Misty was with Lloyd as they were going to visit his father who was in a very high-security cell. Misty could tell as they walked down the hallway that Lloyd was clearly on edge.

The Warden was with them and as they entered another hallway lined with cameras he said, "This is our new maximum-security wing. We spared no expense, I assure you."

"Very wise," Lloyd said

"Yep, the entire wing was built for one purpose--." The Warden said and then used an eye scanner to open a huge vault door as he said, "To hold the rottenness egg of all."

The Warden was nervous and scared said, "Well...good luck. See you on the way out."

Lloyd and Misty turned back around and Lloyd said, "Aren't you--" But he didn't get to finish his sentence as the door closed and lasers came down.

"Stay?" he finished

Lloyd then looked to Misty who nodded he reached out and pulled a lever and a very long metal catwalk came out. Both Lloyd and Misty walked across it toward the dome that held Lloyd's father.

"Hello Father," Lloyd said curtly, meanwhile Garmadon was holding a magazine with his own face on it and he lowered it and said "Well, well, if it isn't the Green Ninja and the Purple Ninja." he got up and walked over closer to where Lloyd and Misty stood and said with a smirk, "What do I owe the honor?"

"You sent for me and Misty, remember you said it was urgent," Lloyd said glaring at his father.

"Did I? Hmmm, that doesn't sound like me I have all the time in the world in here," Garmadon replied grinning and gesturing to his surroundings.

"Fine. Then I guess, we'll just--" Lloyd started and began to turn away, but was cut off by Garmadon saying, "Oh, yes. I remember now. I did call you. Do you remember the last time we saw each other? What I said?"

Misty recalled perfectly what Garmadon had said, "When they come, nothing will be left."

"You said something was coming," Lloyd replied narrowing his eyes at his father.

"Yes, but you didn't listen and now I'm afraid, there isn't much time." Garmadon answered darkly.

"Time for what?" Lloyd asked

"To prepare for the darkness destruction. The end of Ninjago, and while I'm okay with the, in principle, I'd rather not be destroyed along with you, so I've decided to help you fight them." Garmadon said

"Fight who?" Lloyd asked

"The Bringers of Doom. You and your color-coded little ninja are no match for them, there's only one thing powerful enough to stop them." Garmadon said

"Let me guess-- you," Lloyd said angrily

"Let me out and you might have a chance," Garmadon said

"Hmm. How do I put this...? No, N-O! Not if you were the last person in all of Ninjago, there is nothing you can say, that will make me trust you ever again, goodbye." Lloyd shouted and started walking away. Misty turned away from the glass dome and it was an unfortunate prisoner as well.

"She will be targeted by the Bringers of Doom by refusing my help you are placing her in grave amounts of danger. " Garmadon said

Lloyd paused and turned to look at Misty, he turned on his father and scowled, "That's a lie there's no reason Misty would be targeted,"

"Really? It seems I know more about your girlfriend than even you do," Garmadon gloated and then added, "You're placing her in danger by not accepting my offer!"

Lloyd turned back to his father narrowed his eyes at him and opened his mouth to say something. But Misty grabbed his shoulder and said, "Lloyd, you can't possibly believe that! Do NOT take his offer." Misty said through gritted teeth.

Lloyd nodded and both he and Misty left the cell and the person in it behind.

But Misty still could hear Garmadon's voice say, "You'll be back." As Lloyd and Misty stepped out of the building they got a call from Nya, telling them to get back to the Monastery immediately

When they made it back they saw everyone standing in the courtyard and the doors were shut. "What happened, what's wrong?" Lloyd asked

"Faith came through a portal carried by Firstborn both of them are injured... and she managed to tell Wu that a Darkness is coming," Kai explained

"Can't we go see her?" Misty asked anxiously

"No, all we can do is wait," Nya explained

So they waited painstakingly until Wu opened the door and came out. "How is she?" Lloyd asked

"Will she be okay?" Nya added

"I have given her a powerful healing potion, she will recover, as will Firstborn, though it will take time," Wu explained

"Did she say what happened?" Cole asked

"Wu had a cup in hand and he turned back around to face the Ninja, he had some leaves too and said, "She said... a darkness swept over the Realm of Oni and Dragon." and he dropped the leaves in and Black smoke billowed out of the cup as he continued to explain, "She tried to resist it, but it grew and grew, consuming all in it'd path, those who were touched by it were frozen where they stood like statues."

"We were at Kryptarium Prison visiting my father. He said something similar. He said, "the Darkness is coming." Lloyd explained

Jay walked over to where Wu stood and saw the cup and said, "Well, that's creepy" and tried to blow the smoke away and out.

