass part of his pendit began to light up with both light and dark blue light. The snow that was falling from the sky began to coat the bodies of the 3 Frosticons, as the soft snow became blocks of Ice that the wind pushed each one of them together in an icy blizzard, forming what seemed to be a bigger version of Slumbo. Soon enough, the ice began to crack apart, revealing a brand-new tribal Max, that in fact, DID resemble Slumbo to an extent, but not quite. The Max's head resembled Slumbo's body (if it were turned upside down, that is) with his eyes on it. Its neck seemed to be of two different shades of blue- the very same shades of blue that were on Slumbo's body. Its bottom jaw had two buck teeth, and it also had some ice on the side of its jaw. His arms are similar to Slumbo, save for the new blue spikes that decorated them. It had Flurr's toes, as well as Lunk's ice armor. Finally, the new Max also had a tail similar to Flurr's own tail, and it also had Slumbo's icy claws.

The moment after the Frosticons Max was formed, Jellymon instantly digivolved into Tesla Jellymon. Gammamon and the Infernites went to try and join their battle, but Tesla Jellymon just held her arm out, blocking them from joining in. "Hey, Gamms? You, Flame-Brain, Pyro-Paws, Zippo, Perky-Pyro, Dino-Boy, and Shrimp-Wimp might wanna just stand back." She told the 7 of them with a small smirk. "We totally got this. Besides, I bet you'll all get an epic chance like this at one point." Flain wanted to say they had a moment like this when they first maxed to fight Mummymon alongside Betel Gammamon, but he decided not to say a word, since this was Kiyo's big moment to share with her and the Frosticons max. Kinkakumon only stared at the Icy max. "So, this is the power that draws forth from a Chosen One having an Awakening? This just makes things all the more interesting!" Kinkakumon smirked, as she swung her club around, creating bursts of electricity that rocketed towards Tesla Jellymon and Frosticons Max, but Frosticons Max managed to tank the hits, while Tesla Jellymon swiftly avoided each and every bit of lightning, but not before landing in the sand. "Aw, man, you made me get my clothes all sandy! What's your problem?!" Tesla Jellymon grumbled while dusting herself off to get the sand off, before getting back up on her feet. "Either way, I'm ticked off now!" Upon hearing this, Kinkakumon growled. "How dare you insult our Battle!" She yelled, as she charged at the icy max and champion-level Digimon. 

Frosticons Max just looked over to Tesla Jellymon. "I think her getting angry like that's kinda lame." It told the champion-level mollusk Digimon in Flurr's voice, as Tesla Jellymon nodded. "Oh, it's more than lame, Ice-Jaws. It's Mega lame!" She agreed, as Kinkakumon charged towards the duo, about to hit them with her club, before Frosticons max grabbed it, froze it with its ice breath, and Tesla Jellymon punched the frozen club, breaking it to pieces. "Alright, now to remove the I-cubit shard from her helmet!" Tesla Jellymon said with a smile. Kiyo knew that if either the Frosticons Max or Tesla Jellymon touched the shard, one of them would end up Nixed, so they had to take an indirect approach to dislodging it. That's when Kiyo saw a word flow into his mind.

"SNOW ESCAPE!" Kiyo shouted, as Frosticons Max created a giant Snowball, and rolled it towards Kinkakumon, trapping her within it, sending it rolling down towards the beach. "All right, Darling- Let's end this!" Tesla Jellymon cheered excitedly as she flew towards the beach, and stood in front of the incoming snowball, causing Kiyo to see a new word in his mind.

"FIZZLE FIST!" He then commanded, as Tesla Jellymon then performed an electrokinetic-infused Palm strike on the giant Snowball with her left hand when it was inches in front of her, and she then did another one with her right hand on the back of Kinkakumon's head, the power of the strike not only forcing the I-cubit Shard out of her helmet, but the electrical shock also destroyed the shard. "Alright, we did it!" Kiyo cheered, as Frosticons Max split apart back into Flurr, Slumbo, and Lunk, who he hugged happily, while tesla Jellymon looked at Kinkakumon with a cheeky smile as Ginkakumon arrived with Tapirmon during the time the victims trapped in their switches were released, and she said one thing, and one thing only-

Back at Casey and Henry's house, the group was talking with Kinkakumon and Ginkakumon, who were within the phone Tapirmon had brought. "Thanks for rescuing my big Sister, Chosen Ones." Ginkakumon said with a smile, as Kinkakumon nodded. "Yeah, I'll admit- You do deserve some praise for freeing me from the influence of Regulusmon and the Nixels..." Kinkakumon agreed begrudgingly, before pointing at Kiyo, Flurr, and Jellymon. "But I don't want the 3 of you to get the wrong idea- Nixed due to the I-cubit shard or not, my interests solely focus on having battles." She said, before cracking a small smile. "Besides, I'm looking forward to a rematch." Jellymon smiled happily in response to this. "Oh, heck yeah! Me, Darling, and the Icemakers are more than happy to take you on anytime, anywhere!" hearing her words, Kiyo turned to face his Digimon partner. "H-Hold on, don't put words in our mouths...!" Kiyo stuttered a bit, as Slumbo chuckled in response. "I thought Kiyo said he was done being afraid before the Frosticons Maxed..." Flain muttered, but Maya sighed. "I guess that's only because he was still in the 'limit break' phase, as Jellymon calls it. I guess he's gone back to being timid ol' Kii. But no matter what Kii goes through, I think he's still gonna grow." She admitted, as Casey nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and if there's one thing I figured out about Awakenings on my own with help from the Infernites, is that they more or less signify a Chosen One's growth- Or rather, their growth into who their true self is. Maybe Kiyo's starting to find who he's really meant to be, bit by bit..." She guessed, as she, Maya, and the others began making their way to Maya and Kiyo's house for the smash tournament. Angoramon watched as everyone else moved on in front of him, rushing to get to the tournament, while looking at the graceful, falling snowflakes. "When they engaged in fisticuffs, there were sounds of both Snow falling and Jellyfish's power fully blooming. The battle-hungry ogre got nothing." He said, as he moved on, unaware of the fact that the group was being monitored by Aleena.

"Even Kinkakumon failed me..." She muttered. This was the first time that an awakening had occurred because of one of her plans to draw forth Gammamon's power as the descendant of the Devourer of Space. "With Sirenmon, Yatagaramon, Metal Phantomon, and Clockmon freed, that leaves me down to the remaining two... But I think I'll save that one for last... Let's see how they'll deal with an invasive type of Digimon..." She then smiled evilly, watching as other kids gathered at Maya and Kiyo's house for the big Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament. The last 5 attempts didn't succeed, but she knew very well that one of these last attempts would draw forth Gammamon's true power... One way, or another, The Devourer's child WOULD Become like his patriarch...
