Misty could feel Lloyd's arm wrapped around her tightly, and she then felt Wu help pull her to her feet and Lloyd's arm and hand disappeared appeared from where it had been as his mother pulled him up as well.

"I tried," he said

"I know," Wu said

"It is done, the balance has shifted," Misako said placing a hand on her son's shoulder.

Misty looked skyward and saw that the clouds were swirling around and around, the Overlord's voice could he heard laughing evilly, she then looked toward Garmadon and he shouted, "Stop laughing now! This is my victory. What's happening?!" he had noticed the now swirling clouds above him as well.

"You've helped offset the balance, because of you, I can now, cross over into your world. I'm finally free!" The Overlord shouted gleefully.

"Wait for a minute, you stole that from my playbook. You can forget about it Ninjago is mine!" Garmadon shouted

"No! It was never going to be yours... It is MINE!" The Overlord shouted

Misty could feel the mystical tension building in the air and she then lunged backward and shoved Lloyd, Wu and Misako back as a blinding flash of light struck Garmadon wind then started whipping around the area and when the group could see again they could only hear Garmadon's shouts of pain.

Jay's voice then said, "Sorry we're late did we miss much?"

Misty could say anything and only managed to point her finger at Garmadon who was now going through a terrifying transformation.

"Holist of Unholies!" Jay shouted as he too watched the disturbing transformation

"What is happening to me!" Garmadon shouted

"Are you scared? I'm scared." Jay admitted his voice reaching several pitches higher than usual.

"Something is very wrong here!" Garmadon screamed and then the Overlord's voice could be heard instead of Garmadon saying, "The Metamorphosis has begun!"

"Metamorphosis? What does that mean?" Kai shouted to Zane

"Metamorphosis is a biological process by which someone or something changes into something new," Zane explained

"Yeah, changes into something ugly!" Cole shouted and pointed to what used to be Garmadon.

"Father!" Lloyd shouted and he started toward the figure but it had no resemblance to what had been Garmadon.

Misty grabbed onto Lloyd's hand and held tight and said: "No, Lloyd it's not safe!"

"She's right Lloyd, that is no longer your father," Wu said

"But what about the prophecy? It said Misty and I had to face my father." Lloyd said and he squeezed Misty's hand as if trying to reassure her.

"You still must, but now the Overlord has possessed him, unlike your father, the Overlord will show you no mercy," Misko said grimly

"You can do this Lloyd," Kai said

"We're here, and behind you all the way," Jay added

"He's tough but you're tougher," Cole said

"But we have to act before his evil gets more powerful," Zane warned

"It's now or never Lloyd," Misty said

"Let's do this," Lloyd said and he flipped up his hood and they ran toward the threat. "Ninja-go!" they all shouted

Lloyd then made a line of green flames and the ninja used it as temporary cover as then jumped through it to reach the army, and began making progress in fighting the Overlord's minions.

The Stone Warrior Kozu tried to stop Wu so he could load another missile into the cannon but managed to kick into the cannon himself and launched across the ocean.

"Good, thing he's indestructible," Misty muttered under her breath as she watched him soar off.

The Overlord now frustrated shouted, "Fine I'll load it myself!" but he never got to do it since Misty and Lloyd had managed to sneak up behind him.

"This ends now!" Lloyd shouted and then said, "All this time everything has led to this."

"Stupid boy, I've been planning this for thousands of years!" The Overlord shouted

"Lloyd do it now!" Misty shouted and she then created a wall of crystal right in front of them. She thought that this was what it meant for them to work together like they had tried to do with the Grundle, Since Lloyd's powers, when combined with Misty's, could be amplified.

"Eat Green!" Lloyd shouted and blasted the energy blast through the Crystal wall and it slammed into the Overlord.

"Show him, Lloyd!" Cole shouted

But then the Overlord got up and charged his own blasted which came from four hands.

"Get back!" Lloyd shouted and he grabbed Misty's wrists and jumped backward, and held onto the machine just as the crystal wall shattered, Misty was dangling from his grasp. Lloyd looked back and saw that the Overlord was coming for him and the girl he held, and Misty looked at Lloyd and realized from the look on his face what he was about to do.

"Don't you even think about it!" Misty shouted angrily

"I'm sorry Misty, " Lloyd said and he then let go of her wrist and, shouted, "someone catch her!"

Misty fell, and she tried to latch back onto Lloyd's hand but he pulled it back just as the Overlord landed a blow and sent him flying backward and he landed hard several yards away. "Lloyd!" Mist screamed, and she then felt her body instead of colliding with the ground landed on something warm and soft. She tried to scramble out of the person's arms who was holding her but she left the person to latch onto her arm, yanking her back as she heard Lloyd shout, "Keep her safe and far away, Cole!"

