If Misty was going to be honest with herself this little hike through the jungle was pretty annoying and, only having Lloyd and Harumi to watch got boring after a while and even the scenery was becoming tiresome, after you've seen a tree for a hundredth time...

Misty perked up though when she heard Lloyd say, "Stuck in a palace all your life, did you ever imagine you'd be in a place like this?"

"Hacking my way through Primeval's Eye? Not so much..." Harumi admitted, but then added, "But to be perfectly honest, I always dreamed being with you..."

Lloyd smiled and his face turned red, and Misty dug her finger nails into the tree she was on. But Harumi said, "But I heard you were with Misty the Master of Crystal... both of you seem to have some chemistry going between you two..."

Lloyd frowned and said, "I'm not sure what's between me and Misty at the moment... besides I think I've started looking toward someone else..." and he's face redden and he closed his mouth quickly, added "So according to this, we're almost to the Black River, We just have to get past this part that reads, "Strangler's Path."

"Uhh. Did you say Strangler's Path? That's cheery. Why is it called that?" Harumi said

"Places like these always have colorful names , Half the time it doesn't mean anything, The Caves of Despair, Blind Man's Eye, Hiroshi's Labyrinth, probably just some bored mapmaker with a wild..." Lloyd started to say but Misty noticed Vines appeared behind him and then latched on to Lloyd and dragged him away.

"Lloyd?!" Harumi said

"Harumi!" Lloyd shouted as he was pulled away, the map that was acting as a sling was pulled off, Lloyd was trapped.

Misty bolted after him, as Lloyd was being dragged along the ground he swore he saw a figure running to the right of him, he didn't get a clear look but he thought it looked liked Misty.

He felt someone grabbed his hand and try to stop him but he was begin dragged to fast. Just before he was about to be dragged into the mouth of a TREE! his sword came flying trough the air and broke him free and was able to kill the vine and tree.

Lloyd felt whoever had grabbed his hand let go and saw a figure get flung a little ways away from him.

"I-it just- It tried to-- you just threw, how did the tree? and Who?" Lloyd said as he turned to see the figure, when he did he saw the person raise their face and saw a pair of violet eyes glaring back at him, unmistakably Misty's eyes.

He looked back at Harumi still into much shock to register Misty's sudden appearance, and said," Where did you learn to throw a sword like that?" as he stood up.

"Uh I-I don't know You were gonna be eaten... I got lucky I guess..." Harumi said she had the map in one hand and Lloyd was holding the other.

"Luck? You were clear over here!" Lloyd pointed and Harmui grabbed his hand and pulled him forward and kissed his cheek. She stopped and said, "Should I not have done that?"

"No. I mean, yes. I mean-!" Lloyd said and then sighed happily and said, "Ahh. I guess now we know why they call it Strangler's path. He then turned and took the sword and handed back to Harmui and then took the map from her as she asked.

"How's your arm?"

"It feels all right now." Lloyd said

and he turned to where Misty had been laying, and said, "Well Misty nice for you to finally rejoin us..." But he stopped as he saw the place she had been laying was now vacant. but on a tree not far away was craved a message saying, "I never left, I promised I'd protect you didn't I? One of us has to keep our promises right?"

Lloyd and Harmui kept walking but Lloyd kept thinking about what Misty had written, and he was now well aware of every little noise that surrounded them.

Harmui was cutting a path but once she cut a vine she screamed, Lloyd walked forward and put his hand on her shoulder and saw what she had seen, "The Sons of Garmadon Insignia..." he muttered

"But what is it doing here?" Harmui said it had been painted on a boat, Lloyd climbed abroad and helped Rumi on, and took his sword from her.

"Is anyone there?' Rumi asked tentatively

"No it's abandoned." Lloyd confirmed, and him and Harmui walked on inside.

Lloyd spotted a map sitting on a table, and said, "The same map?"

"I thought no one knew where the Oni Temple was located?" Rumi said

"So why are there two maps? The Quiet One must have sent an expedition looking for the temple." Lloyd said

"Doesn't look like they got very far," Rumi said

"yeah but where did they go? What happened to them?" Lloyd said

"Maybe we'll have better Luck." Rumi said as she picked a set of keys that had been also sitting on the table.