"but what is it? What is the darkness?" Cole asked

"What else did he say? Something about, "the Bringers of Doom." Lloyd said

"Bringers of Doom?" Wu said thoughtfully soon they walked inside and he pulled out a book and started flipping through the pages until he came to one that had a picture of a dark figure with horns and a staff in the midst of black smoke, and he said, "there. That's it."

"I don't like the look of that," Cole said nervously.

"Me neither. What is it?" Kai asked

"It is an Oni, My father called them the Bringers of Doom, he feared they would one day, spread out from their realm and cover all the lands of creation in darkness," Wu said gravely

But then Jay busted out laughing, and said, "That's a crazy Legend, Good thing it's just a legend, right," Jay said

"Many legends begin in truth, and if there is any truth to this we must prepare," Wu explained

"How?" Lloyd asked

"We must warn Ninjago City, there isn't a moment to lose." Wu ran out followed by the Ninja.

"Good thing we have the Bounty back!" Cole said

Lloyd and Misty were still standing in front of the book and they looked down at the picture, and Lloyd said "The Bringers of Doom." The concern was evident on his face and in his voice.

"I'm going to be okay Lloyd," Misty reassured him. Lloyd didn't look fully convinced but he nodded and both he and Misty ran for the Bounty. The Bounty was a full replication of their old ship.

When they made it on it, Misty heard Jay shout, "No way look at this thing."

They ran onto the bridge, and Nya marveled at the sight and Kai said, "Ha. This looks just like the Old Bounty."

"They did a wonderful job," Nya added amazed.

"Let's see what she's capable of. Full speed ahead!" Lloyd ordered.

Zane complied and pulled the lever near the wheel up, but the boat shot backward instead, and the Ninja fell forward, Zane managed to pull the lever back to the stationary point and Nya shouted, "What as that."

"Forward, Zane not backward," Lloyd shouted

Zane pulled the sticker near the lever and said, "Someone must have wired the lever wrong." He corrected the mistake and the Bounty was off this time in the right direction.

~On The Bounty~

Misty had walked below deck to see the inside of the ship and marveled at it, it was amazing, as she walked down the hallway she heard a voice say, "Garmadon told you something else something that your not telling us, what happened?"

She turned and saw it was Cole behind her. "Cole...." she said

Soon he was standing opposite of her and he said, "Tell me what he said Misty, whatever it is it's obviously bothering you."

"What makes you think that?" Misty said

"I can just tell... after all, we were together for a short amount of time," Cole said

Misty bit her bottom lip and said, "You mean you and Mai were together...not you and me."

"But you remember everything that happened don't you?" Cole said

Misty was happy the topic had changed but she was very displeased that it had changed to this one, she hadn't spoken to Cole about what had taken place between Mai and him in the Land of Oni and Dragon since they had returned.

"I remember everything as if I had been there." Misty admitted,

"So you do recall..." Cole said quietly and then said, "I thought you might have forgotten."

"I didn't remember everything..." Misty said again

"So you remembered that I kissed you." Cole said he was closer to Misty.

"Yes- But I..." Misty began to say But was cut off by Cole saying, "So you remembered how it felt?"

Misty who was clearly flustered said, "Cole! We shouldn't be talking about this Ninjago is in danger! And Lloyd and I... are still undecided what we are,"

"You haven't told him have you," Cole said cooly

"Of course, I haven't told Lloyd! How do you expect me to explain that I-" Misty started to say but was cut off when she heard a voice say, "Explain to me what exactly?"

Misty turned her head and saw Lloyd was at the end of the hallway. She quickly pushed Cole away from her giving them more distance from each other and said, "It's nothing! Nothing to say not a thing to explain."

Lloyd didn't look like he was convinced and he looked back and forth between Cole and Misty. But said, "Usually I would wait till you gave me an answer, but there's no time, we need all hands on deck, now!"

When Misty, Cole, and Lloyd made it up to the deck Zane said, "Uh, guys? I'm picking up a lot of distress calls on UHF."

"We're too late," Cole said he sounded upset

"Maximum speed!" Lloyd shouted to Nya

"Hold on, everyone." Nya said and she pressed a button, the ship barely sped up and Nya who was understandably annoyed shouted, "Come on you unhinged ship!" and she kicked the controls, and all of a sudden the flames roared to life and the ship sped up greatly.

"Are we going to make it?" Misty said anxiously she was peering over the side of the Bounty at the town below, They saw some citizens and got them into the ship, but then Misty spotted the Commissioner and some police officers in a jam in an alleyway, And They lowered a ladder and ropes down, The Ninja slid down the ropes and as they landed the Commissioner said, "The Ninja. Oh boy, are we glad to see you guys?"

Lloyd grabbed the rope ladder and pushed it toward the Commissioner and said, "Commissioner, get your officers out of here."

The Commissioner turned to his officers and shouted, "You heard him. Move it!"

They climbed up the ladder and onto the Bounty.

