Dorothy's POV

It was half past six and father just returned from where he went to which I think is work cause he looks so very tired.

I walk up to him and collected his luggages from him to my surprise he said " I want to see you"

And I replied with the dimmest reply ever " OK father I'm here can you see me".

He glared at me and said "privately" with an intimidating look.

I was lost of word and said the simplest thing "OK"

He looked at everyone of us and said "someone should bring my dinner up for me" and just like that he left.

Sylvia decided she was gonna talk his food to him and we all agreed since she's his wife.

"Looks like someone is in trouble" Danielle said

"What makes you think I'm in trouble" I replied back.

"The look on his face is telling me so" Danielle

"Elle he only looks stressed" I blurted at her

"What do you think he wants to talk to you about? " dove asked

" I actually have no idea but it seems important" I answered honestly

"Maybe" dove said

"So if it's important why doesn't it involve us" Danielle blurted

"I don't know maybe its behond your understanding" I answer

"Are you implying that we are not smart" dove snapped

"No that's it you are all smart but I think daddy needs only me because I'm the oldest". I honestly answered

"So we both are babies and u are the mama" Danielle said

I giggled "yeah you can say that" I said and headed to daddy's room.

On getting there I sighed and knocked at the door.

Knock!!!

"Come in" I heard and went in assuming it was my father's voice.

As I entered I saw my dad in a new set of cloth more like a short and a top, I stared at the table and saw a tray with empty plates assuming he just finish eating his food. I avated my eyes to Sylvia and she's giving me a weird smile with a look I can't comprehend.

"Dorothy" my father said bringing me back from my thought.

"Yes father" I answered

"I would like to discuss something important with you" he said an avated his gaze from me to Sylvia "do you mind giving us a little privacy" he said still not moving his eyes from her.

"W.. Wh... What" she stammer

"Excusing us, give us a little privacy" my father replied which makes me hold back my laugh

"Bu... But I'm your ... wife davis don.. don't you think... I... I have a right to interact with the conversation and beside I.. I can... Give one or two advice to her" she said more like a stammer to me this is so awkward for her I feel like laughing even more but I can't loose my cool.

"I know and Dorothy is my daughter and no I don't u have the right cause this is private and your advice can't be useful so if you don't mind, please use the door". Uhhh damn can't can't hold back my laugh again so I let out a little laugh and evey one noticed and looked at me. Unknowing what to do I turned my 'small laugh' to a big chock.

Slyvia shot me a death glare before leaving the room which makes me think she already knows I was making jest of her.

"So Dorothy have a sit" I did as instructed and took a sit opposite from my dad.

"I went to the king of the northan part of the village and he made me an offer" he said in his cool and gentle voice.

"That's great father you should accept it" I said thinking of why he told me, I mean he is the father so he is big enough to make decisions why consult me.

There was a little silence in the room which made me realize it 'maybe we are moving. Oh I don't wanna move I love my room here'.

"You haven't even heard the offer yet". He said which made me let out a small laugh which got me thinking how much of a fool I was.

I didn't wanna embarrass my self any forther so I said "what is the offer father".

"The king as you know I work for him and he made me an offer" he paused "he has a son which is three years or so older than you" he sigh. "He gave me a marriage proposal an-"

"For who?" I interrupted before he got the chance to continue.

"For you Dorothy"

"What, I'm not ready to get married"

"Not now when you come of age, when you are 23 the king will send for you"

"But still father I can't just go ahead and marry a man I don't know"

"Now you don't know him but you will later in the future"

"So when will you tell him your decision"

"I've told him already" he said

"And that is..." I asked

"You'll get married to his son"

"But daddy you didn't even consult me before making such a big decision what if I don't agree" I snapped

"Look I know its a big decision but I did it for a reason" he said which took me aback

"What is the reason father"

"I can't tell you now it is for your own good and I don't think you are ready for it"

"But I am ready father" I said

"I will tell you when the right time comes just know I have your best interest in mind"

"Yes father"

"You can leave now" with that said I left the room and to my surprise I saw my sisters by the door and it looks like they were ears dropping on our conversation

"Where you guys ears dropping on our conversation" I asked

"Who... Us... What... No way... As if" Danielle said

"Yes we were" dove confessed

"Dove" elle said "this is why I don't include you in my plans" she muttered to herself

"Guys that is considered rude" I said to them

"And here comes the preaching and besides we hardly hear anything" Elle said which made me think 'do I preach?'

"Do I preach" I asked after a lot of thinking.

"Yes you do'' Elle snapped at me

"No I don't" I snapped back at her

"Pretty sure you" dove said which got me surprised because dove is the honesty one which made me realize omg I do preach so they most think I'm uncool

"Ok maybe I do sometimes"

"So what did daddy say, are we moving" Elle asked

"No we aren't" I answered

"But I hared are we moving from inside" Elle said

"I asked that but turns out we aren't"

"So what were you guys talking about" dove asked

"We were talking about business and daddy walks for the king now" I answered praying they don't ask any more questions cause I suck at lying

"Told ya I heard king" Elle said to dove

"So-"

"I'll be leaving now daddy sent me on an errend" I said and left before they could ask me any more questions.
