Akari's POV

<<<<<<<<<<<

I walked along the school hallways as the other kids stared at me. I dashed out to the school yard with my head hung low.

"Look, it's her."

"It's that girl. The cheater!"

I sat down in a corner where no one can see me and tired to fight back the tears. Just then, two girls approached me.

"Why did you do that, Akari-chan?"

"You know that's not the right thing to do."

I shook my head as I look up to them,"T-That's not true...."

"Everyone should get along! But why did you do that, Akari-chan?"

"Akari! You betrayer!!"

I closed my eyes shut and continued shaking my head vigorously, "No! You're wrong!!"

>>>>>>>>>>>

My eyes shot opened as I breathed heavily. I looked around and found myself in my own room. Feeling reassured, I slowly closed my eyes and tried to calm down. When my breath became steady again, I got up and sat on my bed. I put my hand against my chest and felt my heart pounding rapidly. My whole body was covered in sweat. 'Why did I have that dream again..?' I sighed.

I glanced over at the clock. 6:10 am. It's still early, but I decided to get up. I won't be able to go back to sleep anyways.

I slid groggily to the bathroom and did my daily routine. Then I showered and changed into my school uniform.

Next, I cleaned my bed and as I was about to leave my room I saw my own reflection on the mirror. The images from my dream flashed back in my mind. I shook my head, trying to forget it. Then, I quickly left my room and went downstairs for breakfast. There was an hour left until school starts but I decided to go early today.

Granny was already there when I got downstairs.

"Oh, you're up early today, Akari-chan."

"Yup, morning Granny," I greeted.

"Sit there for a while, I'm almost done with making breakfast."

I nodded and took a seat at the table. After a while, Granny came with two plates on her hands. She placed one in front of me and another across me as she took a seat in front of me.

"Wow, it looks good," I said and clapped my hands. "Ittadakimasu."

The two of us ate the breakfast as we talk about school. Granny graduated from a top university which makes her really clever. She would ask me whether I was able to catch up with the school lessons or if the lessons were too easy, she would often tutor me too. Thanks to her influence, I was able to get top scores in the class. Not only is she smart, she is also really sharp and wise, she notice my slightest change of emotions.

I munched down the last piece of bacon and put my dish in the sink.

"Granny, I'll get going now," I said as I grabbed my bag and lunchbox.

"Okay, take care, Akari-chan," she replied as I walked out of the house.

>>>>>>>>>>>

"Miura-san would you like to go to cafeteria with us?" one of my classmate asked. "You're always alone since school started so we were just wondering if you would like to hang out with us....." another followed.

"No thanks, I'm fine on my own," I stood up with my lunch box and left the classroom.

"See? Didn't I tell you it was pointless?Just who does she think she is? Think she's cool or something? Tch."

"She just seem so lonely--"

That's right. I may seem cruel to some people but you have to respect someone else's personal space.

I headed to the school's rooftop. As I opened the door I felt a gentle breeze against me. I could almost see the whole city from top of here and it was mesmerizing. I took a seat near the fence, so I could enjoy the beautiful view as I eat. I put my lunchbox down, then begin to untie the napkin.

I opened the lunchbox to see a couple of sausages shaped as octopus, some onigiri, three rolled omelets, and some lettuce along with tomatoes. I started gobbling the food down as I was hungry then I paused when I heard giggles.

I looked around the rooftop, no one except me is here. Then I realized the noise was not from around me but from under. A couple was at the campus near the tree flirting with each other. 'Can't they be quiet? Wait....I feel like I've seen them somewhere?' I ignored the thought. 'Way to ruin my mood, I came up here for tranquility not for a disturbing sight.'

I stopped eating and went back to the classroom. One of the girl beside the one that came to talk to me earlier was glaring at me. 'This is normal.....after all I'm used to it.'

Everyday at school was the same; I go to classes, I eat lunch at the rooftop, then more classes. After that, I would go to library to finish my homework, study, or read books. When I'm done, I would return home. But even at home, there weren't much to do other than help Granny out and sleep. I don't even remember when my life became this way.

>>>>>>>>>>>

"WHY ARE THEY HERE AGAIN?!" I shouted. The couple from the other day are at the same spot again. I can't eat with all those disturbing noises they're making. 'Ah.... the place I've been eating at for almost a month will come to an end soon.. I got to find a new place to eat at. Should I just go an eat in the cafeteria?' I shook my head. 'Nahh it's way more noisy over there.' I thought to myself. 'It's all because of them,' I scowled as glared at them. Thus, I left the rooftop without eating once again.

My stomach was growling nonstop since the class had started. I squeezed my stomach in pain. 'Ugh I hope no one notice it. This is bad....I can't focus on the lesson.' At the worst timing, the teacher asked a question.

"Does anyone know the answer to this question?" No one volunteered to answer. "I guess it can't be helped then, I'll just randomly pick one of you."

I tried to avoid eye contact as I hoped that he won't call on me. 'Please don't pick me. Please don't pick--'

"Miura-san! I'm sure you can get this question right. Do you know the answer?"

'Damn it.' What do I do? I have no idea what the question even is.' Just then a girl from two seats across me raised her hand and said the answer. 'Gahhh... she saved me.' She looked over her shoulders at me and smiled. 'Was then intentional?' I gave her a slight bow, thanking her. She was the other girl that came to talk to me yesterday.

