Sid felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see Abhi. 

Abhi: Sid, kya hua? Sid, what happened? 

Sid: Kuch nahi. Nothing. 

Abhi: Phir tu itni tension mein kyu hai? Then why are you so worried?

Sid: Mai kisi tension mein nahi hu. I am not. 

Abhi: Lek... Bu... 

Sid(shout): Aap samajhte kyu nahi? Koyi wajah hogi na agar mai chupa raha hu. Why don't you understand? There must be a reason no if I am hiding it. 

Sid just stood up and ran away from there. He stopped when he almost bumped into someone. He was about to go but stopped realising she was crying. 

Sid: Excuse me, umm... aap theek ho? Excuse me, umm.. are you fine? 

g: Tum ho jo theek nahi lag raha abhi. It's you who doesn't look fine right now.

She said to avoid his question which he understood and was quiet. 

Tanya: I am Tanya

She said while forwarding her hand. 

Sid: I'm Siddharth

He shook her hand. He turned back to see if Abhi is there, he wasn't. Just then he noticed someone. 

Sid: Acha mujhe abhi jana hai. Umeed hai dobara mile. Bye. Well, I have to go now. Hopefully we'll get to meet again. Bye. 

Tanya: Bye. 

He went to the person he had seen. 

Sid: AVU

She turned and smiled seeing him and hugged him tightly. 

Sid: Tu ek din mera gala daba degi agar yuhi kas kar gale lagati rehti hai. You'll choke me one day if you keep hugging me so tightly. 

He joked after returning the hug. She pulled away and hit his chest. 

Avu: Utna bhi zor se nahi karti hu. Sorry par mujhe kahi jana hai toh abhi baat nahi kar sakti, baad mein message karti hu. I don't hug that tight also. Sorry but I have to go somewhere so can't talk right now, I'll message you later. 

Sid: Ok, bye. 

Avu: Bye. 

Sid went home, calling Abhi on the way to inform him and apologising for running away. He was confused on whether he did right or not by lying to Faisal, but he couldn't let his father get arrested, right? He reached home, Abhi had already reached. 

SF: Hume ek function mein jana hai, jaldi tayar ho jao. We have to attend a function, get ready soon. 

Their mother was already ready. They went to get ready. Abhi got ready first. 

Abhi: Sid, jaldi kar, hum dono ko daant padegi. Sid, be fast, both of us will be scolded.

Sid: Ha aa raha hu. Yeah I'm coming. 

Abhi snatched the comb from his hand and picked his watch before he could. 

Abhi: Ek ghante se tu baal hi bana raha hai, ghadi gaadi mein pehen lena. Ab chal. You are combing your hair only since an hour, wear your watch in the car. Now come. 

He pulled Sid with him. 

Sid: Mera phone My phone

Abhi: Maine le liya. I took it. 

They went to the car. Soon they reached and were meeting everyone there one by one. Sidshek didn't know half of the people so were just smiling.

Sid: Sabko humari life mein itna interest kyu hai? Why are everyone so interested about our lives?

Abhi: Pata nahi lekin hum khade khade sunne ke alawa kuch nahi kar sakte hai. Kam se kam yeh sab mummy papa se hi sawaal pooch rahe hai aur humse nahi, humse poochne waale aane baaki hai. I don't know but we can't do anything other than standing and listening. At least they are not questioning us but our parents, the people who will are yet to come.

Sid: Yaad mat dilao. Don't remind me.

They were talking in a very low tone so no one hears them. They were relieved when the host started speaking, taking everyone's attention. After sometime few games were about to start.

SM: Tum dono bhi jao na. You both also go no.

Sid: Mujhe nahi karna maa. Maa I don't want to.

SF just looked at Abhi.

Abhi: Sid, chal na, mai akele hissa nahi le raha. Sid, come no, I am not participating alone.

He took Sid to the front.

Sid(in mind): Bhai papa se itna kyu darte hai? Woh mujhe kabhi batate kyu nahi hai? Par phir maine bhi toh unse itna bada sach chupa rakha hai. Why is bhai so scared of papa? Why doesn't he ever tell me? But then even I have hidden such a big truth from him.

Host: Toh is game mein tumhe chit uthani hai aur diye gaye sawaal ka jawaab dena hai. Fikar mat karo, yeh koyi exam nahi hai toh sawaal mushkil nahi hoge. So in this game you have to pick a chit and answer the question in it. Don't worry, it is not an exam paper so questions won't be tough.

Many laughs were hear at the last line.

Host: Ok toh mai pehla jan chunta hu. Ok so I'll choose the first person.

The game started and after sometime Sid's turn came. Reading the question he froze for a second but didn't let his expressions change.

Sid: Sawaal hai, 'Aapko apne papa ke baare mein kaunsi cheez sabse zyada pasand hai?' The question is, 'What do you love or admire the most about your father?'

He looked at his father. How much ever he lied to himself, the truth was he didn't consider this man as his father by heart anymore, he stopped loving and respecting his father long back, just respected the relation because that's what he has been taught always, respect elders and every relation of yours, no matter what the situation is. After all elders can never be wrong. 

Sid: Jo cheez mujhe apne papa ke baare mein sabse zyada pasand hai, woh yeh hai ki woh kis tarah har cheez ko chupa lete hai. The thing I admire and love the most about my father is how he hides everything.

A silence was spread, all were confused. Sid looked at his father who kept neutral expressions but gave him a warning glare.

Sid: Chahe unki ichaye ho, unka dard ho, unke emotions ho ya unke sapne, woh humesha chupaate hai humare liye, apne parivaar ke liye. Unhone hume kabhi unke aansu nahi dekhne diye aur khudne hum mein se kisiki bhi aankho mein kabhi aansu nahi aane diye. Be it his wishes, his pain, his emotions or his dreams, he always hides it for us, for his family. He never let us see the tears in his eyes and never let tears form in our eyes.

All smiled, few even praised him. Abhi closed his eye, holding back the tears forming in his eyes. The time when he had been sitting in the corner of the room, crying continuously till days together, all because of their father, seeing which Abhi never wanted them to live in separate rooms roamed in Sid's mind. His eyes moved away from his father's as he spoke the last line, but they met Abhi's.

Sid: I love you papa.

Everyone clapped and Sid went back. The way Sid looked away from their father and the hurtful look in his eyes disturbed Abhi but he kept quiet. The game continued and soon Abhi's turn arrived.

Abhi: Sawaal hai 'Aap sabse zyada kisse pyaar karte hai?'. Woh mera bhai hai, Siddharth. The question is 'Who do you love the most?' It is my brother, Siddharth.

Sid turned to him to find him already looking at him.

Abhi: Hum humesha close rahe hai, chahe ek dusre ke liye ladna ho, ek dusre ko apne raaz batana ho, ladke phir ek dusre ko hi manana ya ek dusre ko pareshaan karna, hum humesha saath the. Aur mujhe poora yakeen hai humara yeh bond kabhi kamzor nahi hoga, hum humesha saath rahege, chahe jo ho. We have always been close, be it standing up for each other, sharing secrets, fighting and then making up or troubling each other, we are always together. And I am sure this bond of ours will never weaken, we will always be together, no matter what. 

Abhi came back. Though the game was continued everyone's attention was on Sidshek. 

Sid: Sorry bhai us wakt chillane ke liye, mai chillana nahi chahta tha. I'm sorry for shouting bhai, I didn't mean to.

Abhi: Koyi baat nahi, mai samajhta hu teri koyi wajah rahi hogi, tu chahe jab bata dena mujhe. You don't have to be, I understand you must have a reason, tell me when you want to.

He smiled.
