Jaan: Fais maine kaha mujhe tumse baat nahi karni. Fais I said I don't want to talk to you. 

Fais: Tu itne ghusse mein kyu rehti hai aaj kal? Why are you always so angry these days?

Jaan: Mai nahu hu ghussa. Tum bas jao yaha se. I'm not. Just go from here. 

Fais: Janu, kuch hua hai kya? Janu, is something wrong? 

Jaan: Tum mujhe pareshan karna band karoge? Apne ghar ya police station ya jaha jana hai jao. Will you stop irritating me? Go to your home or police station or wherever you want to. 

Fais: Mai tujhe pareshan kar raha hu? I am irritating you? 

Jaan: Ha, ab jao. Yes, now leave. 

Fais: Tujhe kya baat pareshan kar rahi hai? Tu kuch bol kyu nahi rahi? What is bothering you? Why are you not saying anything? 

Jaan: Mujhe koyi baat pareshan nahi kar rahi. Nothing is bothering me. 

Fais: Toh tu bewajah ghussa kar rahi thi? Pichle 5-6 din se yahi ho raha hai, mujhe pata bhi nahi hota kab aur kyu tera mood poora badal jata hai. So you were getting angry for no reason? It has been going on since the previous 5-6 days, I don't even know when and why your mood suddenly switches. 

She didn't know what to say and just kept quiet. He sighed and hugged her, feeling her body relax. 

Fais: Mai janta hu tujhe apni problems share karne mein mushkil hoti hai, utna khulkar nahi bol paati, par teri mushkil ka hal kaise nikalega jab tak tu kisiko batayegi nahi? Tujhe itna darne ki zaroorat nahi hai mujhe kuch bhi batane se. I know you have never been open with your problems, you always hesitate telling anyone about what you go through, but how will your problems end if you don't share them with anyone? You don't have to be so scared of telling me about anything. 

He pulled back and cupped her face. 

Fais: Agar tu abhi tayar nahi hai batane ke liye toh jitna chahe wakt lele, par please mujhe aise apni takleefein chupaya mat kar. Samajhne ki koshish kar, tujhe thoda khulkar baat karna seekhna hoga. If you are not ready to tell now then take your time, but please don't hide things from me like this. Try to understand, you have to be more open. 

She was just looking at him silently. He leaned closer to her and looked into her eyes, like asking for permission. She closed her eyes in response and he kissed her, softly yet passionately. They had to pull back because of the bell. 

Jaan: Maa hogi. Must be maa. 

Fais: Mujhe pata tha ki teri mummy mujhse nafrat karti hai par itni nahi pata tha. I knew your mother hates me, but not that she hates me so much. 

She chuckled. 

Jaan: Mai jakar gate kholti hu. I'll go open the door. 

Fais: Hmm. 

They went out and Jaan opened the door, it was her mother only. 

Fais: Mai jata hu phir? I'll leave then? 

She nodded and he bid the two bye before leaving. With Jai, 

He returned home and didn't have much work today so after dinner he went to Avu's room. 

Avu: Bhai, aap yaha? Bhai, you here? 

Jai: Ha, aaj mera kaam kam tha toh aa gaya. Tera kaam kaisa chal raha hai? Yeah, my work was less today so came. How's your work going on? 

Avu: Acha chal raha hai. Good. 

Jai: Mai janta hu mai zyada... I know I haven't been able to take out... 

Avu: Koyi baat nahi, mai samajh sakti hu. It's fine, I can understand. 

Just then her phone rang but it got cut before any of them could see the caller id. 

Avu: Kisine galti se phone kar diya hoga. Someone must have called by mistake. 

Jai: Teri kitaabe kaha gayi? Where did your books go? 

Avu: Shelf mein. In the shelf. 

Jai: Tu kabse kitaabe shelf mein rakhne lag gayi? Aur apna kamra bhi saaf rakhne lag gayi? Since when did you start keeping your books in the shelf?  And keep your room so clean?

Avu: Mai yu bhi nahi padh paati hu unhe toh andar hi rakh di. Shaam ko mere paas phone par baat karne ke alawa koyi kaam nahi hota toh baat karte karte kamra bhi saaf kar leti hu. Aap kitne sawaal poochne waale ho? I am not able to read them anyways so I kept them inside. In evenings I have nothing to do other than talking on call so I just clean the room while talking. How many questions are you going to ask?

