Aziraphale x reader

Requested by: @JiffinyHDMysten also sorry it took so long and happy bday!

I had always been a rough n tough girl. Growing up in seattle wasn't easy. Especially when your house gets burned down and your the only one to survive. I got up out of my bed, heading to the bathroom and taking a look at the old burn marks. Then looked myself in the eyes, one glowing white and the other (e/c). I gave a small smirk. A ghost appeared behind me.

"Good morning Sal," I greeted.

"Good morning Detective," He taunted.

"Watch it, remembered whose body your sharing," I smirked.

"Yeah yeah," He waved me off. His full name is Salvador Dearil. He was a man who died in the southeast tip of Arizona. A major landline area. After getting murdered his ghost seeked vengeance. After a series of him possing College kids then making come back like dead which actually he had made a trade with them. He said he could get rid of all their worries and revive them if he could use their body. All these kids agreed. Then I was put on the case.  I set off and fought with him, overcoming my own trama at the same time. Now just kinda share a body. Honestly I don't know how but we make it work.

This also means I now have direct connects with the afterlife. I've spoken with demons but never angels. This also means I'm pretty well known through the supernatural world. I brushed my hand through my hair. "Time for work," I hummed.

"Heck yeah! Whats the case today doc?" Sal asked.

"I have no idea, bosses orders." I shrugged stripping out of my PJ's. I turned on the shower and hopped in, The warm water against my skin. After my shower I got dressed into a white sweatshirt, a warm brown trench coat, a darker brown wide legged pants and white sneakers, lastly my signature aviator glasses to cover up my eyes. I made a cup of tea and then grabbed my over the shoulder satchel bag and headed out of the apartment. I waved goodbye to the Manager of the place, a tiny old lady by the name of Meredith.

I hopped on the bus heading to work, which was 8 minutes late, it didn't matter as I was 6:30 am and I would be one of the first in the office, just after my boss who lived next to the office. The bus ride was quiet, no one else on the bus at this hour. I walked into the building and headed up to the 5th floor where I worked. The elevator here was quick. The ding and the door opened, I headed to my desk to set my bag down. That's when I remembered, I no longer had a cubical as I now had my own little room. I smiled, heading there instead. I unlocked the door and turned the light on. I set my bag down on my chair grabbing out my computer. I quickly logged in and checked my email. I hummed at the notification of a new case. I opened up the email. The case was set in England. I raised an eyebrow.

"Why the hell am I taking care of a case that's in England?" I asked no one in particular as I glanced over the case something about theft of some jewels or something like that.

My office door swung open and In walked my boss, "Pack your bags, your heading to London Detective (L/n)."

I turned to Celina, "Why me? Don't they have their own people over there?"

She rested against my door frame, "They said their tough outta luck and they feel the case is gonna go cold soon."

"Yikes, It should be easy, what time does the plane leave?" I asked.

"Tomorrow morning, take the day off and pack," She waved me off.

"You coulda told me that before I came in," I rolled my eyes.

"Maybe check your email before you come in," She replied matter of factly.

"Yeah yeah," I said gathering up my stuff, picking back up my bag. I headed out the front door, passing by co-workers, giving them a slight wave. I hop back on the bus and head home.

---------------------------------

I sat at the Ritz with Crowley, "Oh! Did you hear about those jewels getting stolen?" I ask him.

"Uh, yeah I did," Crowley nervously rubbed the back of his neck.

"Crowley did you?" I eye him suspiciously.

"No! What kind of demon do you take me for?" He smirks.

"A slick demon," I quip back.

"Oh ha ha but, on a further notice, I heard  there hiring a detective from abroad," He notes.

"Oh really?" I ask, now my interest has been piqued.

"Yeah Names like uhh, (Y/n)? I think?" He tapped his chin.

"That's a pretty name, what is it a she?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah some like chick whose like super good at it, can revive like old dead cold cases," He rested back.

"Now I want to meet her, see what goes on in her mind," I unfocused, day dreaming.

"She's like the modern day Sherlock Holmes, expect not british," He laughed.

I was no longer listening by now, too busy daydreaming. What did she look like? What was her personality like? Why did she become a detective? I wanted to ask her so many questions.

----------------------------------

I landed in London, extreley jet lagged. I waved down a taxi and climbed in. "Where you going to miss?"  The taxi driver asked.

"Uhhhh The Strand place hotel on," I quickly checked my phone, "On Strand street?"

"Oh yeah no problem," He laughed.

I leaned back into the car seat. I sigh and sit back up. I ruffled into my work bag, pulling out the case file. Occasionally having to lick a finger tip as I flipped through the pages. Blah blah, no fingerprints, blah blah. After about an hour we arrived at the hotel, I paid and left. I walked into the hotel and checked in. Heading up to my room on the elevator, I had a quick conversation with another person and continued on. I got to my room and collapsed, all the while knowing I will need to know what's around me for work tomorrow. I pushed up off the bed. Opting to take a shower before I head out.

I finally headed out, it was about dinner time. I looked around for a restaurant, deciding on a small cafe for dinner. I walked in, the door chimed. The smell of fresh coffee hitting my nose. I look around, no open seats, oh wait and open booth.

There's a man sitting there, "Oh, ah," I rub the back of my neck.

He smiles warmly, "You can sit here with me if you don't mind!" His blonde hair was curly, the coat outdated by years, but shown no wear or tear.

