The ninja was back inside the Airjitzu Temple aka their headquarters.

Zane, Jay, and Cole were standing together staring at the Time Blade they had managed to grab previously.

" Whoa! Amazing," Cole marveled

"It is unlike anything I've ever seen," Zane added

"So cool!" Jay agreed he was holding the Time Blade and held it up pointing it into the air.

"I must urge caution Jay, the Time Blade is a powerful weapon," Zane warned

"It looks more like a gauntlet than anything," Misty muttered she was standing at the edge of the room watching the three boys.

"Uh, you think I don't know that? Check this out!" Jay said and then flung the blade at a pile of moving boxes, it embedded itself into the boxes. "Boom! Haha, Eight bull's-eyes in a row, beat that!"

"Oh, I did," Cole said

"Oh, really? When?" Jay asked skeptically

"When I got nine in a row," Cole answered and he walked over toward the blade.

"Okay, yeah if you want to count that," Jay sighed

"Yeah, but watch this," Cole said and removed the blade, he grabbed another moving box and tossed it up into the air, and then blasted it.

Jay laughed and said, "Ha, ha, you missed!"

"Did I?" Cole asked and pointed up into the air, the box was stuck in midair floating, "Slow-moving target. Easy peasy, lemon-" he said and leaped into the air and sliced the box to ribbons using the blade, pieces of the box and a sliced up stuff animal fell to the ground.

"And that's how you recycle an empty box" Cole said

"And that's why it's called a blade..." Misty said as she walked over and turned over one of the many pieces of cardboard that littered the ground. She then picked up the sliced-up blue horse plushy that had fallen from the box.

"That box was not empty," Zane said and pointed to what Misty held in her hand.

Jay seeing the plushy let out a blood-curdling scream and rushed over and snatched the plushy from Misty and shouted, "Mr. Cuddly Whomp," he then quickly restated after noticing Misty's raised eyebrow, "Ahem, it's a teddy bear I used to love when I was five, but now he is totally lame and--"

"We know you still sleep with him," Cole said

"Uh, and I don't care who knows it." Jay whimpered "Mr. Cuddly Whomp" and hugged the stuffy causing it to squeak.

"Yeah, I actually have a little collection of stuff animals still too," Misty admitted shrugging

"Switching to playful mode," Zane said and took the blade from Cole and spun around in a circle, and flung the blade which landed only a few inches away from Nya's head. She was on her computer, and shouted indigently, "Hey, watch it, I'm workin' here."

"Sorry, Nya" Zane apologized and walked over and grabbed the blade.

"What's with Nya, she's been on her computer since we got back from the desert," Cole asked

"Her attempt to locate her stolen, Samurai X suit is consuming her," Zane explained

"Uh, she's as bad as her brother," Cole said and pointed to Kai who was off sitting on a chair holding a metal helmet, in deep thought. When all of a sudden he said, "Aha! I've got a clue" and rushed over and started flipping through a book, only to sigh a few moments later and throw the book back over his shoulder, restating, "I've not got a clue,"

"He has been reading those Ninjago history books all day," Cole said

"I don't get those two, we finally get a victory, and they choose to celebrate by dorking out instead of doing something cool?" Jay said and the gasped getting an idea and said, "Let's run straight at each other and see if this will slow us down before we collide,"

"Or you mean something stupid," Misty said as she watched the three-run off laughing and giggling like little school children at recess. She then called after them, "Make sure to go super fast!"

"Oh, yeah thanks for the advice Misty!" Jay shouted back happily.

Misty then decided to go and visit Master Wu to see how he was doing. Misty stopped outside Master Wu's door and could hear Lloyd's fast and exciting voice he sounded like a hyperactive child.

"I really think I'm starting to get the hang of this whole master thing, so then I come storming in on my jet, maintaining a low altitude for tactical benefits, and I just completely overwhelm the Snake Army, samurai fighter, whatever they are, you know until they leaped into our vehicles and crashed, fast-forward, the blade ends up in the sand and general what's-his-face..." Misako Lloyd's mother eventually tried to stop him, saying, "Lloyd dear perhaps it would be better to tell him, your amazing story when he can--"

Then Misty heard the sound of clattering teacups and Lloyd's continued chatter, "And choose we fly out of there pretty amazing right?"

Misako's sighed and said, "I'll make some more tea?" and left the room finding Misty still standing out in the hallway.

"Oh, hi um sorry I didn't mean to eavesdrop," Misty said quickly

"No it's fine dear," Misako said kindly and started walking toward the kitchen with her tea tray, and then added, "I hope you won't mind but Misty could you please go and grab Lloyd from in there, it'll be up to you to think of an idea on how to get him out of there,"

"Yeah, sure I can do that," Misty said entered Master Wu's room and called, "Hey, Lloyd you might want to go and check on their others, It might just be me but I don't think the combination of Jay, Zane, Cole and a Time Blade unsupervised could create anything good. They said something about going fast and using the Time Blade,"

"What?! Why didn't you stop them!" Lloyd said and quickly rushed past Misty and out of the room.

