The others had sent Lloyd to speak with Master Wu on their behalf. While they trained in the Courtyard. Unfortunately, their training wasn't going as great as it once was since they were mostly out of shape. Cole after trying to spin on his head fell on his face. He looked up and saw Lloyd who had a tired look on his face.

"How'd it go?" Cole asked

Lloyd sucked in an intake of air and said, "He's in, uh, a mood,"

"A bad one I'm assuming," Misty said raising an eyebrow.

Lloyd nodded his head in agreement.

Cole got to his feet and readjusted his back, as the others gathered around Lloyd and Jay asked, "Did he give you a quest tip?"

"No, he said we have to figure it out on our own," Lloyd said

"I've been thinking about it for five minutes! I'm tapped out!" Kai shouted

"Maybe we need a change of scenery, sometimes, ideas come to you better if you change your surroundings." Jay offered

So the ninja clambered into the "hot tub" to think better. This time Misty actually joined them.

But it seemed as if it was pointless as no ideas came to them. "Nope. Still nothing," Jay admitted

"We need a villain," Kai said finally

"What about Ultra Violet?" Cole offered he was back to wearing his hat again.

Misty quickly shook her head no.

"Uh, she was nuts. I'd rather face Killow," Kai admitted

"Kai's right, anyone but her preferably,"Misty said as she looked down at her waist and added, "I still have a scar from when she slashed me the first time we met."

Zane nodded he remembered that both he and Misty had barely managed to escape the crumbling and on-fire palace in time. And he said kindly, "Well at least we won't have to worry about that. They're both incarcerated in Kryptarium Prison."

"What about Master Chen?" Nya offered

"You mean noddles for brains," Misty added

"The Departed Realm," Zane confirmed

"Pythor?" Cole asked

"Whereabouts unknown," Zane said and then added, "locating him would require some effort."

Cole made a face and said, "Effort? Uh... No," and he leaned back in the bell and slurped more soda through his straw.

Misty let out an exasperated sigh and also sunk lower into the water.

"Man, finding a good villain is hard," Kai said and he got up and sat on the rim of the bell.

"Let's face it. There aren't any villains left!" Jay shouted and he said, "Except, well, um..." They all looked at Lloyd. He had an annoyed look on his face and he said, "Say it. My dad,"

"Wherever he is, he's not really a problem right now. Let's move on," Nya offered.

"Who does that leave?" Cole asked

"Maybe we're aiming too high, maybe we don't need a villain. Maybe we just need, like a criminal or a gangster," Nya offered

"Pfft. I'd settle for a bully!" Jay said

"Perhaps we should check in with the Commissioner. We might be able to assist him in the prevention of some crime." Zane said

All of them agreed and they climbed out of the "hot tube"

As they were walking back, Lloyd slowed down till he was walking beside Misty and he said softly, "I remember when you got that injury it was pretty serious. I'm sorry I wasn't there to take care of you,"

"We were both a little preoccupied," Misty replied softly.

"Misty, I..." Lloyd started to say he knew what she was implying from the distraught look on her face, but Misty shook her head. She quickly increased her speed until she was walking beside Jay and Nya. Nya smiled at Misty, but once she noticed her sad expression she placed an arm around her shoulder and yanked her into a side hug. Misty smiled at Nya and Laughed.

Lloyd sighed and his and Misty's relationship had been growing increasingly more unstable as time had passed. Now he wasn't quite sure how to mend the damage that had been done. He narrowed his eyes as he watched Cole walk up beside Misty and offer her a small flower, he must have found on the side of the path they were walking on. A bright smile spread across Misty's face as Cole gently tucked the flower behind her ear. Lloyd scowled he had to be blind not to notice that Misty seemed to be spending a lot more time with Cole lately.

The ninja made their way back to the Monastery and, ran to get changed they flew the Bounty to the Police station.

Lloyd threw open the door to the Commissioner's office and shouted, "Commissioner!"

The commissioner let out a shout of surprise and stood up from his chair behind his desk, spluttering eyes the size of dinner plates, "What? What is it now? Robot pirates? Lava-zombies?"

"Huh?" Cole said and he tilted his head to the side looking confused.

"I think we almost gave this poor man a heart attack," Misty muttered out of the corner of her mouth to Kai. She noticed the commissioner had a little blue model boat he was painting in front of him.

Kai nodded his head.

"No, nothing like that. We just wanna help you catch some bad guys!" Lloyd said quickly

"Oh. Well... Actually, it's been pretty quiet around here. We don't have any outstanding warrants." The commissioner said

"Aw, there's gotta be something for us to do," Kai shouted

The commissioner thought for a second and then said, "Not really, take a look at the board,"

They turned to the chalk board and then Kai shouted, "Aha! Who's that?" he pointed to a little scribble of what looked like a sea monster.

