"How does one reach the staff if it becomes more difficult with every step to get there If I'm correct this riddle room poses quite the conundrum?" Zane said

"So if a Spinjitzu Master can't do it... how are we supposed to reach the staff?" Cole said

"Watch and learn," Kai said and he used Airjitzu but fell short on post spikes that appeared Kai jumped off the post as the spikes were launched he ended up setting off more traps as he ran back toward them. Soon they fell apart, even still Kai kept trying to go for the staff making the whole thing worst.

"Will everyone please stop moving!" Jay shouted the ninja were standing on one tile each.

"Kai what are you thinking!" Misty shouted

"I can make it! It's just a hop, skip and jump!" Kai shouted and he tried to use Airjitzu but it failed.

"But what else comes with a hop, skip, and jump you trigger one more trap, I don't know how much more we can take!" Cole shouted and for the first time in a long time he chanced a glance at Misty. And his eyes meet hers for a second but then he looked away.

"Death! That's what comes with it!" Misty shouted

"The clue clearly said it's a test a Spinjitzu Master can not do so why are we not listening to the clue?!" Jay shouted

"Trust me I can make it!" Kai shouted back

"Wait! what if it's a trick? what if the reason we can't do it is because, we were never meant to reach the staff? What is the first rule of begin a ninja?" Cole said

"A ninja never quits," Zane answered

"Exactly and that's why we can't do it because a ninja would never give up," Cole said

"What are you trying to say? We just quite are you insane?" Kai shouted

Cole looked down into the darkness and said "This time trust me!" and he jumped
"Cole!" They shouted

"Come on down and enjoy the ride!" Cole's voice came from in the darkness.

"He's alive!" Zane said and he jumped

Jay jumped off too leaving Misty and Kai still standing. Kai looked at the staff.

"I'll jump if you do..." Misty said

Kai sighed and nodded and both he and Misty jumped off into the darkness.
soon they found themselves sliding down a slide.

"Seriously?!" Kai shouted, "Try to stay together!" Kai added

"Stay together?! I'm just trying to stay in one piece! Ahhh ahh!" Jay screamed
the ninja were thrown in every direction.

"I don't like roller coasters!" Misty shouted luckily they all ended up in one group.
As they went under an arch of spike they grabbed icicles and used them as skis.

"I love skiing!" Jay cheered
and then they flew through an ice wall and landed in a snow drift.

"Is everyone okay?" Zane asked as he got up.

"I'm good... " Misty said and stumbled to her feet

"What did we get ourselves into?" Kai said Jay climbed up high and said "it's a maze! I'm great at Mazes!" Then Kai saw his reflection, he looked older in it.

"If my reflection means anything we won't be breaking out of this maze anytime at all..." Kai said

"My reflection is that... me? I look older but our attire is... different." Zane said

"I don't believe these reflections reveal our inability to escape but a mere glimpse of our future selves," Zane said

"Misako said to move forward don't look ahead. Is that what it means? Wait a minute why is it I can't see my reflection? Where is my reflection?!" Cole shouted
"It's probably because you're a ghost," Kai said

"Ghost cast reflections Kai," Zane said

Cole then noticed Misty throw herself backward from the wall and fall to the ground and desperately scramble away from it. Her eyes were wide with fear. He rushed to her side bent down beside her and said, "Misty what's wrong?"

Misty's voice was trembling and when she spoke she was breathless as she stammered, "Mo-monster, my reflection was a monster," her voice became a whisper. She met Cole's eyes and her voice shaking as she said, "Please don't say anything to the others especially not Lloyd..."

Cole nodded silently and he then looked at the wall still not seeing his reflection, and he grimaced.

Zane then said, "Maybe your not looking in the right spot."

"I am looking at the same place you are," Cole said

"Hey, guys guess what I get an awesome eye patch! And there's something else..." Jay said and then gasped

"What Jay what is so great that you see that I clearly cannot?!" Cole shouted sounding frustrated her gently helped Misty to her feet. Rubbing her back to comfort her she was obviously very shaken from whatever she had seen.