"Yeah because you all totally listen to me," Misty added and hurried after Lloyd quietly closing the door to Master Wu's room.

Lloyd flung open the door to see Jay and Cole running each other inside a Time bubble created by Zane.

"Hey, I told you guys not to mess around with the Time Blade," He shouted

"We.....aren't..." Jay managed to say and then the bubble popped both Jay and Cole's heads collided both falling backward, Zane wasn't safe either and also fell backward.

Lloyd walked over and took the blade from Zane and scolded them saying, "I said to hide it someplace safe,"

Jay cleared his throat and said, "And we ignored you" Lloyd leaped over the two as Cole said, "Besides we're um skill-building."

"What skill room destroying?" Lloyd snapped and added, "This blade is extremely powerful and highly coveted, nothing this valuable will be easily conceded,"

" Nothing this valuable will be easily conceded," Cole said in a mocking tone to Jay and added, "Sounds to me like someone's earned his black belt in begin a wet blanket."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lloyd snapped and then turned to Misty who was standing at the doorway and said, "Come on Misty back me up here,"

"Um, I'm staying chaotic neutral in this argument, even though I do usually consider myself chaotic good," Misty said innocently and stepped into the room.

Lloyd hearing this just rolled his eyes, and gave Misty a look that said, "really?"

"I believe Cole's intent is to describe you as a blanket which had become wet, not for the purposes of putting out fire but rather to extinguish our enjoyment," Zane explained

"Oh, seriously, Lloyd, lighten up, it'd not going anywhere," Jay said and he snatched the blade back from Lloyd and spin it on his finger like a basketball, then flung it up into the air. It came back down and smacked Lloyd on the head.

"Ugh! Hey!" Lloyd shouted glaring at Jay who laughed nervously and said, "Ahem! See?"

The door opened and Master Wu's voice then said, "I see that after victory some of you have chosen to amuse yourselves, I encourage you not to be so careless. "Nothing this valuable will be easily conceded."

"Uh, sorry, Master Wu," Cole said and bowed

"Well put Master," Jay agreed

Meanwhile, Lloyd shouted angrily at Jay, "Well put? I just said the exact something! Ugh!"

"Kai, Nya, join this is important," Wu said

Kai and Nya both stood and walked over standing in a line with the other Ninja, as Wu continued.

"You have had a victor a well-earned one, but Krux, and Acronix and their forces remain a threat. Do not allow your confidence to cloud your vigilance, I made that mistake once," Wu said

"Kai is something troubling you? Wu then asked

"Uh, the marking on this helmet do you recognize it?" Kai asked Wu then gazed at the helmet and then gasped and quickly turned around walking toward the exit of the room almost in a daze.

"You do recognize it w-what do you know? Tell me, please." Kai begged

"This means...This changes everything..." Wu said

Just then a pod burst through the wall of the temple and into the room the ninja were standing in it skidded across the floor and landed with a thud.

"What was that?" Jay shouted

The ninja rushed outside only to see an army on the ground below the temple. Lloyd stood back by the door with Master Wu.

"I've run a fourth level analysis, it appears the snake's warriors have returned to retrieve the blade," Zane said

"Really? I could have told you that with a third-level analysis or a no-level analysis!" Jay shouted back

"He has a point there! It doesn't take much to know what they've come knocking on our door for" Misty agreed gazing down at the enemies below.

"We-we're all the way up here and there all the way down there, no chance they could reach us," Cole said Another pod was launched upward and over the ninja, it crashed behind them and broke open spilling out snakes.

"Oh, come on, they got catapults?" Nya complained

"Whatever it's just a bunch of snakes," Cole said

"Remain on guard ninja, there is more to your adversaries than you may think," Wu warned Lloyd was helping him walk.

The snakes had formed into warriors, and Cole then said, "Wu whatever, they're just a bunch of warriors, I mean they're not armed but we are." Cole said

"Big mistake, never bring fist to a nunchak, sword, psychotonish shuriken fight!" Jay shouted

Another pod was shot up and it had swords in it, and Jay said, "Oh, wow! They went from unarmed snakes to fully weaponized vermillion warriors really really fast,"

"That's it Cole you don't get to talk anymore," Misty sighed

"Doesn't matter we can take...wait, that's what they are called? Vermillion warriors?" Kai asked

"I know right? So lame. There are so many better names," Jay agreed

"Actually the name is quite clever, you see Vermillion is a shade of red with a slight orange tint a color which symbolizes life in eternity. So in that sense, they should actually be commended for--" Zane never finished this art lesson since Lloyd shouted, "Guys focus, Everyone ready?"

"I will sit this one out to preserve my strength," Wu said

"Good idea master," Lloyd said and then shouted "Ninjago!"