I sit down, "A nice coat you got there, how old is it? Those aren't usually made any more, or was it a custom tailor?"

He gave out a light laugh, seem to be slightly on edge, "Observant are we? Can't I get your name first?"

Right, social stuff, For a decetive you can't talk great outside of it. I laughed lightly back, "Uh sorry, work habits. I'm (Y/n) (L/n), nice to meet you." I reached out my hand.

"Oh I'm Aziraphale!" He shakes my hand, no last name...

"No last name?" I ask.

"No its just Fell, nothing much really." He said.

"Its nice, it seems to fit you," I smile.

"Where are you from if you don't mind me asking, I can't quite place your accent..." It was his turn to ask questions.

"Oh i'm from (C/n) but, I Usually live in seattle moved here for work for a week or two." I add.

He rested his head in his hands, "Whats your job?"

"Detective." I nod.

"Oh! Are you the one working on the case of the missing Jewels?" He asks obviously excited to hear more on the case.

"That's right I am," I smile, he seems genuinely interested, thats nice.

That's when a waitress come to the table, "What can I get you two today?"

"Oh um, I haven't looked at the menu," I realize.

"Do you like crepes?" Aziraphale asks.

"I mean for dinner I wouldn't mind," I laugh.

"Then we'll take two of my regular sweetie," He warmly smiles at the waitress while holding up two fingres.

She gives him a light smile, nods and walks off saying, "Right away Mr Fell!"

"Wow, you must come here often!" I laugh.

"I do! I run the bookshop down the street!" He laughs.

"Oh a bookshop?" I ask, "Maybe I'll have to stop by!"

"My pleasure!" He comments. The rest of the dinner went smoothly, the food was good. I headed back for the night.

------------------------------------

I hummed as I walked back to the bookstore. I push through the doors. I head to the back, I call up Crowley. "Crowley! Dear! I have so much to talk with you about! I met the detective in the cafe just now! What a lovely young lady!"

"Oh do you angel?" He smirked.

"Oh yes! Shes such a Bellibone!" I chipped.

"Your fawning Azria," Crowley pointed out, my face immediately went hot.

"O-oh dear, I am." I tapped my foot.

Crowley laughed in mockery, "Your funny Azria! Stay safe!"

"G-goodbye!" I quickly hang up. I reach up to my face, its red hot. Oh dear, I really am falling in love.

----------------------------------

It had been a week and a half, the end of the case drawing ever closer. So I think this might be the last time I see the jolly man, Aziraphale. I don't want to leave him in all honesty. I don't know what really is this feeling when I see him. It's nice and comforting but, something like that I don't know.

I knocked on the door, "Aziraphale! I've come to say goodbye!" I try to turn the handle, the handle wont turn. It's always unlocked. This isn't normal. "Aziraphale?" I call out again, no answer. "Aziraphale, your starting to worry me!" Still. No. Answer. "Sal?"

"Your panicking detective," He appears.

"I need you to go inside and tell me what's going on," I demand. My heart rate jumping. Adrenaline pumping through my veins.

"What ifs hes just-" Sal tries to reason.

"He leaves notes when he leaves, you and I both now that now in!" I push him through the closed doors. A pause, the door unlocks. I immetidly push my way through. White light, this really isn't. I sigh. Everything now clicks.

"Angels, put Aziraphale down," Still slightly unable to see. The room froze.

"And who are you?" A male voice calls.

------------------------------

I look too (Y/n), she slips off her aviator glasses, a scar running across her left eye. They clack against the table. There is a strange serenity in her as she takes a deep breathe. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

"(Y/n) you can leave," I squeak, still being strangled by the other angels, Michael and Gabriel.

She turns around, the click of the door locking surprises all of us, "Aziraphale, and others, you don't know entirely who your talking to." She still had her eyes closed, "You guys remember that huge case of possienion that occured that, that one detective solved?" Her right eye cracked open, a darkly lit (Y/n), a smirk painfully ovisously on her face. "Your talking to her."

Gabriel growled and lept for her, She caught his fist, "ah ah ah! Careful now, he's been looking for a bite."

"No one cares, I'll make you collapse." Gabriel snapped his fingres, nothing happened.

"Ah well this is your fault," (Y/n) Shrugged. She opened her other eye, milk white and shining. Shared body possession.

A ghost popped out, a laughter, "Angels! How sweet of a meal!"

"Relax," She rolls her eyes. "Aziraphale, how badly are you hurt?"

"Not bad sweetheart, your okay, its okay." I am finally letown, I walk over to her.

She grabs my wrist, "No, no your not. I can tell when you will, I am a detective still." She turns to the other archangels, "Leave, now."

All in all their startled and surprising leave, I felt something wash over her, Regret, "I'm sorry Aziraphale... If, if i startled you."

"Dear," I reach up a hand to her face, tracing the burn marks. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I... I thought you weren't supernatural. So what really are you I get the who angel thing but like do you have a rank?" She asks.

"Yeah, I'm actually the guardian of the eastern gate of Eden and a principality." I sheepishly admit.

"Woah a principality, never thought i'd been in a presence of someone so high!" She laughs.

"You know (Y/n).... I'm interested in you, would you like to stay the night?" She seems to be processing something, a hand on her chin. Then, a light bulb.

"Oh, OH. That's what these feelings are!" She turns red, "Ah, sorry."

"Seems we have a lot to talk to a lot talk about," I smile.

She smiles back, "It seems we do," its a warm smile, I adore it.
