Prologue. On the train.
Draco's POV
" Draco, can you believe what's been written in the Daily Prophet? The Ministry of Magic has no idea who conjured it. " says Pansy.
I look at her. A few days ago at the Quidditch World Cup, Death Eaters stormed the camps, burning everything in sight.
Then once everything was burned to the ground and there was no one in sight, someone cast the Dark Mark into the sky.
" Of course they don't know who conjured it. No one was there to see who it was." I say.
She didn't mind my attitude. She was used to it by now.
We don't really talk that much on the train. Well at least I don't.
I don't like talking about my life at home. Sure I live in a huge place called the Malfoy Manor, but that doesn't mean I enjoy it there.
Father is always yelling and he's pretty strict about Malfoy pride and stuff like that.
It gets quiet annoying at times. Mother is always busy, however when she's not its fun to be around her.
It's my fourth year at Hogwarts. I'm a bit excited. I may be mean, but I do love being at Hogwarts.
I won't tell other people that though.
Pansy looks at me. " Whatcha thinking about?" Says Pansy.
" I'm just thinking about what type of rubbish they'll be teaching us this year." I say.
She scoffs. " Sure..."
I roll my eyes, but manage a small smirk.
A few seconds later we hear someone.
" Anything from the trolly?" The lady looks at us.
She's pushing around a trolly full of sweats.
" Want anything Draco?" Says Pansy as she get up.
" Surprise me." I say.
She nods. She comes back to her seat a few minute later and hands me a few chocolate frogs.
I don't mind these. At least they aren't the every kind of flavor jelly beans.
" So how is everything at home?" Asks Pansy.
I look at her and glare. " You know I don't like to talk about my home life." I spat.
" Then what do you like to talk about? It's really boring riding the train and not talking to someone." Says Pansy.
" Then if you wanted to talk then you should have picked a different car to ride in." I say.
She smirks. " Oh Draco, always so sweet." Says Pansy sarcastically.
I smirk. " It's the same as always. It never changes." I say.
She nods. The train car then opens and a head pops in.
" Any free seats?"
That's Blaise. My friend just like Pansy.
" Come on in. " says Pansy.
That he did. He walked in and say down next to Pansy.
" What are you lot talking about?" Says Blaise.
" Private business." I say.
" Ah, so you were talking about how your summer went at home? Ok. " says Blaise.
Yeah he knows about my home life to. Only Pansy and Blaise do.
Their the only ones I trust, and I don't trust all the easy.
" Yeah, we were talking about our home life. Or at least I was." Says Pansy.
" I said my summer was the same as always." I say.
They nod. Pansy then offers Blaise one of the chocolate frogs I never ate.
He smiled and took it. We continued to talk for a while longer before we were getting close to Hogwarts.
To which we were already ready. For we had put on our robes before the train even left the station.
As we get closer our conversation comes to a end and we ride the rest of the way in silence.
