~The Dungeons~

In the dungeons, the Geckles and the Munce were mining under the supervision of the Re-Awakened. Meanwhile, the ninja were helpless to do anything about it and watched from inside their vengestone cage. That was hanging high above the ground.

"Ugh!" Nya cried out as she pulled at the bars of the cage even kicking it.

"Save your strength, Sis. It's Vengestone." Kai said

"Ugh!" Nya cried out in frustration and said, "The Munce had faith in me, and now look at them. Right back where they were. In chains." She slumped down sitting beside her brother on the ground, "I can't believe we were gullible enough to trust the Skull Sorcerer,"

"Yep. I'm probably going down as the worst Chancellor in Geckle history," Kai agreed

"I do not see that we had any choice," Zane reasoned

"Zane's right. If we hadn't surrendered, he would have destroyed all of them," Jay pointed out.

"At least they're still alive. There's still hope," Lloyd added

"Hahaha. That's the spirit, but unfortunately, there is no hope. I have decided a demonstration is needed to show my true power over this mountain," The Skull Sorcerer said as he used his wings to fly up to the cage and gloated at his captured audience.

"What kind of demonstration?" Kai asked narrowing his eyes as he approached the cage bars.

"For too long, the Geckles and Munce have resisted my rule. But when they witness your destruction..." The Skull Sorcerer said as he slowly flew around the cage.

"Destruction!" The Skull chanted in his raspy voice.

"When all hope is lost..." The Skull Sorcerer finished

"Lost."

"They will submit," He finished the ninja could tell he was grinning under his mask.

"What are you gonna do to us?" Jay asked clutching the bars of the cage.

"You'll perish at the talons of Grief-Bringer," The Sorcerer announced

"Grief-Bringer!" The Skull repeated as always

"Okay, that's getting annoying," Nya muttered her brows furrowed

"Yeah, I don't know who to look at, you or the skull," Kai chuckled

"I'm looking at the skull, it's not as ugly. Hahaha!" Jay said smirking. Both Kai and Jay laughed at the jab.

"Silence!" The Skull Sorcerer roared and added, "Enjoy your final moments of levity,"

"They will be your last," The Skull added before flying after the Skull Sorcerer as he started to depart.

"Aren't you forgetting one thing? Cole and Misty, They're still out there, and if I know them, by now, they've found King Vangelis and told him everything. They're probably on their way to stop you right now!" Lloyd shouted after him gripping the bars of the cage

"Oh, that's right. You don't know," The Skull Sorcerer said and he turned around and transformed back into Vangelis laughing.

"You?" Lloyd cried

"Vangelis?" Nya shouted in disbelief

"Your friends did come to me. And I cast them into the bowels of the mountain. Them and that old fool, Wu." He then turned back into the Skull Sorcerer.

Lloyd gritted his teeth and said, "You're not the first to think so. But both of them have a way of popping up when you least expect it,"

~Cole, Misty, and the Upply~

The Upply were spying on everything from behind some rocks, "Look, the Skull Sorcerer," Plundar said

"Tis' unfortunate we cannot hear what he says," Fungus said

"You're not missing much. Once you've heard one of those villain speeches, you've heard them all. He's just saying "Blah blah, my evil plan, blah blah, no one's gonna save you." Cole said sounding bored.

Meanwhile, the skull sorcerer was taunting the Ninja and said, "No one is coming to save you. Have the courage to accept your fate,"

"Just tell me one thing. The Blades of Deliverance. It was you who stole them, wasn't it?" Lloyd said as the Skull Sorcerer landed on a ledge.

"You mean ... these?" The Sorcerer said and two awakened Warriors raised the blades. One with a blade of pure white another a blade of ebony.

Cole gasped and said "Those belonged to my mother," he snarled under his breath and started emerging from their hiding spot, but Plundar and Misty pulled him back down.

"Are you crazy? Get down!" Plundar hissed

"Cole, be careful he'll see you," Misty said gently she was holding onto his arm tightly. He could feel her long hair brushing against his shoulders and arm. As she held tightly to him, her eyes were glued to the ninja in the cage suspended above the ground.

