Cole, Kai, Lloyd, Misty, and Nya were still taking in the view that was Terra Technica a cyberpunk dream.

"Whoa. This place is amazing!" Cole chuckled as he gazed at all the neon lights and storefronts and booths. They walked down the busy street in awe as they watched avatars buying everything from food to weapons. "Where should we start? Maybe find a way to customize our avatars? We can upgrade our look!" he added excitedly. He sounded like an enthusiastic child and his eyes gleamed with joy and excitement.

"Cole, I know this Prime Empire place is like video game paradise for you, but our mission is to find Jay, not to get designer clothes." Nya scolded him

"Uh, guys, that mission just got a bit more complicated!" Lloyd said and he stepped in front of the others protectively as they saw residents in the area scattering in a rush. They seemed terrified of something approaching.

Misty peeked over Lloyd's shoulder and saw a usual-looking avatar, wearing a red helmet and visor that displayed a red triangle on it. It was marching toward them and Misty's eyes widened as she saw the one avatar split into three and then more. On the right side of their chest was the number 404. Everyone that was once in the busy street had scattered even the all shops closed, no one is left except for the Red Visors and the ninja.

"Maybe this isn't as bad as it looks. Some games have tutorial assistants who meet new players and teach them how the game works." Cole offered hopefully

But then the Red Visors raised their weapons which appeared to be cybernetic guns and said in a robotic voice Eliminate the enemies of Unagami!

"And, nope," Misty muttered with a sigh.

Kai winced and said, "It's as bad as it looks." The Red Visors then fired their weapons and the ninja dodge them.

"Time to go Spinjitzu on these digital creeps. Ninja, go!" Lloyd shouted, they tried to leap into the air only for... Nya fell flat face on the ground, Lloyd landed on his feet, and crouched, Cole flipped onto the ground, and Kai did a slow spin. Misty's landed only for her foot to slip and she fell to the ground.

"Whoa, whoa!" Kai cried out he continued spinning and crashed into a trash can with a clanging. The Red Visors stopped and look at each other, confusion on their face.

"Uh... Does anyone know what just happened?" Nya asked as she sat up on her knees. Misty rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. Lloyd and Cole shrugged as Nya added, "Or didn't happen?"

Kai was still trying to do Spinjitzu, spinning around and he cried out, "Ugh. Come on, Spinjitzu! Come on!" Cole caught him. The Red Visors went back to shooting.

"New plan. Elemental Powers! Go!" They strained to release their powers, but nothing happened Kai sighed exhaustedly.

"Seriously?" Nya cried out and they jump away and ran off to hide as the Red Visors continue shooting at them.

"What's going on?" Nya shouted

"Not again! Awh! Can't I go, like, two seconds without losing my elemental powers?!" Kai cried in frustration, as he stood by his sister.

Misty looked down at her hands, and while she would never admit it out loud especially now, part of her was revealed that she didn't have her elemental powers. At least she didn't have to worry about not being able to control them. She looked at her friends though and saw how distressed they were and her heart sank. They needed their elemental powers if they were going to have the best chance at defeating Unagami. Misty was standing near Lloyd and Cole.

"Fight now and figure it out later!" Lloyd ordered they jumped out from hiding.

Kai then punched straight into a Red Visor's chest. only to cry out, "Hunh-unh." He immediately grabbed his hand, wincing at the pain. "Ahh!"

Cole leaped at another Red Visor, but the Visor turned away and watched him fly by into a pile of hats. "Wha-ahh!" Cole cried out

Lloyd continued punching and kicking the Visor he was facing, but it had zero effect on them. Panting he said, "I don't get it. I feel weak and slow!" The Visor then grabbed his hand. "Huh?" and The Visor punched him across the path before Lloyd finished his kick.

Misty tried landing a kick on one of the Visors only for it to catch her foot and then fling her against the wall. She rolled to the side as it tried to punch her, barely missing being struck.

Nya backflipped, and said, "Ha-unh! It's like our hard-earned ninja skills have been deleted or—Whoa!" The Visor facing her punched her to the ground and aimed its gun at her. Nya held her hand over her face and looked away. Just as it seemed like all was lost, suddenly Jay leaped in, landing a blow on the Visor. The laser from the gun missed Nya and She throws off her hood and cried out, "Jay?"