"Oh, that. Oh, that's a joke. Someone drew a monster." The commissioner said

"What about an escaped convict? Or a fugitive?" Nya said desperately.

"Nope, Nothing,"

"Um, a felon?" Kai offered

"No"

"Hoodlum?"

"No"

"A crook?"

"Nope," the commissioner said and he sat back down in his chair.

"Mobster?" Kai said crying.

"Nothing," The commissioner said and began working on his model again.

All of them groaned.

"Sir?" called a voice and in the doorway was an officer.

"Oh, what's up, Jimmy?" the commissioner said looking up from his model.

"I just got a tip about an illegal bootlegging operation, down at the wharfs," Jimmy explained.

"We got it!" Lloyd shouted and the ninja took off.

"Yeah, you guys relax! We'll handle this!" Kai said.

The ninja ran through the streets of Ninjago city only to end up getting lost and having to talk to people for directions. "Wouldn't it have been best to ask for directions before leaving?" Misty as she leaned against Cole's shoulder to catch her breath. They had been running all over the place only to run into dead ends.

"Yeah but that would have waste time!" Jay said

"What are we doing now then!" Misty muttered

"Gathering information," Kai offered. Misty sighed and followed the Ninja as they ran across the street from the noodle vendor they were just talking to.

They pressed their backs against the wall other either side of two large metal doors and Lloyd whispered to his team, "Okay, on three. I kick open the door, we storm the place and take'em down!"

The ninja readied their weapons and Misty created some crystal sais. Lloyd kicked down the doors and they fell to the ground kicking up dust and dirt. "Freeze right there!" He shouted

The older gentleman inside let out a shout of surprise and threw up his hands. He was holding a bottle with purple liquid inside it had a blue lid on top. He dropped the bottle and it shattered.

"Did you young fellers wanna buy some prune juice?" the man asked

Ninja groaned obviously disappointed in this busting operation.

They trudge back to the commissioner's room and Lloyd said, "There's gotta be something."

Nya walked over to the commissioner's side of the room and said, "An outstanding warrant, unpaid parking tickets, anything!" her voice started to get desperate.

"A cat stuck in a tree?" Misty offered

There was a knock on the door and it was once again Jimmy.

"What's up, Jimmy? the commissioner said sounding tired.

"Something about a disturbance at Kryptarium Prison," Jimmy said

"Yes!" Lloyd shouted

"Jackpot!" Nya cried and they flipped up their hoods and rushed out of the door. Nearly knocked Jimmy over. Misty stopped and caught his hat and placed it back on his head before tearing after the others. "Screaming save some for me!"

They raced to Kryptarium and as they were running toward the doors, on the other side they could hear, muffled shouting, and thudding.

"That sounds terrible!" Cole shouted

"We better get in there!" Jay agreed,

"On three! One, two, three!"Lloyd shouted and he busted down the door again. Only to see the prisoners sitting quickly watching a movie. Which was making all the noise. They were shushed by one of the prisoners.

"Oh, hi, guys," The warden said

"I don't understand, where's the riot?" Lloyd asked The ninjas lowered their hoods.

"Riot? Oh, goodness, no. Just a little dispute. But we worked it out, didn't we, fellas?" the warden said

Two prisoners then stood up and one said, "I overreacted and then I apologize. Then the other spoke and said, "And I'm sorry I expressed myself so poorly.

And Lloyd turned to the ground and said, "Where now?"

"Do you think the prison cafeteria has cake?" Cole asked hopefully.

The others groaned.

"I highly doubt it," Misty muttered

"Since we're here anyway perhaps we should check in on Killow?" Zane offered

"Yeah, maybe he's up to something," Kai said hopefully

They approached the giant's cell he seemed to be busy with something and Nya spoke first and said, "Hello, Killow."

Killow turned around with a smile on his face and said in a very friendly tone, "Oh, hi, guys!"

"Don't oh, hi guys" me. What are you up to?" Nya asked narrowing her eyes.

"Nothing. I was trying to finish my painting, heh." He said and he held up his canvas for them to see and said, "You like it?" It was of a little brown dog with a lit stick of dynamite in his mouth.

"Cute dog," Misty said everyone looked at Misty in disbelief but she shrugged and said defensively, "It is a cute dog!"

"Uh...It's okay." Jay said as he peered closer at the painting.

"Uh, why does the puppy have a stick of dynamite?" Kai asked

"Ah well, he's an angry puppy. But he's learning to control his anger. Just like me. I find painting very soothing." Killow explained with a smile

Jay face palmed and the ninja walked away from his cell Lloyd said, "Thanks for nothing Killow.

They returned to the commissioner's office most of them were seated on the couch or floor and Jay was carefully observing the commissioner as he painted the model boat.

