"Hey wake up, we're going to be late," Mouskit shouted as he tried waking up his sister Mistykit. "Let me sleep," Mistykit replied as she tried going back to sleep. "Did you forget what day is today," Mousekit continued as he jumped on his sisters back. "What," Mistykit replied back with a yawn. "Me, you and Oakkit, Rosekit, and Sunkit are going to become apprentices today," Mousekit continued when suddenly Spottedfern scolded him. "Lower down the volume your going to make everyone run for their lives," Spottedfern said as she tried waking up Mistykit. "Spottedfern, don't push," Mistykit replied as she got up. "Fine Mistykit but you must be excited about this ceremony," Spottedfern replied back. "Ok fine so when are we going to become apprentices," Mistykit asked. ""Just be patient, when Greystar calls on us then we will go up," Spottedfern replied. "But why not know," she asked again. "Your way to impatient," Mousekit replied to her. "Your way to energetic," Mistykit replied back. Suddenly they were locked in a play fight. "Both of you stop," Spottedfern hissed as she separated both of her kits. "Ok Spottedfern," Mouskit and Mistykit replied. Suddenly Greystar stepped up on the Highrock. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting," Greystar shouted to the clan as everybody left what they were doing behind to go beneath the Highrock. "It's time," Mouskit whispered happily. "You two remember that you must be calm don't go around acting like little kits for your going to become apprentices," Spottedfern replied to her kits as they went up onto the Highrock along with Oakkit, Sunkit and Rosekit. "Today Oakkit, Mistykit, Sunkit, Mouskit, and Rosekit have turned six moons old and they are ready to become apprentices." Greystar continued as the clan looked at him with excitement. "Come up," Greystar commanded to the kits, they were full of excitement and pride in themselves Mistykit looked at her brother and her friends Oakkit, Sunkit, and Rosekit she thought to her self it's time. Down below Mistykit could she her father Leopardtail as he looked at them with pride and love. "Oakkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Oakpaw. Your mentor will be Swiftclaw. I hope Swiftclaw will pass down all he knows onto you." Greystar said to the clan as he continued with the ceremony. "Swiftclaw you are ready take on another apprentice. You have trained Leopardtail and Firefur and I want you take on one more apprentice before you enter the elders den. You will be the mentor of Oakpaw and I except you to pass all you know to Oakpaw. Suddenly the clan started shouting, "Oakpaw, Oakpaw, Oakpaw." Oakpaw and Swiftclaw touched noses as Oakpaw and his new mentor went down to greet Oakpaw's parents. Then Greystar continued on with Mousekit. "Mousekit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it's time for you to be apprenticed.  From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mousepaw. Then everybody shouted once again, "Mousepaw, Mousepaw, Mousepaw." Then Greystar continued. "Your mentor will be Sorrelflame. I hope Sorrelflame will pass down all she knows onto you. Sorrelflame, your ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Nightstripe and you have shown yourself to be brave and a great hunter. You will be the mentor of Mousepaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to Mousepaw. Then Sorrelflame and Mousepaw touched noses as Mousepaw gave me a quick nod. Then they continued with Rosekit and Sunkit they were named Rosepaw and Sunpaw. Rosepaw's mentor was her father Firefur while Sunpaw's was Silvertail. Then it was my turn I wasn't ready for I didn't know what would happen next all I knew was that after this I was no longer stuck inside the nursery and that after this I wouldn't be called Mistykit I would be called Mistypaw. Greystar then looked at my with eyes full of pride as he continued on. "Mistykit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it's time for you to apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Mistypaw." I felt so happy and proud I looked around and I saw my clan calling my new name I was finally ready. "Your mentor will be Sandpool." Greystar said as Sandpool approached Mistypaw. "Sandpool you will be the mentor of Mistypaw you have shown that you deserve your second apprentice, and I expect you to pass all you you to Mistypaw." Then Mistypaw and Sandpool touched noses as the ceremony ended. "I'm so proud of you two," Leopardtail said as he nuzzled Mistypaw and Mousepaw. "Thank you Leopardtail," Mousepaw replied as Spottedfern shared tongues with him and Mistypaw. "Well are you two ready to train to become warriors," asked Sorrelflame as she and Sandpool got close to the siblings. "Yes," Mousepaw said excitable. "Yeah'" Mistypaw