Seven- It Gets Worse
Evan
"Where the hell do you think they'd hide?"
"Somewhere we can't find them." Nogla answered.
"No shit, smart one." Tyler snapped.
"But, a location. Maybe?" Brock suggested.
"So where the hell do you think a whole institute full of people would hide?" I tapped my chin.
"A mountain?" Terrorizer suggested.
"Mini, since you have your computer up, can you do some searching?" I asked.
He nodded over call and started typing. "Whata need?"
"Mountain ranges in North America."
Jonathan
My body ached as we continued running on the treadmills, wires connected to almost every part of our bodies.
I looked up and down the rows of people, every single one of them different.
All of them, different genders, races, and body types.
I continued running, the sweat dripping off my face, I fucking hated it.
The music buzzing through my ears was interrupted. I heard a clash and a smash. Everyone stopped and looked around, everyone spotting the man that fell off his treadmill, crying. I walked off mine and went over to the poor guy. I went to give him a hand, only to be pulled away. The man snapped and looked up at me, and it was terrible. His eyes were like a raccoons, and his actual eyeballs a deep red. He looked very thin, but there was something growing off his chest.
"What is that?" I mumbled out loud, but of course received no answer.
"That's the disease we supposedly have." A girl near me answered. She had the brightest blonde locks, and had light blue eyes, turning gray. She also had black glasses on, her blue eyes bigger through the frame.
The man screeched and was nibbling on himself. I took a step back, stepping out of the guard's arms. They lifted up his shirt to reveal a purple bump growing on the man. He started sobbing as they lifted him up, and drug him away.
"Everyone back to their rooms!" One guard shouted.
I started walking, only to bump into that girl again. "By the way, I'm Carlee." She held out her hand. "I'm Jonathan." I replied, taking her hand.
"So, I thought this disease was mental, not physical."
"I guess it gets worse. I mean I've heard rumors about it, but I've never really seen it. So that was a first."
"Man..."
"So, got any family back home?"
"I mean, I've got friends I consider family."
"Oh."
"Yeah, there is this one I for some reason... deeply miss. And it's killing me that I can't tell him how I feel."
"Ah, I've been there."
"It's terrible. Isn't it?"
"Yeah, but once you tell them... you'll be surprised by their reaction."
"But I don't even think he's gay." I lightly chuckled at myself, shaking my head.
"So where are you from?"
"North Carolina. You?"
"Iowa."
"Where the hell are we now?"
"No body knows..."
Craig
"Jesus fuck. Are you sure they're in America?" I asked, looking at the panicked Vanoss on the screen.
"Yeah, why?"
"Because there is only like three main mountain ranges."
"Why don't we try the rocky mountains? I mean they're pretty big, so they might hide in there."
"Evan, are you sure?"
"Yes Craig. We'll all go."
"Well how about we set up base first, then book a flight."
"I don't know about a flight boys." Tyler stopped us.
"Oh no..." Evan grumbled.
"They're shutting down any major transportation."
"Damn... we are turning into a zombie nation." Marcel stated.
"Now we just need zombies." Brian carelessly said.
Everyone turned to Evan's screen, "This just in,"
"Oh shit."
"Fuck."
"Scientists report a new observation on one of the Mixed."
"They're humans." Evan mumbled.
"One of them have seemed to have a growing purple thing on their chest, around their heart, and say that it is growing to it's brain. Is this the physical version of the disease? Is this an actual zombie? This... this is the start of a new, and dangerous world."
"God damnit."
