(ѕωєαяιηg)

My first day back at school in a long while. I've been in a coma since freshman year when I got hit on the head with a football.

Even though I remember all of highschool. Someone has been doing my work for me so I'm not behind but Remus won't tell me who. Maybe it's one of his messed up friends. Are they still friends anymore?

I have a feeling that Virgil hasn't changed any. Can't wait to see him again. We were best friends up until high school. Then freshman year he took interest in Remus and I stopped talking to him.

I feel like I should talk to him today. Catch up on some things. I wonder if we have any classes together. What are my classes, anyway? I hope I wasn't put into any honors because there is no way I will know anything with 3 years of absence.

"Kids grab your shit we're leaving!" Oh, not this drug addict again.

I grab my bag and leave my room, walking downstairs. There stands my brother, looking as trashy as ever, my sister, looking as slutty as ever, and my mother, running around trying to find her car keys.... without pants on.

"Mother, pants would be nice." She looks down and rushes back to her room, leaving me with the two other drug addicts.

"You finally going to school? I won't be shocked if they expel you for not going for so long." I roll my eyes at my sister and look at her outfit. She's wearing a short skirt that barely covers anything, a crop-top that just about goes past her chest, and 3in high heels.

"Go change, you're only in 6th grade." She scoffs and goes back to her room, most likely to change into something worse. She doesn't act like it but she has a lot of respect for me.

"What about me? You gonna tell me to go change?" I look at Remus's outfit and shake my head. He's wearing a black crop-top with a silver skull on it, black jeans with a silver chain instead of a belt, and black sneakers with spikes at the front.

"Why are there spikes on your shoes?"

"So that if I kick someone I'll be stabbing them at the same time." I sigh and hear someone coming down the hallway. I look over for a split second just to see my mother with pants, but no shirt.

"Why did you take off your shirt?!" Remus starts laughing and I glare at him.

"It's either no shirt or no pants."

"How about a shirt and pants but no socks?" I hear a hum of approval and then footsteps walking away.

"You're good at dealing with this family. I hope you like how I messed it up for you." I look at Remus and see his proud smirk.

"Thank you. I'm soooo happy you did this." Remus laughs at my sarcasm just as my sister comes out of her room.

"How's this?" Now she's wearing a blue long sleeve shirt with gold wording saying 'Just Lion Around', black leggings, and black sneakers.

"Better." Mother comes back out finally fully dressed and we leave for school, dropping my sister off first.

We get to the high school and Remus and I walk into the building as soon as the car stops. He pulls me to the side and looks around.

"I've kept everything undercover for you so here are a few things you need to know. You don't play any sports. You aren't in any honors classes. Your friends consist of the Theater club and nothing else. You do not talk to Virgil anymore, stay away from him if you can, if not give him a dirty look and then ignore him. If you like being at school today then we'll figure something out for you to come more often but I don't want you to jump back into things too quickly. Understand?"

I nod and in seconds Remus is on the ground, being hugged by a man in black with blond hair.

"Janus! Come on get up!" Remus starts laughing and I smile at the scene. At least Remus still has friends. Janus gets up and helps Remus up. They look at me and Janus steps closer.

The left side of Janus's face looks burned. His left eye is surrounded by pink irritated skin. He's wearing a black tux with a yellow undershirt, black leggings, black sneakers painted to say LIAR, and a black bowler hat.

"Janus Randall, at your service, your majesty." Janus bows and holds out his hand towards me, asking for my own. I look at Remus, confused. He shrugs and smiles. I give Janus my hand and he brings it up to his mouth, kissing my knuckles.

"It is such a pleasure to finally meet you. Though I do suppose we've met before. You wouldn't remember me, though. I went under a different name back then." He winks and I think back to all of Remus's friends. None of them looked like Janus. Janus let's go of my hand and straightens back up.

"By your expression, I assume you don't remember. It's alright, some things are better left forgotten." Wait. That was a quote. One that... One of Remus's friends said a lot.

"Deceit?" Janus smirks and winks at me, then walks away. The way he walks shows power. I look back at Remus and see him watching Janus walk off.

"You like Deceit?" Remus looks back at me and shakes his head frantically, a dark blush coating his cheeks. I smirk and he pouts at me before walking away.

