A girl was sitting in a room which was completely dark other than the light coming from the little window at the top. Her face was buried in her knees. The door opened making her look up. Her face looked dull, the spark of liveliness in her eyes seemed to never exist. A man came in, holding a plate. He sat in front of her and forwarded the plate. She looked away. 

Man: Marna hai kya? Tu chahti bhi hogi to mai tujhe marne nahi dunga. Kha ise. Do you want to die? Even if you want to I won't let you. Just eat it. 

He went out and she ate the food. Soon he returned and took her out, dragging her by holding her arm. It was dark outside the room also, the window here a bit bigger. He pushed her into the bathroom and left without a word. It was a regular schedule now. After getting ready she went back to the room she was locked in earlier. After sometime someone came and locked that room from outside. Next when the door opened, it was the same man. He started hitting her to take out his anger. Though tears were rolling down her eyes she didn't show any reaction, the dark hiding her tears. Once his anger was gone he went away from there. She somehow managed to sit down though in pain. Sometimes she doubted if he even remembered she is just a 16 year old girl. 

G:Mai idhar kyu hu? Woh hai kaun? Woh mujhse itni nafrat kyu karte hai? Kya woh mere mummy papa ko jaante hai ya khud mere papa hai? Kya mai marne bhi yahi waali hu? Mai yaha paida huyi thi ya bahar kahi? Woh mujhe zinda kyu rakhna chahte hai? Lekin jab tak mai zinda hu kam se kam kisi aur ko toh unka ghussa nahi sehna padega. Woh zyada tar yahi hote hai, toh aur koyi nahi ho sakta jiske naseeb mein bhi yahi likha hai. Why am I here? Who is he? Why does he hate me so much? Did he know my parents or is he my father only? Is this where I am going to die also? Did I take birth here or in the world outside? Why does he want me to be alive? But till I am alive at least no one else will have to bear his anger. He is here almost the entire time, so there can't be anyone else suffering the same fate as me. 

Meanwhile with the man, he went to his cabin where someone was already waiting for him. 

Man: Mai tumhara hi intezaar kar raha tha Amaya. I was waiting for you only Amaya. 

Amaya: Filhal toh mai hu jise intezaar karna pada. Right now it was me who had to wait.

Man: Kuch kaam aa gaya tha. Daniel kaisa hai? Usse milkar kaafi wakt ho gaya hai. Some work came up. How's Daniel? It has been long since I saw him. 

She rolled her eyes. 

Amaya: Agar baat tumhari nahi hoti na toh mai uski shakal dobara kabhi nahi dekhti. Kabhi kabhi toh shak hota hai ki woh insaan hai bhi ki nahi. If not for you I would never even see his face again. Sometimes I doubt is he even a human. 

Man: Itna ghussa mat ho, mai janta hu usko phasana mushkil hai woh kab tak tumhe resist kar payega? Kam se kam woh kisiko bhi tumhe hostel se nikaalne nahi de raha. Aur gang ko uski zaroorat hai. Don't get so angry, I know he is difficult but till when can he resist someone like you? At least he is not letting anyone remove you from the hostel. And the gang needs him.

Amaya: Hmm. 

She got off the table and went to him. 

Amaya: Asal mein mujhe utna farak nahi padta, usse behtar hai mere paas. Actually it doesn't bother me that much, I have better than him. 

Man: Woh toh hai. You do. 

He called his PA. 

Man: Agle do ghanto tak meri koyi meeting ya koyi bhi kaam nahi hona chahiye, mai busy hu. Aur Daniel ko kehna ki shaam kk aakar mujhse mile. There should be no meeting or work for me for the next two hours, I'm busy. And say Daniel to visit me in the evening. 

PA: Ok sir. 

Moving to Daniel, he was with his friends when his phone rang. 

Boy: Mai kisi din tera phone tod dunga. I'll break your phone one day. 

Dan: Kya dushmani hai teri mere phone se? Humesha ise todne ki baat karta rehta hai. What enmity do you have with my phone? You always keep talking about breaking it. 

