Jotaro x reader

A/n This one is gonna HURT be warned. But also like really short. And I'm crying while writing it.

We finally landed back in Japan, I was excited to see my mom and (Y/n) again. I needed to apologize. I had been so cold to her. I wanted to hold her again.

"Jojo, your spacing out," Polnareff nudged me.

I just hummed back, looking to the window. Jiji started to talk again, "Oh i'm so excited to see my daughter again! And what was her name Jotaro? Your little girlfriends name?" He smiled in the review mirror.

I huffed back, "She was never my girlfriend jiji and it was (Y/n), how could you forget? She was always at our house."

He laughed, "Well if she wasn't your girlfriend by now, I'm sure you'll be soon!"

I could only roll my eyes, "A lady? You Jotaro? I'm surprised." Polnareff laughed, "You'll have to show me her."

"Fat chance, Polnareff," I shook my head.

"Oh ho ho? Protective are we?" He laughed slyly.

"Shut up or you'll be next," I growled. I looked out the window, I noticed a poster flutter in the window. Something in big red words blocked out on it. I squinted to get a better look but we were moving to fast. I couldn't get a good look. We slowly pulled into our house. My mom stood in the doorway waving. Jiji jumped out the car running to her. We all slowly got out. All was going well. It was nice to be home. Nice to feel safe.

"Jotaro, have you seen (Y/n) lately?" My head snapped to my mom.

"No? Why?" I asked.

"Well, she's been missing for about a month now. I was waiting to see if she was with you," My mom looked off.

The poster, It was a missing persons poster. It was (Y/n)'s missing poster. It all hit me at once. It all seemed so surreal. I was gonna come home, tell her everything. My hands started to shake. I got up, heading to my room. I couldn't hear anything. The night air couldn't pierce into me. I slammed my door shut behind me. I only looked to the ceiling. Anything to bring me comfort; and finding nothing.

I couldn't keep still. I got up, walking to wherever my feet could take me. I ended up outside her house. I crouched lifting up the mat, getting the spare key. I put the key into the lock, drawing a deep breath and I turned the key. I gently pushed open the door. The lights were all off. I flipped the switch. A thick layer of dust coated everything. I watched as the drapes fluttered in the wind of the open window. The moon cast a blue light on everything. I gently closed the window. I walked up the stairs, my hand leaning on the railing. There was nothing. No sign of disturbance. No sign of an abduction.

She left willingly.

But to where?

-------------------------------------

I jumped back, "Dirk! Watch out!" He looked back at me, giving me a thumbs up.

"Down with the Condesce!" He cheered. This war was wearing on me more and more each day. This would work. This had to work. For the sake of our universe and for the millions of lifeforms that lived within it.

"Charge!" I screamed. If we could just get here, it would mean everything. Dried blood stuck to my skin.

After the battle, Her side had retreated. Leaving us to drink in celebration. I climbed atop of a nearby table, "Men and Women, Troll and human! We fight for freedom! This is truly our turning point! We are sure to win! This drink is for all of our brothers we've lost along the way! Know they didn't die for nothing. They fought for our freedom so we'll fight for theirs!" All the people cheered. I sat back down with my friends.

"(Y/n) how are you so good at these speeches?" Rose asked.

"Must be that i'm a lord of blood," I laughed watching the moon sparkle in my glass.

----------------------------------

I tried to find some normality. Something constant. Usually it would have been (Y/n) but, shes not here. I walked to school.

"I'm so glad your back!"

"So handsome!"

"So strong!"

"Jojo look over to me!"

I rolled my eyes, pulling my hat down further. That's one jumped on me, I immediately flung her off, "Can't you keep your filthy hands off me?!" They only screamed more. "Fuck it, I'm skipping.".The day just seemed endless. (Y/n) wasn't even mentioned. Girls were whispering everywhere in every class, their eyes never seemed to stop watching. I couldn't wait to get out of this hell hole. I glanced towards the window where (Y/n) used to sit. She always had her eyes on the window and head in the clouds. I huffed at the thought of her missing every lecture, almost panicked at the loss of focus.

From then on it was living from sunrise to sunset. I just kept sending more and more time at her house. My loneliness began to swallow me whole. The bed that once smelt like her just seemed so cold.

I walked home again, "Jotaro!" I looked to the caller. It was just my mom.

"Hey mom," I pushed past her to my room.

"Jotaro, honey," Watching her owns sons heart break hurt more than anything, "Why don't you stay for dinner? Just this once?"

I looked back to her, her eyes seemed to crackle with worry, It took me a moment to respond, "Of course mom, let me go put down my books."

-----------------------------------

I held onto Johns body, "Hey John," I shook him, "John, don't die on me now. We need you, your just as much of a leader as me." I shook him again. Red stained his blue clothes.

