Lloyd entered the mobile base and remained noticeably silent. They arrived at the Explorers Club. And exited the vehicle meeting Zane out on the street. They then kicked open the door to the building and gasped at what they saw inside. It looked to be a beautiful antique home. They heard someone clear their throat and they turned to see standing behind a desk a stately-looking gentleman with gray hair, bread, and spectacles staring at them. He was dressed in a brown tweed jacket with a vest and bowtie and was holding a teacup in his hand.

Lloyd stepped up to the desk and said, "This is an emergency. We need one of the items in your collection."

Zane pushed ahead of Lloyd and said, "The second scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu."

"The one Clutch Powers gave you!" Nya said

"If you haven't noticed the city was burning and being attacked so if you could hurry up that would be dandy!" Misty added.

The man let out a groan as if he was being inconvenienced but he placed his teacup down and he pulled out a dusty leather-bound book from underneath the counter. He dusted it off and said, "Let's us see," He opened the book and began to read off several names, "Scroll of Confusion, Scroll of Dancing Monkeys, Ah, here. Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu. Yes, that particular artifact has indeed been deposited in our archive." He spoke with a British accent and in a posh tone.

"Great. We need it, fast." Lloyd said

"Of course, sir. I just need to see your membership card." The man said and he held out his hand toward Lloyd. Lloyd waved both his hands and said quickly, "No, we're not members, we just..."

The man didn't let him finish and he grabbed the book and said, "It pains me deeply to inform you that access to club archives is for members only." He slammed the book shut.

Zane sighed and said, "This is an emergency! The fate of all Ninjago is at stake!"

"Oh. Is it? Oh, dear." The mean replied although he didn't sound that concerned at all.

"So, we can have the scroll?" Nya asked hopefully

"Oh my, no! Rules are rules, after all! Where would society be without them? Hmm? We can't have anarchy, can we?" Cecil said and he walked out from behind the desk and started forcing the ninja to shuffle backward and toward the open door.

"Well, um... Can we join the club then?" Lloyd said quickly

"Hm. Of course. Once you reach 10,000 hours of certified exploration, notify us, and we shall begin the multi-year process of examining your applications." Cecil said and he then slammed the door in the ninja's faces.

"I really, really don't like him," Misty muttered.

"Did that just happen?" Lloyd said in disbelief.

"I wish I could tell you that you were imagining it," Misty muttered her right eye started to twitch.

"Oh, that makes me mad! I'm going right back in there and giving that little pencil pusher a piece of my mind!" Nya shouted and started storming toward the door.

Zane intercepted Nya and said, "We do not have time for this. May I suggest another tactic?"

"What tactic?" Nya asked her eyes narrowed displeased that her warpath had been halted.

Right before their eyes, Zane transformed himself into Clutch Powers, and with a smirk answered in his voice, "Deception."

"Hey, that's pretty good. You look just like Clutch." Lloyd said impressed

Zane entered the building and Nya, Lloyd and Misty stayed outside. They talked together until Zane exited the building he changed back into himself and look defeated.

"What happened?" Lloyd asked and he, Nay, and Misty walked over to Zane

"Apparently, Clutch Powers' membership has been suspended," Zane explained

"That's it! I'm done with that pencil pusher! You know what time it is? It's ninja o'clock!" Nya shouted and she scaled the building and got onto the roof with ease. Zane, Lloyd, and Misty followed her.

They walked over to a vent with a spinning fan, Lloyd stopped the fan with his sword and Zane froze it in place with some ice. "Okay, that looks safe..." Lloyd said smiling the fan creaked and Lloyd smiled sheepishly and said, "Enough," Nya then used a grappling hook and threw it at the smokestacks. And then lowered the rope into the vent.

"We go stealth here. No weapons." Lloyd instructed.

The ninja left their weapons on the roof and descended into the vent, Nya going first followed by Zane, Misty, and Lloyd. As they got closer they heard voices and stopped. Misty heard the fan creak and looked up to hear Lloyd hiss, "Guys, problem!"

The sword fell as the ice melted and the fan started moving again slicing the rope the three ninjas screamed as they fell down the vent. They crashed through a vent and into the room smashing a table under them. They were surrounded by explorers and even knocked a few down. All of them had gray hair.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" One of them shouted

"Uh, sorry, we're, umm..." Nya said

"Working on the air conditioning?" Lloyd finished he was smiling an embarrassed smile there was clattering and Misty looked up to see Lloyd's sword fall into the room and right into Lloyd's hand.

"Security!" One of the men shouted

The door bursts open and Cecil and three security guards rushed in.

Cecil shouted, "You again!" once he saw the ninja.

"Run!" Lloyd ordered and the ninjas scrambled to their feet and ran through another door. Slamming it shut behind them, Zane used ice to freeze the doorknob.

"What a mess." He muttered

"So much for stealthy Misty," added with a sigh.

