Disclaimer: this doesn't technically count as a poem, but I like it and it's pretty, so...

Imagine the world booming like a tree, bursting alive with a new shade of this white/black that you've never seen before. It's not quite grey, not quite black. An earthy tone, they call it brown.

Now your world consists of three colors, of all different shades. Brown is pretty, and it blends nicely with the whites and blacks.

But from your tri-colorness of a life, emerges a new color. Not quite the same as the palest brown, it has a little more...life to it. A vibrancy. You ask someone about it, and they say, "green". So you mix this rather pale "green" with some blacks, and a bit of white to get a pretty color that you like, and you start to fill this world with it.

You're happy with your life. What started as two colors made four. The grass is now green, the trees brown and beautiful and they contrast quite nicely.

But you start to notice your grey water turning a shade of green. Of course, that's not right, because people don't call water "green", they call it "blue". And slowly, this water changes and settles into a deeper shade of the weirdest green than you've ever seen.  You take this newest color and fill your world with it, tinting it with whites and greens and browns.  This color fills the sky with a lovely light shade and is just perfect.

Your sky doesn't feel quite right, however. Eventually, a light, almost brown color starts to seep into the cracks of blue in the mornings and evenings. This color you add to butterflies and flowers.

You darken it just a little bit to get this blooming, bursting color that you give to blood and tulips and call "red". You think that this color is your favorite, and decide to keep it.

Now your world is filled to the brim, of color. People are shades of brown and yellowish. The flags are your favorite, red, and basketballs orange. There are even bits of your old blacks and greys, and you decide that this word, with all its colors, is the most beautiful thing ever.