The door was flung open Jay jumped up startling the commissioner and Jimmy said, "Got a cat in a tree,"

Soon the ninjas found themselves climbing a tree only for the cat to yowl and for them all to tumble to the ground in a pile. The cat jumped down and landed on Cole's face. Misty was standing by the little girl with a can of cat food. And the cat bounded over to its owner. "There's your cat," Kai said his voice muffled as he was on the bottom of the heap and was face first in the dirt.

"Mister Whiskers!" The girl cried happily Misty handed the cat food to the little girl as the ninja got to their feet. Just then they heard a woman's scream coming from a bank.

They kicked open the door and rushed inside to find a robbery taking place. Lloyd jumped up and landed a kick that sent a thug holding a baseball bat and bag flying. Jay then tackled another and Cole kicked one sending him flying and slamming into a wall. Zane tapped one on the shoulder and then just jumped onto him.

Then they heard, "Cut! Cut, cut, cut!"

Zane stood up holding the guy upside down by his foot. Looking very confused.

"They turned to see a very angry-looking man and a camera crew. He stomped his foot and shouted, "This isn't in the script! Who authorized these changes!"

Zane dropped the guy he was holding, and Lloyd looked at the ground embarrassed, and said, "Oh, boy"

They returned to the commissioner's office and sat back on the couch or floor. Misty was sprawled out on the floor with Nya sitting beside her. She was counting the tiles on the ceiling. Occasionally jimmy would open the door each time getting their hopes up for nothing but minor things such as a coffee spill in the break room, someone using the last roll of toilet paper, there's was a bull in a china shop. At the very least he did bring them donuts though. Which Cole was happy about, they were munching away at their treats. And Lloyd said, "I can't believe this is happening to us!"

"There is literally nothing to do in the entire city!" Nya shouted exasperated.

"Statistically, the absence of a single crime or felony, in a city this size is remarkable," Zane explained

"I wish I understood what you just said, but I don't," Cole said

"How's it a city this size has no crime?" Kai shouted and then turned to the commissioner who was still painting his model boat and said, "And how's it that you're always working on that model ship and never making any progress?"

"What?" the commissioner asked looking up

Kai groaned and said, "Oh, never mind,"

Lloyd threw his donut in Cole's lap and shouted, "What is going on with us? We're getting loopy! We're ninja! We... we need action! Suspense! Danger!" Jimmy entered with a stack of files. And said, "You guys could help me with some filing,"

"How is that dangerous?" Lloyd asked

"If you're not paying attention you could get a paper cut," Jimmy warned.

"We have nothing better to do," Misty mumbled and she got up from the floor.

They started helping Jimmy, receiving multiple paper cuts each, it was sunset and they dragged themselves back to the monastery in defeat.

They entered the courtyard and Lloyd growled, "If I ever see another file, it'll be too soon." They walked passed Sensei who was sweeping and Misty's chicken who seemed to be getting accustomed to the place quite nicely.

"Let's never do that again," Nya agreed

"So many paper cuts, I can't believe I lost to a filing cabinet." Cole groaned

Misty was sucking on the tip of her finger and said, "There's more blood on that last file than there were words,"

They trudged into the living room and Lloyd said, "Let's not tell anyone about this day." He fell onto his stomach onto the couch and said, "Ever"

Nya sat on the couch as well and said, "Okay with me." Cole sat beside her and said, "Me too." Jay sat beside Cole and said, "Me three,"

Kai brought Lloyd a bottle of soda and sat beside him on the couch. Misty slumped into a chair and said, "I'm not even telling my chicken and I tell her everything." Zane sat beside Kai.

Lloyd switched on the tv to see Gayle Gossip on Tv and she said, "I'm here with foremost archaeologist, Clutch Powers, who discovered an unknown pyramid, buried deep in the Desert of Doom." She then turned to a man and said, Professor Powers, what can you tell us about the pyramid?"

The man had black hair and an eye patch and he said, "Absolutely nothing, Gayle. I haven't been inside, and don't plan to."

"But I thought--"

"You wanna know what's inside? Traps. Booby traps. Butt loads of them. Pitfalls and blow darts, and fake tiles that collapse when you step on them, and big boulders that drop on you. No, thank you."

Gayle scoffed and said, "But isn't that your job? As an archaeologist to you know, explore and go on dangerous quests?"

"Technically, yes. What's your point?"

"Well, someone has to go inside."

All of the ninjas looked at Lloyd who was staring at the screen.

And Clutch said, "It would take a ninja to survive what's in there. Do I look like a ninja?"

"No,"

"Point made,"

Lloyd jumped to his feet and shouted, "That's it! That's our quest!"

"I'll pack my bag!" Nya shouted and jumped to her feet.

Followed by Cole who "Sunscreen! Bring lots of sunscreens!"

"Ooh, this is gonna be so much fun!" Jay cheered soon the ninja were all on their feet and they all cheered, "Ninja go!"

And they all ran out of the living room to pack.