Jai: Jaha tak mujhe yaad hai mai is kamre mein 2 hafte pehle hi aaya tha lekin dekh kar lag raha hai jaise mahino baad aaya hu. I am sure it hasn't been more than two weeks since I came here but it looks like I am coming after months. 

Avu: Aap bol toh aise rahe ho jaise mai apna kamra kabhi saaf nahi rakhti hu. You are saying like I don't keep my room clean ever. 

Jai: Ha toh nahi rakhti hai. Tera kamra humesha aisa dikhta hai jaise yaha se toofan guzara tha. Well you actually don't. Every time your room looks like a storm had passed by.

Avu: Jaise aap toh apna kamra bada saaf rakhte ho. Like your room is always clean. 

She picked the pillow beside her and threw it at him. He moved away while laughing, making it fall on the floor. 

Jai: Chalo kuch toh nahi badla, tera nishana abhi bhi galat hi lagta hai. At least something didn't change, your aim is still bad. 

Avu: Bhaiii

Jai: Acha sorry. Mai tera phone le raha hu. Ok ok sorry. I'm taking your phone. 

Avu: Aapke phone ko kya hua? What happened to yours? 

Jai: Mai apne room mein bhool gaya aur mai waha tak nahi ja raha sirf apna phone laane. I forgot it in my room and I am not going till there just to get my phone. 

Avu: Thik hai. Ok. 

He picked her phone. 

Jai: Tere kitne missed calls hai? Kuch dino se phone nahi dekha hai kya? Saare calls do number se hi hai, Riyaz aur Sid. Sid kaun hai? How many missed calls due to have? Have you not checked your phone since few days? All are from two numbers, Riyaz and Sid. Who is Sid?

Avu: An online friend.

Jai: Tu unke call kyu nahi utha rahi hai? Why are you not answering their calls? 

Avu: Mere irritating boss ki wajah se. Mujhe woh bilkul nahi pasand. Because of my irritating boss. I hate himmm.

She whined. 

Jai: Kyu? Unka kya lena dena tere calls na uthane se?... Mai pehle apna call karke aata hu. Why? What does he have to do with you not answering their calls?... I'll finish the call first. 

He called someone and went out to talk. Soon he returned and gave her the phone, he had brought his as well. 

Jai: Mere bistar par filhal jagah nahi hai, mai yahi so jau? There is no space on my bed right now, so can I sleep here itself? 

Avu nodded. After few minutes she went to sleep, more like just lied down and stared at the ceiling, thinking about something. Jai didn't sleep either, he was looking at his phone. 

Avu: Neend nahi aa rahi? Not sleepy?

Jai: Hmm. Tu kyu jag rahi hai? Hmm. Why are you awake?

Avu: Mujhe bhi neend nahi aa rahi. I'm also not sleepy. 

Jai: Tere boss ka kya chakkar hai? What exactly is the matter with your boss? 

Avu: Woh itna kaam dete hai, jaise ki mai ek lauti employee bachi hu office mein. Aur woh bahut irritating hai. He gives so much work, like I am the only employee left in his office. And he is very irritating. 

Jai: Tujhe iski aadat daalni hogi, bahut se bosses aise hote hai. You'll have to get used to it, many bosses are like that. 

Avu: Mai jaanti hu, mujhe us office ke kaam se dikkat nahi hai jo woh dete hai, woh mai kar sakti hu, par woh bahut irritating hai. Aur woh waise bilkul nahi hai jaise aapko lag rahe hoge. Baaki employees ke saath ka unka behaviour ikdam alag hai, baaki sabke liye toh unse behtar koyi nahi. I know, I don't have problem with the office work he gives, I can do it, but he is very irritating. And he is far from the image you must have formed in your head of him. With other employees his behaviour is completely different, they say he is the best.

Jai: Tujhe yeh anokha treatment kyu? What got you the special treatment?

Avu: Apne kaam mein ache hone ka yahi nateeja hota hai, woh office hours ke baad bhi kaam ke liye call karte hai. Woh mujhe baaki employees ki tarah treat nahi kar sakte kya? Mera un sabke jitna experience bhi nahi hai. Being 'good at work' leads to this, he calls me for work after office hours also. Can't he treat me as the other employees? I am not even as experienced as others.

Jai: Best employee hone ke apne fayde hote hai, promote hone ke chances badh jaate hai. Being the best employee has its benefits, there are more chances of being promoted.

Avu: Hmm. Khair unhe chodo, aap apne kaam ke baare mein batao. Hmm. Anyways, leave him, you tell about your work.