"(Y/n), make sure we win this if I don't come back okay?" John gripped my hand.

"But, of course, make sure you come back alright?" I begged him.

"I'll come back, just because you asked so nicely," He smiled, letting his head fall to the side, limp. I set him down lightly in the bed. I headed out of the tent.

Stopping by the side. Jane came up to me, opening her mouth, I cut her off, "Now we wait. We play the waiting game."

She paused, leaning up against me. I slowly wrapped my arms around her, she started to cry. "I fucking hate fighting (Y/n)."

I gently stroked her head, "It's gonna be over soon, were all gonna be okay."

"Do you know what for sure?" She took a step back, rubbing her eyes.

"I may be no seer but, if anyone dies, I'll make sure its me not them. You can bet my bottom dollar Jane. We'll see this war to the end, we've killed her once, We'll do it again." I couldn't help but smile at the hopeful thought.

The faint blue glow of revival came from the tent, John lived another day.

----------------------------------------

I bolted awake, another nightmare. The thought of her being tortured stung. She could be a million places, a low chance we'd ever find her. It had been six months. I felt like I was drowning. I should have said it sooner. I should have loved her better. She had always been there for me and what did I ever do for her? I didn't even desvere her.

I hope she found someone that loved her.

--------------------------------------------

I had her pinned this was it. Death, blood, war it would all be over. I swung my axe, "This is for the Univerese," A cut across her stomach.

Another swing at her leg causing her fushia blood to spill, "This for your people," a swipe at her other leg, "This for my people," she toppled over, I limped over to her bloodied body, "But this one," I raised the axe over her neck, "This is for me." I brought the axe down. Her head came off clean. The fuchsia blood spilling out.

Roxy ran to my side, "(Y/n)!"

I turned to face her, collapsing, "Oh Roxy, can I ask you for one more favor?"

She held me, "Oh anything (Y/n)."

"Can you take me to that planet in sector 23, the earth there, I want to say goodbye to someone," I paused a tear rolling down my face, "I think this might be it for me."

"Don't say that (Y/n) but, of course, what's the address?" Roxy said as she picked me up.

——————————————

It had been a year sense anyone's seen her. This was all my fault. I knew the Joestar curse  yet I left it. Then there was a knock. I looked to my mother, she looked back to me, just as confused. I then looked to Jiji, who just shrugged. I stood up and walked to the door. I open it to revel a women in blue and bloodied body in her hands.

The body turned to look at me; it was (y/n). A new scar on her face, a blood drip over her left eye. A weak smile on her face, "Hello Jotaro." I shakily took her body. "Roxy, you can leave now, you know I don't like people watching me when I die."

The lady left, "(Y/n)?" I collapsed to my knees.

She reached up a hand to my face, "Wow Jotaro I never noticed how your eyes catch the moon before. How stunning." Tears streamed down her own face, "You get to see a dying god, what a speciality."

"No no no, please tell me this all just a Dream," my body rocked.

"Oh Jotaro this is it, don't be sad when I leave. Can you move on after my death? Be happy for me okay?" (Y/n) traced my jaw line, smearing blood onto my skin.

I looked her in the eyes, "Is it terrifying?"

"No, I don't think so," she pressed her head into my chest, "it's the way it is you know?" She traced circles onto my chest, "Everything must come to an end," she tapped a slow finger onto my heart, "The drip finally stops."

I give her one last smile, "See you on the other side."

"I love you," (Y/n) whispers into my ear before going limp. Everything stops, all I can do is scream. I clutch her body closer; praying this was all just some terrible nightmare, knowing it wasn't. Birds flew out from nearby trees.

——————————————

I woke up, whipping a tear from my eyes. I get up out of bed, quietly stepping up and out of the mattress. I stick my head out the door, looking down the hall. Living with 3 older selfs and your future daughter is strange but what's normal anymore. The second youngest me walks out of his room. I gently reach out and tap on his shoulder. I look up to him meekly, "Can we talk, privately for a moment?"

He looks down at me, following me in, "Of course youngest me, what's going on?"

We both sit on the edge of my bed, I lean over putting my head in my hands, letting it all finally out, "I had that dream again, do you think we'll ever see her again?" I tilt my head to look at him.

Slowly he puts a hand on my back, rubbing it. There was quietness in the room before he lets out a smile, "Oh I hope so." I lean into him, he wraps an arm around me, leaning his head on mine.

The smell of breakfast being the only thing to break us apart. Which I slip my hat on, sliding it all the way down.

Jolyne looks over to me, "Already moody?"

I only return a glare, the second youngest me just turns her around. "Jolyne today's not the best for jokes."

I quickly eat and return to my room, not wanting to deal with their antics and hustle and bustle of this stupid town.

———————————————-

It was another night. The warm summer air caused the sea spray to hit on me. I paused just to look up at the stars; wondering what could be out there.

