Sleep,

The one thing that could blindly pass my time.

It had been quite a while since I had slept properly and it seemed like today was no exception. I tossed and turned. All I could think about was Dargess, Augun, and my family. Dargess fancied me, Augun apparently "loved" me, and my family, as far as I know, was probably dead.

Why? What did I do against God to be punished like this? At moments I doubted his existence, but I had to keep telling myself that God was doing this to make me stronger and that Satan was only trying to discourage me.

He does everything to make you stronger.

"Lagertha.", Augun said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Yes?", I said in an unusually kind tone. "What is wrong?", he put a concerning hand on my shoulder. "Is it Dargess? You keep looking at him."

I glanced over at Dargess, fully proving his point. Dargess had clearly understood that he was in trouble. He gave me a pleading look, the same look he had in his face at our training session, and the look he gave me when he kissed me. "No...uhh...yes. I am alright.", I replied.

"Please, do not lie Lagerth-", he begged, but I interrupted him by pushing his hand off of my shoulders. "I am not lying!", I cleared my throat, recognizing that I was yelling. "I am not lying. Trust me."

He turned from me in a defeated manner and stretched out, motioning fit me to join him. I plopped Dow beside him and stared up at the star speckled sky. I connected dots and watched as some seemed to thron, almost as if they could not contain their heat and light .

I wondered what lau beyond these seemingly endless skies and constellations. Another group of people, just like us, could be living their everyday lives on another form of Earth.