"Okay, let's see what this is made of." Lloyd said and then turned to Jay and said, "Care to do the honors, Jay?"

"My pleasure. Lightning!" Jay shouted and he shot a bolt of lightning into the cloud. but nothing happened

"Let's see how it likes fire. Fire!" Kai shouted and he shot it into the cloud still nothing and the cloud was coming closer and closer.

"Okay, everybody at the same time!" Lloyd said and they all shouted, "Ninja Go!" again there was no effect.

"Our elemental powers appear to be ineffective," Zane said

"Yeah, no kidding. What do we do?" Kai scouted

Lloyd then used the radio and said, "Nya, get us out of here."

Nya's voice came over the intercom and said, "You got it."

Cole was just staring into the Cloud and Misty grabbed his hand and jerked him toward the rope and said, "Climb Cole!"

She jumped onto her own and started climbing, but Cole was on his own and saw a tendril of darkness reaching toward Misty's ankle and he shouted, "Misty, whatever happens, don't let go of that rope!"

"What are you-" Misty said sounding confused but immediately felt a thing slam into her causing her to nearly lose her hold, and she looked to see it was Cole who had rammed into her. "Cole! What in the world-" but her eyes widened as she saw a smoke tendril had wrapped itself around Cole's ankle and was trying to pull him off the rope.

"Guys! Help! It's got, Cole!"

And the tendril gave a mighty tug and Cole fell back toward the ground, Misty had released one of her hands from the rope to grab Cole's hand but it was too late and her fingertips barely brushed his.

"Cole!" she shouted as Cole hit the ground and was starting to get tugged toward the cloud, "Misty stay put I've got him!" Lloyd shouted and jumped down and pulled out his sword and sliced the tendril freeing Cole and he said, "Come on, buddy. I gotcha, Time to get out of here. Reel us in. Quick!" Lloyd shouted and they managed to pull the two up just in time, When Lloyd made it back into the Bounty he said, "We need to go and Save more People."

All the Ninjas were walking around and trying to calm people down giving them tea and speaking to them.

Misty had been talking to an older woman and she noticed Lloyd was staring over the side of the Bounty at the City below.

She walked over and stood beside him and Soon they were joined by Nya, who looked at Lloyd and he looked at her, Misty knew what was running through their heads as it was running through hers as well, the time Ninjago had faced destruction under Garmadon's rule.

They were soon joined by the other Ninja and Kai said, "We hit it with everything we had, and it did nothing. It just went right through it."

"Who are we supposed to fight something like that?" Nya asked

"When I touched me It was colder than anything I've ever felt, and there was something inside the cloud. I think it was an Oni." Cole said

Lloyd looked down but said, "Maybe we can't fight it. But I know someone who can."

The Ninjas exchanged looks, and Misty said, "Lloyd, please tell me you mean someone else..."

-Time Skip-

Soon they were standing in front of Garmadon who was still on the other side of a glass dome and he said, "Well, well. Look who's back." Garmadon gloated.

"How do we stop it?" Lloyd asked

"You can't. If you were to enter the darkness, you would succumb to it, the only way to defeat an Oni is with another Oni, you need me because you're not going to let her enter it alone." Garmadon said and he pointed at Misty, and added, "Besides she's only half Oni."

Jay laughed and said, "Like that's gonna happen. That's not gonna happen, is it?"

"What choice do we have?" Lloyd said and then shouted, "Open Cell one!"

The Doom began to lift and Gramadon was free and started laughing evilly.

-Time Skip-

Misty and the others were making their back to the ship along with their new "friend."

"Cole, why did you ram into me when we were on that rope?" Misty asked her and Cole was walking to the ship.

"The cloud was going for you... so I made sure it never reached you." Cole said and then said, "What I find interesting is that I was a closer target yet it reached for you instead, care to elaborate?"

"Cole listen when I and Lloyd were talking to Garmadon, in the beginning, he said, that the Oni would be targeting me... I can only guess it's because of who my mother was." Misty explained softly

"She was an Oni right?" Cole said

"She was...my father was human, my mother betrayed her fellow Oni just like Mystake did...except she did it out of love for my dad and me..." Misty explained softly

"That makes you half Oni, you do realize that right?" Cole said raising an eyebrow

"I realize that and it's actually my Oni blood that apparently caused the crystal element to become corrupted, and to become unstable, the moment the element became corrupted was a sign that I wasn't a worthy host... for the crystal element, I wasn't human..." Misty said and bowed her head.

"No matter what you are Misty, first and foremost our teammate, friend, and fellow Ninja, and together we will save Ninjago," Cole said

"Your right we are still a team and nothing will change that. No matter what, we're going to be there for each other. That's a promise," Misty said with a smile.

Cole smiled and pulled Misty into a side hug and said, "Always,"