"Hey, Nya, finding Jay isn't gonna be as hard as we thought. Look!" Cole shouted, they saw Jay sweeping a Red Visor's feet up and punching them across the chest. However, this Jay was dressed in a different set of robes. It was the same robes they had worn when the Sons of Garmadon had threatened Ninjago.

"How did he get over there?" Nya asked

"Guys! Jay's here!" Kai shouted and they see Jay punching a Visor, back flipping and kicking the Visor, only to then deliver a side kick to finish it off. He was clad in the robes they had donned during the tournament of elements.

Cole and Kai throw off their hoods. "Whoa. Does he have teleportation powers in this game or—" Cole started to say but stopped when they heard Lloyd cry out.

"Gah!" They saw Lloyd fall to the ground he had tried to take on a Visor that had Misty cornered and it turned on Lloyd in turn, Jay leaped in with a flying kick and jumping at the last Visor. Destroying it leaving only its helmet. Cole, Kai, and Nya ran up to Lloyd as Misty was pulling him to his feet and they looked up to see four Jays approaching them.

"Friends of Jay... welcome!" One of the Jays said he was the one dressed in the current style of robes Jay should have been wearing.

Lloyd threw off his hood and scratched his head and said, "Which of you is the real Jay?"

Misty also lowered her hood and started dumbfounded at the multiple copies of her friend that stood before her.

"The "real" Jay is in the hearts of all who live by his word." BetaJay137 said calmly and then bowed the three other Jays answered simultaneously, "Jay's will be done, In Jay we trust,"

"We are from "The League of Jay," BetaJay137 explained

"Jay started a cult... Uh, weird I swore it would have been Kai to have been more likely to do so..." Misty muttered under her breath.

"Oh! You're all players, and you've chosen to play as avatars of Jay," Cole said

"Uh, we're talking about Jay? Right? Like, our Jay?" Kai asked and he elbowed Misty and shot her a glare hearing what she had muttered. They then saw three of Unagami's aerial dronesscanning the ground below.

"Hurry! Come with us if you want to keep playing." BetaJay137 said and they watched as the four Jays jump over a building with ease.

"I guess we don't have a choice." Lloyd said and the rest of the ninjas watched as he ran up to the building and jumped, "Ha-unh!" only for him to face plant into the building halfway up before sliding back down to the ground. "Ah. Uh, how did—What did just—huh?" Lloyd stammered

Misty and Cole ran up beside where Lloyd now lay and Misty bent down and yanked Lloyd to his feet and said, "I'm so glad we let you go first,"

"Hmm...Maybe you have to double-jump. Like in other video games, to reach really tall places. Watch. Jump! Double-jump!" and Cole double-jumped up the building successfully. It appeared he had simply jumped on nothing but thin air.

"That makes no sense!" Kai shouted but they didn't have time to argue as they saw the Red Drones approaching closer.

Nya Gasped and grabbed Kai's hand and cried, "Go with it!" The Drones saw them and started shooting at them as they double jump the building. "Wow! I just jumped on air." Nya marveled and she gazed at her hands in awe.

"Hurry! The great Jay wills it so!" BetaJay137 shouted and they run and jumped over buildings.

"I don't get it," Lloyd said and he ducked his head, panting and managed to squeak out, "I run all the time, but I'm already... getting... tired."

Misty was struggling to keep up herself and was starting to fall behind. Lloyd grabbed her hand and yanked her forward when he noticed her declining in speed.

"Of course, you're getting tired. You're a noob. Your stamina stats are probably quite low," BetaJay137 said matter-of-factly.

"Wait. Are you saying the reason we don't have our powers is because—" Cole started to say

"You haven't bought any skills yet. Here. See my skill tree." BetaJay147 said and he pressed a button on his chest a yellow screen appeared in front of him and it moved along with him as he ran, and he continued to explain with ease without being winded in the slightest, "See? I have Level 48 stamina." He then switched the screen and said, "And I have enough experience points to buy another skill. Here," He purchased the skill, and afterward, he shouted "Super-back-flip-flying-kick." He back fliped, taking out two drones, at once.