"This must be where they store all the ancient relics!" Lloyd said as he looked around the room it was filled with crates and strange artifacts.

"Which means the Scroll of Forbidden Spinjitzu must be in here! Come on, spread out, let's find it." Nya said

Zane looked at some scroll, and Misty tapped Lloyd on the shoulder and pointed to a chicken in a box, and said, "Look it looks like my pet back home!" Lloyd gasped as he saw the chicken. In his shock, he stumbled backward and knocked over the bronze item that had several holes. It crashed to the floor.

"Lloyd, careful! That could have been dangerous." Nya scolded.

"It's just some weird chest with a mouth— Whoa!" Lloyd shouted as the strange object began to create several vortexes and suck everything that wasn't nailed down toward it.

"What is that thing? It's horrible!" Nya shouted The ninja were struggling to brace themselves to keep from being sucked into the vortexes.

"It appears to be a chest vortex of the ancient Sybex Tribe!" Zane shouted

"You say that like it's not weird!" Lloyd shouted back, just then the cube that held the chicken fell and Lloyd caught the box. The chicken was sucked into the vortex and Lloyd used the cube the chicken had previously been in to stop the vortex.

"Yes, I'll be more careful. But don't pretend you had any idea what that thing could do, either." Lloyd said

Misty was looking around the room when she hears Nya say, "What? What is this?" She walks over to find Nya and Lloyd standing in front of a mirror.

"It's some kind of weird mirror," Lloyd said and Misty saw his reflection was that of his father and it followed Lloyd's every movement.

Lloyd moved aside as Nya gazed at herself in the mirror and she gasped as she saw herself as a civilian.

"But why?" Nya cried

"It seems to show us our greatest fears," Lloyd said

They were distracted by the sound of something scuttling on the floor but soon turned their attention back to the mirror.

"How do you know?" Nya asked

"Because when I look at it, I see myself becoming my father," Lloyd said and then he walked away.

"I see myself normal, like I never achieved my True Potential," Nya whispered

Zane gasped and said, "No. I see— I see myself, but without any humanity. Only a machine."

"It's okay. Whatever you see, ignore it. It's not real." Lloyd said

Misty gazed at her reflection a girl with glowing purple eyes horns and wings gazed back at her, and she said, "It looks pretty real to me..." She look down at her hands and saw they had transformed into claws. Lloyd gently placed his hand on Misty's shoulder to comfort her. Nya then screamed a mummy's hand had crawled onto her head and she flung it at Lloyd's face. Who then flung it at Zane. Zane threw the hand and they ran to the other door, just as Cecil and the guards arrived.

"There they are! Stop, thieves! This is getting tiresome!" Cecil shouted

Zane froze the knob with ice. The room was filled with glass tanks and jars. It looked like the room had been collecting dust for years.

"We must be in the entomology room," Zane said

"The what?" Lloyd asked

"Insects, from all over Ninjago," Zane explained

"Come on, we don't have much time. And Lloyd, don't knock anything—" Nya said but she accidentally ran into a crate and knocked over the jar that was on the crate it shattered, and the room was then filled with many buzzing insects.

"Okay, I did that," Nya said sheepishly.

"Interesting. Venomasicus Tigrus, tiger wasps." Zane said as one landed on his hand and he added, "Their sting's the second most painful in the world-"

Lloyd let out a scream as one of them stung him and he shouted, "RUN!"

The ninjas attempted to run away from the wasps but were blocked by Cecil and the guards, who had got in.

"Subdue these malefactors!" Cecil shouted. The wasps then attacked the four. But Cecil dodged them by rolling out of the way and had a blowpipe in his hand.

"I will place a proper kibosh on this charade! For the empire!" He shouted and he blew the dark it bounced off of Zane's forehead and then bounced the ceiling, then the wall then smashed a hole into a glass case next to where Misty was standing.

"Oh, fie!" Cecil shouted

Misty looked into the case and saw hundreds of black spiders scuttling toward the hole. "Oh, that is a huge no!" Misty shrieked and she jumped toward Zane who somehow managed to catch her in his arms.

"What are those?" Lloyd asked

"Vastodectrus Venemous, the number one most painful sting in the world," Zane explained

Nya ran toward the other door leading to the next treasure room and shouted "In here! We need to regroup!"

Lloyd jumped over the shelf and Zane tossed Misty over it before following.

"Sorry, guys!" Lloyd called into the room before shutting the door closing Cecil and the guards in the room. Zane froze the doorknob as well.

"Hey, look!" Nya shouted there was the spear and wrapped around it was the scroll.

"That's it!" Lloyd shouted and ran toward the scroll but was stopped by Zane before he could grab it.

"No! It's too dangerous for someone to touch with their bare hands!" Zane said

They found a banner and wrapped it around the spear they placed their hoods on, and burst through the doors of the club

"Come on, let's get back to the monastery!" Nya shouted

They entered their vehicles and took off down the street.