"So you did steal them," Lloyd said his brows furrowed as he glared at the villain.

"It was no great task. The Geckles and Munce are simple creatures. Easy to deceive. And I knew they would blame each other," The Skull Sorcerer gloated as he flapped his wings and rose a few feet into the air.

"Making them easier to divide and conquer," Zane said furiously narrowing his bright blue eyes.

"Now you know. May the knowledge bring you some peace in your final moments," The winged devil gloated and he flew away.

"This is our chance," Cole said

"What's the plan?" Plundar asked

"Fungus, you and Korgran get down there and see if you can free the Geckles and Munce. Get 'em loose and wait for my signal. Plundar, Adam, Misty you're with me," Cole said

"Where are we going?" Plundar asked

"After those blades. If we can get those, we just might have a chance," Cole explained

Korgran defeated an awakened Warrior and Murt grunted, "Who you?"

"We are here to free you," Fungus said and Korgran tossed them a key.

"Oh," Murt said and Murtessa grabbed the key from the ground, as Fungus whispered, "Pass the word! Wait for the signal!"

~Cole, Misty, Plundar, and Adam~

Two Awakened Warriors were carrying the blades to a vault.

"Did he really just bring them out of the vault to gloat? Amateur mistake," Misty whispered

"Would you have done it differently?" Cole whispered raising an eyebrow.

"Please, if I was a villain you guys would be screwed. You better hope I never have my evil arch. After all, I've observed what's worked and what hasn't," Misty muttered out of the corner of her mouth.

"Noted," Cole mumbled as they followed the skeletons in secret, and watched them pull a torch causing a secret door in the ground to open up.

As the skeletons were busy they crept up on them and Cole said, "Excuse me," He and Plundar punched the Warriors into the vault. Cole caught the blades and said, "I'll take those, Thanks," Misty pulled the lever and shut the vault door locking the skeletons away.

"What now?" Plundar asked

"Get to the cages, and see if you can get my friends out," Cole said

"What about you?" Plundar asked

Cole grabbed a golden shield and pulled up his hood, "I'm gonna have a word with the guy who chucked me down a mountain,"

"You'll give him an extra punch for me right?" Misty smirked

"But, of course," Cole chuckled with a wink.

"It is time!" The Skull Sorcerer shouted to a sleeping Awakened Warrior, "Sound the gong." The Awakened Warrior continued sleeping however not hearing him, "Sound the gong!" The Skull of Hazza D'ur then blasted the Warrior, who woke up and quickly looked startled and did so. The Munce and Geckles looked up

"Is that signal?" Korgran grunted

"No, not yet. Just be ready," Fungus said

"Hear me, Geckles and Munce! Hear and bear witness to the power that is mine! Look upon those who defied me. Look upon those in whom you placed your trust, and watch as they come to their end! Release Grief-Bringer!" The Skull Sorcerer shouted gesturing to the cage he flapped around, and in his hand, he wielded a weapon.

"Is that signal?" Korgran asked again

"No. Not yet," Fungus said

Someone threw a rock at a Warrior, causing the cage door of Grief-Bringer to close with a slam the dragon roared inside with rage. Cole, dressed in his Hero suit, landed on a cage in front of the Skull Sorcerer.

"Who dares?" The Skull Sorcerer roared

"I'll give you three guesses," Cole smirked and he lunged at the sorcerer clashing the swords against the villain's weapon the blades clashed and the sound of metal rang through the cavern.

"You!" The Sorcerer roared

"Yes!" Jya cried

"Cole!" Zane shouted

"I knew it!" Nya screamed as she jumped on Jay to get a look. The Ninja jockeyed for a good view of their friend.

"Kick his butt, Cole!" Kai cheered as he pushed his way to the front of the cage.

Cole traded blows with the winged sorcerer kicking him in the back and jumping clear of his return strike.

"Now?" Korgran asked

"Yes, Korgran. Now!" Fungus shouted

"That's signal!" Korgran shouted as he jumped from behind a cart he and Fungus had been hiding behind, The Geckles and Munce took off their chains at his signal.

