Misty woke with a start as she felt as if she were being pressed hard against her mattress. When her eyes flew open she instantly saw a figure on top of her holding her down with their own body. She then noticed that the side of her neck felt numb for some reason and her limbs seemed to be locked up as if she couldn't move them. So she did the only thing she could think of and screamed.

She opened her mouth and let out the loudest scream she could muster her mouth felt dry as if she had not had a sip of water in hundreds of years. The figure that was on top of her quickly got off of her loud banging came from outside her door as she heard a voice shouting, "Misty! Misty are you okay! Misty hang on!"

The figure turned its gaze on the door as Misty sat up and pressed herself against the headboard of the bed in fright. She wanted to be as far as possible from whoever that was. She scrambled to the edge of the bed and rushed to the door and fumbled for the door handle to open it. Shouting, "There's someone in here with me!" She pulled and yanked on the handle in desperation her heart pounding in her ears, but she couldn't get the door open. She pushed and pulled but it wouldn't budge.

She heard the voice on the other side of the door shout, "Get away from the door Misty!"

Misty stumbled backward from the door and dove for cover crashing onto the floor. She covered her head with her arms as the door burst inward into the room it splintered into pieces and Cole rushed in his lava hands still in the middle of cooling down, he was followed by Lloyd and the rest of the team.

Nya had water weaving in and out between her hands as she readied it for an attack and Kai had his hands lit with flames lighting up the dark room.

Cole instantly rushed to Misty who was still on the ground he knelt down beside her and pulled her close to him and looked over her and said, "Are you okay you're not injured are you?"

"No... no, I don't think so," Misty stammered still in shock.

Lloyd rushed to the curtains covering the window and yanked them aside and open, moonlight flooded into the dark room illuminating it slightly but it still left the darkest corners of the room drenched in darkness. Lloyd then shouted, "Kai check the wardrobe and make sure no one is hiding in it! Jay check under the bed and Zane scan the room for life signs!"

Kai rushed over to the wardrobe Nya was standing beside him he put out one of his hands and placed his hand on the door handle and swallowed hard and said, "And what if someone is there?"

"Then they're about to be drenched!" Nya said and she got ready to attack and Kai mouthed to his sister, "On the count of three, One, two, now!" he yanked open the door only for it to be empty.

Pixal was with Jay and he checked under the bed and said, "All clear no monsters there's nothing except for some dust bunnies,"

Lloyd then turned to Zane and he said, "The only life singles in the room are us..."

Misty by this time had calmed down and Cole helped her to her feet.

Lloyd noticed her and Cole and simply coughed and looked away but said, "What happened Misty?"

"I felt as if someone was on top of me and when I opened my eyes there was they were holding me down against the bed as my neck... my neck felt numb," Misty mumbled quietly. She then reached up and touched the side of her neck with her fingertips and winced when her fingers brushed against two puncture marks on her skin.

Cole noticed she winced and said, "What happened?"

"I...I.. think they bit me," Misty said and she pulled her fingers away from her neck. Cole then reached up and pulled Misty's hair out of the way and peered closely at her neck. But it was too dark so he called over Kai who held up his fire. And Cole then saw two puncture marks on the side of Misty's neck marring her skin the marks had dark veins expanding from them. "Uh, this doesn't look, good guys!" Cole said as his face paled

"What! What's wrong!" Misty yelped panic was evident in her voice.

"Nothing, everything is fine," Cole lied and he motioned for the rest of the time to come over and look.

Jay hurried over and when he saw the marks he said, "Oh my gosh those look horrible!" Nya immediately clamped a hand over his mouth and hissed, "Jay!"

"What they do look horrible you're seeing what I am too right!" Jay said his voice was muffled though.

Misty then instantly started panicking and black crystals started erupting from the ground around her feet.

Cole quickly used his lava hands to break them off and Lloyd flung open the windows Cole chucked them as far as he could outside as Nya rushed after him and encased them in water so that when they exploded they didn't cause damage.

Lloyd rushed over to Misty and gently placed his hand on her back and gently rubbed up and down and said in a calm voice "It's okay Misty it's okay everything is going to be fine. Take some deep breaths and let's think about this."

Misty took some deep breaths and started calming down and luckily no more crystals appeared, Lloyd gently lead her over to the bed where Misty sat on the side of it and kept taking deep breaths to calm herself down and Lloyd was gently holding her hand to try and comfort her like her always do. The others were discussing what to do next.

"Misty," Lloyd said quietly, "Yes?" Misty asked

"I'm sorry, you are right I have been still caught up on Harumi," He ran his fingers through his hair as he let out a sigh.

Misty's throat seemed tight and she asked, "Do you love her more than you love me?"

Lloyd seem to get a far-off look in his eyes but he then shook his head and said, "No... but yes I did love her."

"Oh," Misty said her voice sounded hollow and she gently pulled her hand out of Lloyd's and she clutched the covers in her hands tightly as she stared at the ground.

Lloyd watched her and he gently reached for her hand and said, "But I still really love and care about you Misty. It's just taking me a while to wrap my head around what happened to Harumi."

Misty let out a sad laugh and said, "I guess I have no right to be mad at you after all I did the same thing,"

Lloyd chuckled and said, "At least you chose well unlike me," He then gave Misty a sad smile which Misty returned in kind.

"So what do you want to do?" Lloyd asked

"To be honest I'm not sure," Misty admitted with a sigh and she gently rested her head on Lloyd's shoulder.

Lloyd rested his head on hers and said, "Do you love me?"

"Of course I love you," Misty said

Cole then walked over to the two of them and said, "We've decided that it's probably for the best if we all stay in pairs tonight to keep one another safe. Nya and Jay have paired up and Zane and Pixal have as well. The only ones left are you two and Kai and I."

Lloyd looked awkward and said, "Uh well it's up to Misty who she wants to stay with tonight, it's only fair that she decides."

Misty sighed and said, "Uh well um I think..."

Cole then said, "I think it's best for you to stay with Lloyd tonight. After all, he's the one who was able to calm you down when the black crystal started forming."

"Looks like your crashing with me." Cole said with a sigh and then added "You're taking the first watch by the way." Kai groaned and said, "Fine! I don't care just as long as I don't have to share a bed with you!" "Yeah, don't worry about that," Cole muttered.