"Seriously? It took me months to learn that move in the real world. But in here you just "buy another skill?" Not fair!" Nya screamed she sounded rightfully angry they came to a stop as four Red Drones appeared in front of them and three more behind them. They were surrounded.

"There may come a day when the courage of Jays fails... but this is not that day!" BetaJay137 said

The Jays then shouted "Jay-Ja... go!" and the four Jays took out many Drones with their Katanas Katanas and skills. The ninja decided to hop into the fight. Cole sloppily punched a Drone. Nya repeatedly missed delivering hits on her own Drone. Kai jumped onto a Drone and tried to punch out the laser source. The Drone fired and Kai is thrown down the building.

"Wha-ahh!" Kai screamed as he disappeared below.

"Kai!" Lloyd cried and He punched the building and mourned the loss of his friend. Kai immediately reappeared beside him.

Kai Looked around "I-I'm alive?" He patted himself, and cried, "How am I alive?" Lloyd meanwhile rubbed his eyes. and said I just-I—Oh, duh!" Lloyd scratched his head as Kai shouted, "Video game! I just re-spawned. Ha! None of this is real!"

"It feels real!" Lloyd shouted as He ran off with a Drone chasing him.

Misty had backed up to the very edge of the roof and the drone in front of her fired at her, she braced herself and felt a body slam into her knocking her to the side. Lloyd had managed to save her, behind them Jay took out the drone that had fried at her.

"Thanks again," Misty said softly looking up at Lloyd.

Lloyd quickly got off of her and also yanked her to her feet and he said, "Thank me later, Kai found out we have multiple lives but I think it's best if we save them,"

"We have multiple lives?" Misty asked they stood back to back, ready to face off against the drones.

And Lloyd nodded and said, "Yeah, Kai just used one, and he respawned.

"How many do you think we have?" Misty asked

"I don't know but I wouldn't count on too many,"

"Makes sense this is the game that came from the same mind as the crazy dangerous security system. The most creative people have the most twisted minds, I swear..." she muttered under her breath.

Lloyd raised an eyebrow and said, "Don't you consider yourself a creative person?"

Misty smirked at him and said, "I never said I wasn't counting myself,"

Nya was backing up from a Drone when BetaJay137 jumped in and destroys it, and he said, "We will draw them away. Follow the streets to the northwest for 13 blocks. There you will find one of our allies waiting. He struck out another Drone, and said "Give him the password, "Mister Cuddlywomp" and he will bring you to Superstar Rockin' Jay. Now fly!"

"I understand... kind of," Nya said her tone of slight confusion.

"Hmm, I can see why you are beloved to him," BetaJay137 said Nya stared at him raising an eyebrow, as the Jays ran off, leading the Drones away. The rest of the ninjas jump down into an alley.

"The Jays said we need to go to—" Nya started to say but they immediately paused when they saw three Red Visors ahead. Nya gasped and said, "Hide!" They leaped behind a few boxes, except for Kai, who boldly stood unhidden. "Kai! Hide!" Nya hissed

"Why? This is a game. If they blast us, we just come back. Here, I'll distract, you get around behind them." Kai said grinning they watched him, uneasily, as he approached the Visors. "Hey, guys! You know who's totally lame? Unagami, that's who!" He shouted the Red Visors cringed at the sound of the name.

"The enemies of Unagami must pay!" They raised their weapons and fired at him, and chased him down the alley. Kai stopped.

"Whoo—" Kai shouted and he died happily Cole, Lloyd, Misty, and Nya got around behind the Visors, placed tires on them, and rolled them away. Kai respawns beside them and said, "See? "Re-spawn" is my new favorite word. Whoo-hoo!"

"Uh, I don't know if that's really smart. In games-" Cole started to say but was cut off by Kai who snapped and Shrugged him off saying, "Whatever, Cole. You're just annoyed that as the team's gaming guru, you weren't the one who figured this out!" and he marched away, proud of himself, while Cole watched him suspicious of his actions. "Huh!" he said skeptically.

"That's really going to bite him in the butt later isn't it," Misty said raising an eyebrow as she stared after Kai.

Cole ruffled her hair and chuckled despite himself.

"Come on, guys," Lloyd said

"This is where they told us to meet. Only... there's no garage." Nya said as they saw what appeared to be an empty lot.