"Munce and Geckle, strong together!" Murtessa said

"Sung-ho! " Gluch agreed and they all charged at the Awakened Warriors.

"Korgran," Fungus shouted

"It's impossible. I cast you into the bowels of the mountain!" The Skull Sorcerer roared

"You tried. And failed. And this time, I'm ready for you!" Cole shouted as he readied the blades.

Lloyd pulled at the bars of the cage, and shouted, "Cole, get us out of here!"

"Open the cages! We can help!" Nya cried

Adam appeared near Jay, scaring him. "Aah!" Jay screamed

"I'm on it," Plundar said holding up a lock pick.

"Who are you?" Nya asked

"Plundar's the name. One of the Lowly. Except I think we're the "Upply" now," Plundar said as he picked the lock.

"Um, the who?" Jay asked

"We're in Cole's crew," Plundar explained

"Cole's got a ... crew?" Kai asked confused

Misty was on Adam's back and she lightly landed on the roof of the cage sliding down the bars. "It's a long story," she said chuckling and smiling at her friends with a sheepish smile.

"Misty!" Lloyd said his voice sounded relieved, and he hurried to the bars of the cage, gripping them tightly. He seemed to want to be closer to her even if there were still bars between them.

Misty gave him a lopsided smile, "I'm glad to see all of you are okay,"

"Misty- I..." Lloyd started to say but was cut off. As they heard the sound of clashing metal, Misty looked back at Cole and winced as she watched. Cole gets knocked backward and sent tumbling across the ground.

"You have returned to your doom! You will join your pitiful friends and..." The Skull Sorcerer shouted as he flew closer to Cole who was still recovering on his knees.

"And perish with them!" The Sull added.

"Aw, that's cute! He's like your little pet skull!" Cole said as he used one of the swords to support himself as he got back to his feet and lunged at the Sorcerer.

Plundar got the door open and the Ninja jumped out and shouted "Ninja, go!" As they landed and pulled up their hoods. They landed and joined the fight on the ground dispatching the re-awakened. With kicks, punches, and flips.

"Need some help?" Jay shouted to Murtessa.

"Hi, my sweet Jay," Murtessa said waving at Jay with a smile.

"Hehe," Let out a nervous laugh as he looked at Nya who was beside him, anyone could tell that she had a disapproving look on her face even with her mask on.

Soon they were surrounded. Misty was beside Lloyd. She had her fist up ready, "This is going to hurt," she sighed

"I-I missed you...you know," Lloyd said softly glancing at her in the corner of his vision. Misty had a feeling that he meant much more than just their time apart in the mountain. At the moment she didn't have time to give it much thought and part of her even refused to.

Cole's blades clashed against his sparks flew from the metal. They traded blows neither one willing to back down. The Skull got behind Cole in his blind spot and blasted him. Causing him to drop his blade. He resorted to his shield blocking another blast, while also using it to help him recover his weapon.

He spun around and slashed the blades forcing the two to back off a little giving him more space to work with.

"You cannot win! I'm stronger than you, more powerful!" The Skull Sorcerer roared as he slashed his blade nearly striking him several times.

"Maybe! But I've got these!" Cole shouted knocking his blows aside and then leveling his mother's blades at the sorcerer.

"Your faith is misplaced!" He roared and Grief-Bringer escaped his cage by melting the bars with his fire, as the Sorcerer sneered, "The blades are nothing!"

"They are powerless!" The skull repeated and blasted Cole with projectiles

"I studied them! There is no magic in them!" The Skull Sorcerer snarled

"Nice try! But these defeated Grief-Bringer. So I'm betting they can defeat you!" Cole shouted he was at the edge of the stone bridge but refused to back down.

"If that is what you think, you will be sorely disappointed!" The Skull Sorcerer sneered

"And you talk too much," Cole countered and he rushed the Sorcerer leaping into the air. The Sorcerer met him in the air their blades clashing once again. The Sound echoed off the cavern walls.
