Chapter [1]

Salia giggled, skipping around the party and gazing at all the lights and colors filling the area. Fireworks were lit (A/N: aYeEeE), trolls were celebrating and dancing. Everyone was happy. Salia loved the sight of their smiles and laughs, she was happy that they're happy.

But Salia was happy for her own personal reason. She was excited, passionate and joyful. She was definitely pure for her age.

"Salia~!" Her mother called, filled with thrill and joy. "He's about to arrive!"

Salia gasped and quickly ran through the crowd of trolls to head to her home. Everyone was curious, excited for the arrival of the newborn baby.

If you took a moment to watch a flower bloom or maybe watch a sunrise, you would probably take a moment to meet someone new.

Salia entered through her mother's room, seeing the little flower that was about to bloom.  It was resting in a pile of pillows and blankets. Salia's mother and father kneeled close to it, watching as a bright ray of sunshine crept out between the petals of the flower as it bloomed. Salia tried her best to get a little peak, but saw her mother smile widely.

Salia saw her father gesturing her to come near, so she quickly ran towards him as he picked her up for them to see a little bundle of joy.

It was a little troll, with beautiful grayish green eyes. His hair was bright and his skin was a darkish orange. A baby boy, blinking rapidly to see his surroundings. He cried and whimpered, but Salia's mother could not sooth him with gentle cradles.

"Ma? Can I see him?" Salia asked, reaching towards the crying child. Her mother had no choice but let her daughter see her little brother. When the little boy saw her, he stopped crying and somehow giggled. Salia almost thought the baby was laughing at her, but she couldn't help but laugh as well. Salia was happy.

Few hours later, Salia's parents decided to let her decide the name for her little brother for the happiness she has brought him.

"But I can't decide Da, Ma," she said, getting a bit anxious and scared.

"Just think of a personal meaning to him. Have a little fun." Her father replied, giving her a reassuring look and a smile. Salia thought about it deeply.

Happiness was important to her, she loved seeing smiles and laughs from people she loved. Her friends, her family, her neighbors. She loved the idea of bringing a bright light to the dark.

"I wanna name him Joy."