responded with a quiet voice. "Well then let's go then," Sandpool replied as she and Sorrelflame took the two apprentices out of the camp. "So what are we going to learn to do first," Mousepaw asked as he looked around trying to find any prey. "Well first were going to learn how to fight, we have had a few minor fights with PineClan so we need you guys to train to fight," Sandpool responded as she stopped them. "Ok so we're going to teach you how to fight other cats, I'll be a PineClan warrior and Sorrelflame will be one of us, watch closely," Sandpool explained as Mousepaw and Mistypaw nodded. Suddenly the two warriors clashed. Mousepaw watched closely as Sandpool and Sorrelflame clashed claws. Mistypaw looked at the warriors as well but she wasn't as entertained as her brother. Sandpool pinned Sorrelflame down but Sorrelflame kicked her off. Suddenly  Sorrelflame pinned Sandpool down and she grabbed her neck. She pretended to bite down hard. She let go of Sandpool. "That's how it's done, now it's your turn, but I don't expect you to start killing PineClan warriors left and right," Sandpool replied as she got up. "So it's our turn," Mousepaw asked as Sandpool laughed. "Yes of course," Sandpool replied as Mistypaw and and Mouspaw got ready fight. Mousepaw started the fight as he pinned down his sister. Mistypaw tried to get him but she just couldn't. Suddenly Mouspaw grabbed her neck meaning he had won. "Good job Mousepaw but remember that when your a warrior you'll be fighting with people that will sometimes want you to die so you better not be to confident about the way you fight," Sorrelflame reminded him as Mistypaw got up. "And for you Mistypaw you must watch out you guys are not kits anymore you must be alert for any cat could be waiting for the right time to attack," Sandpool reminded Mistypaw as she and Mousepaw got ready for another match. Mistypaw got behind her brother as she pinned him. Mousepaw tired getting her of his back but she had started to lift her weight back and forth. Then Mousepaw kicked her off his back but she didn't fall this time she stood up without falling. "Good job Mistypaw," Sandpool replied to her apprentice as the match continued. "Mistypaw was smaller then Mousepaw so it was hard for her to kick him of her back but she would have to try if you was to become a warrior. Mousepaw tried pinning her but Mistypaw stood firmly on the ground trying not to fall. Suddenly she fell letting Mousepaw grab her neck. "Good job Mousepaw you will have to practice more so you can become a great warrior but for now let's show you guys the territory," Sorrelflame said as they started walking. "You did a good job Mistypaw," Mousepaw said to her but she wasn't having it. "I can't believe you beat me," Mistypaw replied angrily. "Well you should of paid attention to when they were fighting you could of learned," Mousepaw replied back as he started to leave his sister behind. "Well you did a good job, you just have to learn to be able to hold bigger weight on your back," Sandpool said as she got closer to Mistypaw. "Sandpool, do you think I'll be a good warrior," Mistypaw asked as she looked at her mentor. "Well if you practice hard and if you pay attention, you'll become a great warrior," Sandpool replied as she nuzzled Mistypaw. "Sorry I didn't mean to get so mad," Mistypaw replied to her brother when they arrived at the river. "No it's ok I know that I shouldn't of been that mean well we both have to learn a lot I mean I might be good at fighting but you might be good at hunting but I know that you'll be a great warrior," Mousepaw replied back as he nuzzled his sister. "Are we going back," Mistypaw asked Sandpool as they left the river. "Yes well we just arrived," Sandpool replied as they entered the camp entrance. "Hi welcome back," Ashpaw said as he greeted the apprentices and their mentors. Ashpaw was one moon older then Mistypaw and Mousepaw but he was one of Mistypaw's best friends. "Hi Ashpaw," Mistypaw replied as she left to go talk to her friend. "You hungry," Ashpaw asked as he took a vole out of the fresh-kill pile. "Sure," Mistypaw replied as she and Ashpaw shared the vole. "Now before you two go to sleep you must remember that tomorrow you'll begin your apprentice duties," Sorrelflame said as Mousepaw yawned. "Ok Sorrelflame," Mistypaw and Mousepaw replied as they entered the apprentices den. "There you go, two new beds for you guys," Rainpaw said as she matted the fresh new beds. "Well good night you two," Ashpaw," said as he fell asleep. Mistypaw entered her bed she was so tired. "Good night Mistypaw," Mousepaw said as he closed his eyes and slept. "Good night," Mistypaw replied back as she lay her head down and closed her eyes with the voices of the Owls up on the tree tops.