Today, I decided not to go to the library since I was starving. I headed straight home.

"Grannyy, I'm back!! Are there any left over cake from yesterday?"

"Akari-chan, you're back early today? Did something happened? Did you eat your lunch properly?" I told Granny that I didn't get to eat lunch because some annoying couple was disturbing my peace.

"Just because of that you didn't eat?"

"Um.. yeah. I mean they were really annoying."

Granny gave in and sighed, "There's still a piece of brownie left in the fridge. You should go and eat it. I'll be in my room if you need me, Akari-chan."

I nodded as she left the dining room. Then, I grabbed the brownie from the fridge and started munching it down.

>>>>>>>>>>>

The next day the same girl came to me and asked if I wanted to eat lunch with them again. I gave the same response and went to the roof with my lunch box. 'I really have to find another place to eat,' I thought to myself as I opened the door to the roof.

I sat on my normal spot and didn't waste any time to eat. The faster I eat, the less I'll get to hear the stupid couple. After a while, I noticed something strange. I didn't hear the voices anymore. Curious, I looked down to see no one there.

'Finally! Thank god, they're gone!!' I smiled and continued eating my lunch happily.

>>>>>>>>>>>

I decided to go to the library today after school. I didn't have homework due tomorrow but I thought I would read there.

As I got there, I grabbed a seat and took out the book I borrowed the other day. I looked at the time after reading the book for awhile. 'Oh, it's already been 30 minutes.' Time pass by so fast when I'm reading... 'I should probably get going soon' I thought as I observed my book. 'I'm already halfway done, I should get a new book to read during the weekend.'

I got up from my seat and started searching for a good book. As I was walking along the rows of the library, I spotted the boy I saw the other day. 'He must come here often... Though, he doesn't seem like the nerdy type.' I think he felt me looking at him and turned my way. I suddenly averted my gaze when he found me. Just as I was about to walk away, he called out, "Oh, aren't you the girl from the other day? Fancy meeting you here again." He smiled and made this way towards me.

'Ugh, this is going to be troublesome...I can't believe I let my guard down the other day. I could've landed on my own feet, I didn't need his help. Now he'll say I owe him and stuff. ' I tried to ignore him and begin to walk away. My eyes widened as he grabbed my wrist.

"Hey, it's rude to ignore someone who just greeted you," he said, with a small smile still on his face.

"What do you want?" I said as I pulled my hand back.

"Geez, I was just being nice and you're like that," he complained.

"Well, no one asked you to be nice to me so quit whining," I glared at him.

He frowned, "Tch, so annoying. I tried to be nice to someone as rude as you and I still don't get a natural reply. At least be polite to someone who's giving you attention." He looked down at me.

My jaws dropped as the words left his mouth. Anger started boiling inside me. 'Who the hell does he think he is?!' I didn't reply, I don't need to. 'Hold your anger in!' I reminded myself.

"Hey! You're still not replying huh? Ahhh I get it. Are you playing hard to get?" He provoked me. "Is that it? Huh--"

Not being able to control my anger any longer, my hand formed into a fist and I swing to his face with all my strength. With that, he fell down on his bottom and covered his cheek with his hand. Luckily there weren't much people in the library today so I think no one probably heard or saw it.

"Ow, what the hell? How can you just normally punch a person? And what's with all that strength? Are you some kind of an akuma (demon)?"

I cracked my knuckles as I continued glaring at him. "How? After you said all those things to me? And annoyed the hell outta me? You should know better not to mess with me. This punch is just a warning," I growled. I took a closer look at him as he got back up on his feet. "I was right. I knew it was you! You were the one that was disturbing my lunch for two straight days." I walked closer to him.

"H-H-Hey...w-what are you talking about? I have no idea what you're talking about." He replied as he slowly backed away.

"I just wanted to eat my lunch peacefully, but you and your girl were chattering so loud I could hear from the rooftop. Guess what? Not only did I get starved, I wasn't able to pay attention in class and almost embarrass myself infront of everyone!"

"H-Huh?"

"Are you left-handed or right-handed?" I asked him as I glared into his eyes.

"Right?"

"Ah I see. Then you won't be needing the other hand right?" I grabbed his left hand roughly and twisted it.

"Ow ow ow! Let me go!"

'He won't even say 'please?' in these kind of situations? Or even 'sorry.' How arrogant.' I let him go.

"Scary," he said with a chill going down on his spine, he rubbed his left hand. "Does it only take this much for you get angry? Wow, not only your short but the same goes with your temper."

I got annoyed and wanted to punch him once more but decided to walk away, leaving the guy behind. I quickly packed my bag and hurried home. I didn't say anything when I got home and stomped straight to my room.

"What an arrogant bastard," I mumbled to myself and clicked my tongue. 'On the second thought, I should've finish him off.'

A/N: Hey guys!! Here we are with the new chapter. Akari's personality is really different from how she used to be but we thought the old character of Akari was too cliche. So we decided to change her up a bit--maybe more than just a bit.

Oh and for those people who would like to know us better you can go check our profile bio. It's just tag questions we asked each other, we thought this might show a bit of who we are. The questions will change every month. :)