Boy2: Pehle call toh utha. First pick the call no. 

Dan: Ha, mai aata hu. Yeah, I'll be back. 

He went aside to talk and soon returned. 

Dan: Mujhe shaam ko kahi jana hai. I have to go somewhere in evening. 

Boy2: Ha chala jana jaha jana hai, par abhi us baare mein mat bol. Yeah go wherever you want to, but right now don't mention it. 

Daniel looked at him questioningly. 

Boy2(in a low tone): Woh usse aaj shaam ko hi milne ja raha hai. He is going to meet her today evening only. 

Dan(in a low tone): Mai janta hu, toh? Mujhe kaunsa uske saath jana tha. I know, so? It's not like I had to go with him. 

Boy2(in a low tone): Jana tha. Mujhse iski nervousness nahi sambhali jayegi. You had to. I can't handle his nervousness. 

Dan: Mai jaate wakt tujhe restaurant par drop karke chala jaunga. Lautna ho tab mujhe call kar dena, hum dono mein se koyi aa jayega tujhe lene. I'll drop you at the restaurant on the way. Call me when you have to return, one of us will pick you up. 

Boy: Ok. 

Boy2: Amaya kaha hai? Where is Amaya? 

The two glared at him. 

Dan: Tujhe koyi dikkat hai humare shanti se rehne mein? Do you have any problem with us living in peace? 

Boy: Khush reh tu abhi tak waha baitha hai. Ek aur shabd bola na toh tu pitega. Be happy you are still sitting there. One more word and I'm going to beat you. 

Boy2: Thik hai mai chup rahunga. Ok I'll keep quiet. 

Boy/Dan: Behtar rahega. You better do. 

Boy2(murmured): Mujhe do do Hitlers ka saamna kyu karna padta hai? Hum dost bane bhi kaise? Why do I have to face two two Hitlers? How did we even become friends? 

Dan: Itna dimaag mat daura apna, ab ban gaye hai toh tujhe zindagi bhar hume sehna padega. Don't run your brain so much, now that we have you'll have to bear us your entire life. 

He said while side hugging him, the other boy did the same. 

Boy: Bilkul sahi kaha isne. He is right. 

Boy2: Ha mai samjh gaya, chodo mujhe. Yeah I understood, leave me. 

He said while pushing both of them away and they laughed. Moving to Sidshek, 

Abhi was busy in his phone and Sid was getting bored so snatched his phone. Jai's whatsapp profile pic opened due to this.

Abhi: Sid, kya kar raha hai? Phone de mera. Sid, what are you doing? Give my phone. 

Sid: Nahi. Kaun hai yeh sab? Nope. Who are these people? 

Abhi: Tu unhe nahi janta... You don't know them... 

Sid: Isliye toh puch raha hu. That's the reason I am asking. 

Abhi: Aur jaan kar karna bhi kya hai? Mera phone de. And what will you do by knowing also? Give my phone. 

Sid: Nahi dunga. I won't. 

Abhi: Kya chahiye tujhe? What do you want? 

Sid: Aapko pareshan karna hai. I want to trouble you. 

Abhi: Mujhe pareshan karna hai? Ab tu dekh. Trouble me? Now you see.

Sid ran but Abhi was quicker and got hold of him. He started tickling Sid. 

Sid: Acha sorry, nahi karunga aapko pareshan. Ok sorry, I won't trouble you. 

Abhi left him and he sat straight. 

Sid: Lekin mujhe batao na, kaun hai woh? But tell me no, who are they? 

Abhi: Jai ka parivaar hai. Tu kyu puch raha hai? This is Jai's family. Why are you asking?  

Sid: Bas aise hi. Just got curious. 

Abhi was confused but let it be. Just then SM came there. 

SM: Sid, Abhi, kya kar rahe ho tum dono? Jaldi aao aur kuch khalo. Sid, Abhi, what are you both doing? Come fast and eat something. 

Sidshek: Ha maa. Yes maa. 

She went and soon they also went out after freshening up.