"Why send us to an empty lot?" Lloyd muttered

"I told you. They're wackos! Anyone who likes Jay that much can't be normal." Kai said

"Freeze," a voice ordered and they saw they saw a man holding a laser gun at them. He had a bandana covering his mouth and he said, "Talk. Before Mister Ginormous here does the talking."

"Um, shoot, what was it? Mister Snugglewomp? Fuddlewimp? No, no Fud-Fud—Argh! Buddygump?" Cole muttered frantically.

"Mister Cuddlywomp." Nya said without hesitation

The man sighed "The League sent you, huh? Let me guess. You're here to see Superstar Rockin' Jay?" the man lowered his bandana The ninja nodded and the man said, "Come on. Before someone sees us." They exchanged confused looks and watch as the man entered in a hidden garage.

"A cloaked hideout?" Nya said and the doors shut behind them. "Awesome!" she added

"Name's Scott. I'm a mechanic. My garage is hidden by a Level 999 Stealth Barrier. Those Red Visors can't see it." he scoffed and added, "Even Unagami can't."

"What are you hiding from?" Nya asked

"The Red Visors want me to compete in the Speedway Five-Billon. Like everyone else. But I'm smarter. No thanks. And the League of Jays keep my secret, so I help them rebuild their vehicles and weapons and stuff." Scott explained

"Hm. What's this?" Kai asked

"Don't touch that, it's—" Scott never got to finish his sentence as they watched tools fly and Kai pressed the button and he poofed "Dangerous..." Scott finished.

He reappeared next to Scott and grabbed him and laughed and said, "Huh. I love this infinite-lives-thing!"

He pushes his arm back. and said, "Infinite? Who told you that?" He pressed Kai's heart and his Health board appeared over him and it showed Kai only had one score left, as Scott said, "You get four lives in Prime Empire. And looks like you've used three."

Kai gasped and said, "What? What? Why didn't anyone tell me this?"

"I tried, but you wouldn't listen," Cole said

"Oh, sure, blame the victim!" Cole, Misty, Lloyd, and Nya look at each other and brought up their health boards. "So, wait, what happens if I lose this last one?" Kai asked he sounded terrified.

"You don't want to know. It's horrible. Why do you think I won't race in the Speedway?" He brought up his health board. and said, "I only have one life left myself." He pushed aside a few boxes and pressed a button and said, "Anyway. If you seek Superstar Rockin' Jay, this is the way," They followed him through a tunnel.

"We're supposed to trust a complete stranger and go into a dangerous-looking dark hole?" Cole said they made their way through and gaze out at the sight of many players dressed up as different versions of Jay.

"I... I can't believe this. Are we in a nightmare?" Kai asked

"No this is a cult," Misty muttered

"Why do you sound as if you're not surprised," Lloyd asked

"We'll Kai almost joined one during the Tournament of Elements and technically the Sons of Garmadon also classifies as a cult," Misty said

BetaJay137 stood on a stage and said, "Attention League of Jay," but No one paid attention and he turned up his volume. Until It echoed across the room. "Attention League of Jay! It is time for the arrival of our hero, our inspiration, and the reason for our very existence... Superstar Rockin' Jay himself! The ninja gaze in astonishment at the sight of Jay rising to the stage from below, strumming a guitar. He looked different and was dressed in different clothes. Jay had light blue skin and yellow eyes and was wearing an open-chest rock star shirt that had neon yellow glowing accents to it. His hair was slightly tussled and was silvery light blue. Jay handed over his guitar to BetaJay137.

"Aww," Jay said and he chuckled, waving. he gasped at the sight of his friends and shouted Guys? Is that really you?" He ran off of the stage and hugged them, and said, "Wow, I've been waiting for you. Is this place awesome, or what?!"

"Jay why did you start a Cult!?" Misty cried

"You're just jealous, and besides it's not a cult," Jay said

" I am absolutely not! and besides, it sounds like, looks like, and seems like a cult," Misty scowled.

"This isn't the time, we've got more important things to attend to," Lloyd said pushing in between the two, realizing an argument of ethics was brewing.

"Lloyd right we need to get you guys some new gear, and weapons," Jay said

"And how do you purpose we do that," Kai asked

"By grinding and gaining credits," Jay said smiling he had a smirk on his face.