"No! Let Me Go! I have to Help Him!" Misty shouted

Lloyd scrambled to her feet and watched as the Overlord landed and shout a ray of dark energy at Lloyd who had managed to get to his feet and he countered the ray, both beams of energy were held at a standstill. Until the Overlord stopped and shot at Lloyd with an energy ball. Lloyd dodged it and a blow that sent the Overlord flying back into the tree linning, so much that they lost sight of the villain.

"Yes!" Jay shouted

But then the Overlord came back and he was hovering/flying thanks to his four hands.

"No!" Shouted Jay.

The Overlord came flying back toward Lloyd and slammed into the ground in front of him, a cloud of dust could temporarily block the view of the rest of the team, but then Lloyd's form came flying from the cloud and landed only inches from the water's edge.

"Lloyd!" Misty shouted

"The battle for good and evil, I can do this for eternity. But can you? Your friends can't help you now, you are all alone!" The Overlord taunted

Lloyd had gotten to his feet and he removed his hood and said, "No, I'm not, my father is still in you, He won't with me!"

Just then for a second, the Overlord lost control and Garmadon's voice broke through and his old self barely reappeared. "Lloyd! Stay strong!" his voice shouted

But then the Overlord took back control, "Fool, you cannot defeat me!" He shouted

Lloyd then blasted the Overlord and ran at him landing several blows and then blasted him again, and shouted, "I can try!"

The Overlord then blocked his next blow and shot his own four energy beams, laughing evilly.

"Fight Father!" Lloyd cried out

"Lloyd!" Garmadon shouted

"Fight Him! Lloyd shouted

"He is the Green Ninja," Kai said

"See Misty he's going to be alright," Cole said

Just then the Overlord seemed to be fighting himself he was fighting control over his body

"FIGHT HIM!" Lloyd shouted

But then the Overlord took back control, and he shouted, "YOUR FATHER IS GONE!" and with renewed strength blasted Lloyd with time it closed around him and lifted him into the air, and the Overlord then threw Lloyd skyward and he slammed into the ground.

"Lloyd!" Wu shouted

"My son!" Misako shouted

And then the cannon turned and pointed toward Lloyd

"You were always so....green." The Overlord said and he pressed a button a missile flew toward Lloyd, but the Bounty came flying in taking the blow instead, Zane's father was at the wheel and escaped the ship just before it crashed.

Misty shoved Cole off her and rushed to where Lloyd was and she bent down beside him, his mother and Wu were already there.

The other ninja were busy trying to stop the Overlord from leaving through a portal but were not able to stop him.

"Lloyd, please wake up," Misty said sadly

Lloyd after several painful moments opened his eyes and sat up and said, "Did I Win?"

" No, but you're alive," Wu said

Jay and Misako helped Lloyd stand and he said, "But the prophecy," Lloyd took a few steps but then fell.

"Easy, kid. You've been through a lot." Jay said and again he and Misako helped Lloyd stand.

Misty then stood beside Lloyd and wrapped her arm around him to support him. "My leg," Lloyd said

Misty then helped him walk closer to the water's edge and he said, "Did we lose the final battle?'

"What's important is we didn't lose you, or Misty," Wu said

"Lloyd then spotted something and he walked over with Misty's help and picked it up with was a piece from the Bounty, "the symbol for Destiny, Destiny showed us who was stronger today, but Destiny also wanted us around to fight another day, we didn't lose the battle, today, we just lost the fight."

The Ninja then decided to wait for the next morning, and they spread out across the beach.

Misty then came and curled up beside Lloyd and laid beside him, "We're going to find a through this Lloyd I want you to know that."

"How do you know that?" Lloyd sighed but he placed his arm around Misty.

"Shouldn't you know by now not to ask anymore and just accept the fact that I'm right?" Misty joked and gave him a reassuring smile.

"Be careful I might actually start believing you." Lloyd laughed but his laugh sounded half-hearted.

"You should," Misty said grinning

"I'll keep that in mind," Lloyd said after he realized no matter what he said, he was going to lose the argument anyway.

"Good," Misty said but then she frowned and said, "Why did you drop me!"

"Because I didn't want you to get hurt," Lloyd answered

"Oh, and letting me watch you get beat up was the better option?' Misty snapped

"At least you and the others are safe that's all that mattered to me" Lloyd answered

"We're a team remember so next time let me stay with you," Misty said.

"As long as you promise to stay safe," Lloyd said

I will but only if you do too." Misty replied

"Fair enough," Lloyd sighed...