She walked over and placed them into the slot and turned the key, at first it didn't start she tried again and it started and the boat moved forward, Rumi let out a happy squeal as the boat move forward and Lloyd laughed and said, "I'm beginning to think we are good luck together." Lloyd took a pole and walked to the front of the boat to test how deep the water was up ahead.

All of a sudden there was a thump as if someone had landed on the boat and Lloyd turned around when he heard Rumi scream.

And Lloyd saw a figure standing behind him, he could tell it was Misty, but she had a mask made of crystal covering her face. "Misty?" He said

"You said you never wanted to see my face again Lloyd... so I didn't want to make so you had to look at it." Misty replied and then she turned and watched the scenery go by without another word. The tension between the two was evident.

Lloyd turned back around and checked the depth of the water, "Five feet. That's okay. A little left. More Rocks." Lloyd said and he turned back and smiled at Rumi as if Misty wasn't even present. and then he turned back and said, "Not too fast it's pretty shallow around here, That's good keep her steady."

"Do you think It's really possible to bring someone back?" Rumi asked

Misty tensed but said nothing,

"I've seen a lot of things in my lifetime, At first, I didn't Now I'm not so sure." Lloyd said

"Does any part of you want to see your father again?" Rumi asked

Lloyd took a second to respond and finally did with, "I had Ninjago's greatest villain as my dad It was an... unusual relationship. But as much as we fought I still miss him... a little to the right." Lloyd said

"I'd do anything to see my parents again..." Rumi said

"I don't blame you, but if they bring my father back the thing that scares me the most is..." Lloyd said

"He won't be the man you recognize?" Rumi said for him.

Lloyd just turned and nodded, as Rumi said, "He wasn't the greatest villain."

"oh no? You probably grew up thinking it's Moro or The Devourer, Don't tell me. Pyhtor." Lloyd said smirking

"No. It's the one you never even knew was there in the first place, the one that gets away." Rumi said

"The Quiet One." Lloyd said and then went back checking the water.

Misty was worried about the others, she hoped they were okay.

Rumi was singing that sort of creepy song of hers.

When all of a sudden, Lloyd said, "Stop the Boat."

Rumi immediately cut the engine and the boat stopped. Lloyd bent over the side and looked into the water and said, "There's definitely rocks in the water, we need to find-" He started to say but stopped when the pole he was holding was yanked from his grip. "What the heck? That's definitely not a rock!"

"We're not alone!" Lloyd warned

The boat began rocking and Lloyd tumbled backward.

"what was that?!" Rumi shouted

"I'm thinking what the earlier expedition ran into! Start the engine, Go, go!" Lloyd shouted and he got to his feet and turned around just in time to see a monster swim in front of the boat."hurry!"

Rumi started the boat and put it full throttle.

Lloyd and Misty ran to the back of the boat and could see the shape in the water following them.

"What is it?!" Rumi shouted

"Whatever it is it's gaining on us is this as fast as it can go?" Lloyd shouted

"It won't go any faster." Rumi said

The monster jumped and just barely missed the boat. Rumi screamed

"W need to lighten the load!" Lloyd said him and Misty threw boxes off board but the monster swam under the boat, Lloyd and Misty ran to the front and Lloyd looked over the side just as the monsters claw came up and destroyed the front of the boat." What do we do?" Rumi shouted now they were just floating around. The monster jumped up again and destroyed the back motor. All of them stayed silent and Misty watched as a claw rose about the water, and Lloyd took out his sword as the claw came down but the claw broke the sword.

The Monster then came up in front of them Rumi screamed, and Misty prepared to fight but then the monster all of a sudden ran away.

"Why did it stop?" Rumi asked

"I don't know it's like something kind of scared him off, when have to get to shore." Lloyd said

Rumi walked to the back of the boat and said, "The current is pulling us away."

"What current?" Lloyd said

The current was getting stronger, all of them ran to the front of the boat, and Lloyd said, "We need to go the other way!"

"The other way? That thing is back there!" Rumi shouted

"Reverse! Reverse!" Lloyd shouted

Rumi tried but it didn't work and she shouted to Lloyd.

"Grab on to something now!" Lloyd shouted

And he ran back to Rumi and tried to tie them both down with rope, as they approached a water fall.

"Misty use your element! Try to block the boat from going over the falls!" Lloyd shouted

"Lloyd your asking me to do the impossible!" Misty shouted back

"Just do something useful for once Misty!" Lloyd shouted back

And they went over the falls.