Then a voice snapped me out of my sleepily haze, "Jotaro."

It was (y/n). She stood there adored in golden jewelry and a crown. She looked like an angel.

"(Y/n)!" My body lurched forward. My arms always sat the most comfortable around her hips. I clutched her, never wanting to let go. "It's so nice to see you again!"

"Oh but it won't be for long," she said dragging her fingers through my hair slowly.

I pressed my check to hers, letting our tears mix, "What do you mean?"

(Y/n) pulled my face inches from hers and stared into my eyes, "I've got to reset everything, this means leaving you behind."

"Why?" Such a simple sounding question out of context now meant everything.

"If I can, I will kept you out of harms way. This means I will have never existed to you." She smiles, tears now few and far between.

"From what harm, I've over come any obstacle, I'm strong-" I get cut off by her.

"Oh dear, it's nothing you could prepare yourself for. The gods are the best fighters around. They'll do anything to erase me. Jotaro my friends have changed in the what, twenty, thirty years since I've known them." She sat down on the nearby log. "I am the last scrap of hope left. I'm going to override their mistakes."

I sit down next to her, intertwining my hand with hers, "What kind of mistakes?"

She tears her eyes away from the ocean, I see deep regret swirl and swim in her eyes. "Oh terrible mistakes, suppressed freedom, forced relationships, abused, forgotten children they don't seem to care for." She yanks on my hands in desperation, "Jotaro they are ghosts of their former selves, I am terrified of them."

"Well do we have time for now?" I ask.

"Can I watch one final sunrise with you?" She asks smiling again. I take in her dipoles, her shinny (e/c) eyes and the creases on her face.

"Of course we can my love." It takes hours but we sit there and wait; trying to enjoy each other's lonely company one last time.

The sky starts to turn an orange, I turn to her, "This is it isn't it?"

She keeps her eyes on the skyline, "Yes, yes it is."

I turn her face to mine, "See you on the other side."

She stands up, smiling while a tear runs down her cheek, "Oh Jotaro," she uncurls my fist, placing something inside before turning her back, "There is no other side," she stops at the waters edge, her profile shadowed by the oranges the cover the morning sky, "This is it." And with that she disappears into the sea. I takes me a moment before I head home, throwing my jacket over my shoulder and lighting a cigarette.

I make it back to the house, it just now waking up. Oldest me stands in the kitchen, "Oh, good morning youngest me, out for a walk this early in the morning?"

I shrug, "Yeah, is Jolyne up?"

"Yeah, I think she's just getting dressed, why?" He nods.

I head up to her room, I knock. "Hey Jolyne?"

"Yeah give me a second," she sighs, peaking her head out, "what is it?"

I roll the necklace chain over my scarred knuckles, "Can I talk with you alone for a minute?" She opens her door more, looking confused. I sit on her bed, patting by my side, "Come sit."

"Okay what is it, your acting really weird. Are you sick or something because I'm not gonna take care of you," she crosses her arms.

"That's not what's going on. Did any of me ever tell you about (Y/n) (L/n)?" I question.

"No, who are they?" Her arms now rest by her side.

"It was a women, met her before I went to Egypt. A women I fell hopelessly for." Jolyne's eyes went wide. "I fell in love with her long before I met your mother. She was a strong women anyone could sit down and listen to for hours. She had this way of speaking that she had perfected." I paused, both in my speech and playing with the necklace, "She died in my arms after leading a war for a year, the war was won but her life as the cost." I look to Jolyne's eyes for a reaction, sorrow seemed to leak from her eyes. "She visited me, alive this morning. It's hard for gods to stay dead you know." I smiled. "She said she's going to rewrite parts of her timeline, said she gonna have to terminate our love story, so here," I placed the necklace in her hands, "So maybe you'll remember her instead, Because I won't, just don't show it to the other Jotaros for a while, not till we forget her."

Jolyne look at the necklace in her hands pausing until she hugged me, "Thank you, Thank you for being honest with me."

I let a couple tears slip, "Its hard saying goodbye to you're soulmate."

————————————————

I wake up in a lush green place, a bed in the middle. I clutch the necklace, preparing for anything. Then a women appears on the bed from no where.

"Who are you! Did you bring me here?!" I stand in a defensive position, ready to attack.

"So he gave the necklace to you?" I let go of the necklace, relaxing.

"Your (Y/n) (L/n)?" I ask back.

She removes her hood, I notice the same symbol on her face that was the same as the charm. "Yes I am, welcome to my planet, don't worry your dreaming and your safe."

"Should I bow?" I ask.

"Oh no, I don't do that, Im just as human as you are." She smiles closing her eyes. She opens them, patting the spot next to her, "Do you have any questions? And be carful, this bed is made of stone."

I push my way through some of the brush, "Yeah I do actually."