"I end up with Nya..." Jay whispered but then said out loud "Nothing just an eye patch.

"Wait a minute... I think I see me..." Cole said and then jumped back and shouted "It's Morro! He's in the maze too!" And at that second Morro broke through the maze using the sword.

"All you ninja do is talk! Blah Blah Blah! I'll stop you from talking!" Morro shouted as he swung his sword at Jay. Jay dodge and ran away.

Misty jumped and knocked Morro to the ground they both rolled and Morro ended up on top of her.

"The one thing I don't like about you Misty is you are always getting in my way," Morro growled and he grabbed a shard from the broken wall and stabbed it above Misty's shoulder pinning her clothes and temporarily trapping her. He then stood up and ran after Jay slicing his sword at him.

"He's attacking an unarmed man!" Jay screamed

"Hang on Jay! I'm coming!" Misty shouted and she tugged the shard from her clothes freeing herself and running after the two.

"We're coming for you!" Kai shouted the team had been split up. Zane found Morro and jumped on him as Jay was fighting him using a spike.
"Zane's here but Cole where are you?!" Jay shouted

"Uh, I don't really know but I'm coming!" Cole shouted He dove through a wall knocking into Morro, Zane fell off and Morro and Cole slide straight into Misty who was just coming around the corner and they knocked her off her feet.

"Why didn't I do that sooner?" Cole groaned, Morro got to his feet and growled he lunged at Cole and sliced a spike off and Cole caught it and started fighting him with it using it like a sword.

Misty was scrambling back to her feet. Jay was throwing Spikes at Morro and they jumped at him but they both slide past each other the floor was slippery. They got their footing back and continued to fight. Morro sliced Jay's makeshift weapons, but before he sliced jay Zane jumped in and started to fight.

Every time one of them fell the other would jump in just in time to save the other. Soon Morro was fighting all four of them and then he used the wind to blow them away. Kai jumped in and said Come on! Catch me if you can!" Misty jumped in too she grabbed Morro before he leaped at Kai. Who managed to jump away but Misty wasn't fast enough and icicles grew around her as Morro kept slicing them Soon he and Misty were trapped.

"You can't trap me. I'll find you ninja! Just wait you'll see!" Morro shouted

"Misty!" Kai shouted

"I'm fine... Gone on!" Misty shouted as she eyed Morro nervously.

Cole pressed his hand against where he could bearly see Misty and said, "Be careful Misty,"

"Quick how do we get out of here?" Jay shouted

"To move forward don't look ahead," Cole said

Jay tripped and said, "Don't look ahead Look below!"

"There's light everyone dig!" Kai shouted and soon the ninja fell into a cavern under the maze.

-Misty-

"Sometimes I wish I could hurt you..." Morro growled glaring at the girl across from him. He stalked walked over and pinned her to the wall, and he held the blade of his sword to her throat. But she noticed his hand was shaking and he looked torn as he mumbled, "But I can't you look too much like her... You're practically identical... sometimes I wonder if your likeness is some sort of torment for all the things I've done." His voice grew quiet and his eyes grew sad.

Misty eyed the blade at her throat, and at the sadness, in Morro's expression the pain in his face was almost tangible."I saw where you died... and I found where Lily died..."

"Where! Where was she!" Morro demanded at the same time freeing Misty

"Didn't you know where she was?" Misty asked

"No... there was too much steam and smoke we lost each other..." Morro said quietly.

"Did Lily ever say this when she was alive...Trust your heart but never forget your mind and above all else have hope," Misty asked

"Yes... she would say that to me all the time... How did you know?"Morro said he was looking at the spikes that trapped him looking for an exit.

"It was carved into a rock not far from where she died..." Misty explained

"I see..." Morro muttered

"'I moved her skeleton so it was near yours before I left... but I don't think it matters the cave filled with lava.." Misty explained quietly.

"It matters to me." Morro said and he turned to face Misty and said "Thank you..."