I shrug and look down, seeing a schedule laying on the floor. I bend down and pick it up, noticing it says my name. Maybe Deceit was my replacement.

In the corner of the paper is a small note. 'For the prince himself. Welcome back ~J'

I smile at that and make my way to the first period. I have Study Hall first. I wonder what that'll be like. I mean, I came in halfway through the school year. How many classes do I have Virgil with? I know I left on a bad note. I think so, anyways. Last time I remember talking to Virgil, I yelled at him.

Come to think of it, I was yelling at him because he didn't like my idea of getting him and... and...

...

Can I seriously not remember their name?

Well, let's hope they aren't in any of my classes. If they remember me but I don't remember them, then that would be an awful interaction.

I see Virgil walking with two backpacks in front of me and I can't get myself to look away. He looks so different. So much happier. But then he sees me. I look away from him and in an instant, I'm being thrown against a bunch of lockers. My arm gets the honor of the first impact and I hear a snap. I fall to the floor, tears welling in the corner of my eyes as I hold my arm.

"What did you do to him?" Who? Why am I already being blamed for something?

"Who?" Virgil pulls me away from the lockers and pushes me back against them, hard.

"Logan. What did you do to him?" Logan? Who is Logan? Well, asking questions is getting me nowhere.

"I haven't done anything to him." Virgil looks like he doesn't believe me, but I didn't do anything!

"Then what about earlier? What was that, huh?" Earlier? What happened earlier? What's happening now?!

"I haven't seen you all day." I pull my injured arm behind my back, rubbing it with my other hand and hissing at the pain it brings.

"If it wasn't you, then who was it?" I shrug and try to remember. Maybe it was Janus. He has been covering me for the past few years.

"What did I say?" I look around us and notice two people coming towards us.

"You said that we should go find Logan. And quick. Then you said we should wait till lunch. He was laying in our space, covered in blood. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO?!" Does he have a space? Or is he talking about space? Like, an area where he hangs out or the space in the sky? Wait did he say that someone was dying?! I look back at the two people and they look pissed. Virgil moves my head back to look at him and grins.

"Roman? What are you still doing here?" I look around and notice I'm in a forest. I look down and see two men. One is laying down with thousands of cuts littering his torso and arms. The other is sitting next to him, rummaging through one of the bags Virgil was carrying.

"Would it be ok if I helped you?" The conscious boy smiles and nods. I sit and he pulls a first aid kit out of the bag. He throws the bag to the side and opens the kit, giving me the stuff to wash all the cuts with. Is it safe to be doing this in a forest? I mean, I won't question this guy. He looks like he knows what he's doing.

"Help me clean the cuts before anything else." I nod and we get to cleaning the cuts. After a while, he stops and grabs some bandages. Multiple cuts will not stop bleeding so we're bandaging them and are going to hope for the best.

"So Roman, what's with you wanting to help?" I look at the other and shrug.

"I'm guessing this is Logan and, the way Virgil spoke, he seems to mean something to Virgil. I used to be best friends with Virgil, but we stopped talking in freshman year. Seeing him for the first time in a long time today, I felt like I owed it to him."

The guy looks at me with a confused expression. "Virgil sent you?" I mean, I guess. I nod and the guy looks back at Logan.

"That doesn't make sense though. Virgil wouldn't trust someone like you without reason." Like me? "Maybe he made a deal. Did he make a deal with you?" I shrug and turn back to Logan. The deep cuts are uncovered still. I suppose Logan's getting stitches.

"Not sure. I don't remember anything from after he smiled at me." The man nods and sighs.

"So what's your name by the way?" He looks over at me, looking shocked.

"You don't remember my name? Hold on, what is going on with you? Do you have amnesia or something?"

"Something like that." I don't know how he'd react to finding out that I haven't been at school for a few years. I mean, how weird is it that I've been in a coma for three years and wake up just in time for senior year?

"Well then, I am Patton. The one you just helped save is Logan. So, how much do you not remember?" Do I just tell him?

"You know what? Come to play rehearsal Friday and I might tell you." With that I stand and walk off, excited to start play rehearsal.