"You really loved her didn't you?" Misty said softly.

"As much as anyone could love someone..." Morro murmured and he looked down at the Green gi he wore and added, "But I didn't love her nearly enough...

-Ninja-

They were inside the cavern and hopped down some steps there was a skeleton laying there clutched in its hands was a crystal.

Kai gasped and said, "it's him the First Spinjitzu Master." They kneeled in front of it.

"The realm Crystal," Zane said and he took it from the skeleton.

-Morro-

"I think I found a way out," Morro said and he used Spinjitzu and dropped down below as soon as he did he left Lloyd's body and Lloyd fell to the ground very weak, Misty dropped down beside Morro and knelt beside Lloyd.

"Lloyd!" she cried and reach her hand out. Morro grabbed Lloyd and held the sword near his neck. "Stay quiet or else." He growled.

-Ninja-

Zane held it up and said how does it work?

"How It works is you'll hand over the crystal or say goodbye to your friend.

"I'm sorry I couldn't stop him," Lloyd said he sound very weak.

"So what will it be?" Morro said

"Let Lloyd go, keep me as a hostage, please just let him go," Misty shouted

Morro shook his head and said, "If I do not do this then Lily died for nothing!"

Misty watched as Kai took the crystal from Zane.

and Morro sneered said, "looks like the decision is up to you Kai so choose!"

"Is Misty in any position to help Lloyd?" Kai asked

"I think not..." Zane said and he nodded to Misty was standing helpless to the side staring at Lloyd with a sword at his throat and who was barely able to keep standing.

"Stop stalling give me the realm Crystal or else!" Morro shouted

"We're not stalling we're thinking!" Kai shouted. And then he turned to the other ninja and whispered "He's right I'm stalling what are we gonna do?"

"Oh, this guy really chaps my hide! I swear when this is all over!" Cole growled

"Our powers now that Morro's out of Lloyd's body they're starting to come back," Kai said

"Yeah, but like Lloyd they're weak and we're in no position to fight back," Jay said

"Leave that to me be ready," Kai said

"Times up you leave me no choice!" Morro shouted

"Wait! We'll give you the realm crystal!" Kai said and he tossed it at Morro.

Morro dropped Lloyd and caught the Crystal but it was hot Kai had heated it up using his fire element. Morro dropped the scorching stone and the crystal tumbled into the water below.

"No! The crystal what have you done!" Morro shouted

Misty tried to rush to Lloyd's side but he tried to kick Morro away, Morro blew Lloyd off the edge and into the water.

"Lloyd!!!" All the ninja shouted. Misty ran toward the ledge and dove off it into the water and tried desperately to swim after Lloyd but she wasn't a strong swimmer. Lloyd was trying to keep his head above the water. Kai and Cole were running alongside following him.

"I can't get to him," Cole shouted

"I can't swim!" Kai said

"You can't swim? I can't touch the water remember! And you at least had a reflection what happens to me?!" Cole shouted

Zane and Jay were fighting Morro.

"He's going to drown!" Cole shouted

"Aw, this is crazy what am I doing?" Kai shouted and he jumped in and grabbed Lloyd.

Cole was able to grab Kai and Lloyd before they went over the waterfall. The crystal, however, fell over the falls and Misty nearly went over with it but she grabbed onto the side and pulled herself out of the water.

Morro had used the wind element to bring the crystal back up to him and he ran off.

"Everyone Run!" Cole shouted

"No!" the other ninja shouted.

"I'm sorry." Lloyd croaked out weakly.

"There's no need to be sorry Lloyd," Misty said gently.

Then Ninja helped Lloyd out of the Cave Sensei Wu, Nya and Misako waved to them.

"You all sacrificed so much for me.." Loyd said

Kai chuckled and said, "I promised to look after you didn't I?"

"But now Ninjago's gonna be cursed," Lloyd said

"Yes, but we have you," Zane said

"And now our powers are back as you get stronger so will we and they haven't even seen us at full strength!" Cole said
