In this world, there are four great kingdoms. The Hearts who have love, the Diamonds who have wealth, the Clubs who have luck, and the Spades who have power.

A long, long time ago, about a century ago, there was a great feud between humans. Brother against brother, mother against son and son against mother, the strong against the weak, and the prideful against the humble. A lot of people suffered, and a lot of people cried and mourned. And the people who were innocent, thought that it would never end.

Until one day, a whole army of humans who called themselves Jokers, ended the war. The people rejoiced. The Jokers divided the people into four kingdoms, the Spades who have power and are the keepers of magic and are known for their knowledge, the Clubs who have luck and are extremely known for their massive and brute strength in army, the Diamonds who have wealth and are known for their extremely flamboyant way of living, and the Hearts who have love and are known for their strong will and bravery.

In order to keep peace within the kingdoms and among the kingdoms, the Jokers carefully chose three people from each kingdom to be the kingdom's rulers. The Jokers had each kingdom have a special way of choosing their selected three. The Spades' rulers were chosen by specially-made, magical clocks. The Clubs' rulers were chosen by a small birth mark on their bodies which appear at birth. The Hearts' rulers were chosen by the measure of kindness and compassion you have which is measured out by a test. And finally, the Diamonds' rulers were chosen by their special eye color which is seen at birth. In choosing, gender has nothing to do with it, because it is simply fate.

These three rulers chosen, are the King, the Queen, and the Jack.

The King would be the one to manage justice within his or her kingdom and manage the kingdom's relations with the other kingdoms.

The Queen would be the one responsible of the army and safety of the whole kingdom, as well as some of the political works.

The Jack would be the Queen and King's right hand man or woman. He or she is responsible for the political welfare and agricultural welfare of the whole kingdom. It is not clear on what the Jack's actual job is supposed to be, but some say that the Jack is a mysterious figure that sheds the King and Queen's judgment into a brighter light.

To make the suffering equal between the King and Queen they created a special relationship between the King and Queen and made sure to pass this on to the next generation's Kings and Queens. The special relationship between the King and Queen has nothing to do with gender. The essentials are "Vesta" and "Fontus". It was gifted by one of the Jokers who possessed magical abilities.

The King has the power of "Vesta", meaning he or she can receive energy from anything. However, over time the efficiency of the energy gathering process lowers.

That's where the existence of "Fontus" comes into play.

The Queen is "Fontus". In other words, the source of energy. With the Queen's power, the King can efficiently receive a lot more energy from normal humans.

And so, when the Jokers finished, they disappeared. None of them ever saw the Jokers again.

They called that day, "Dies Gloriae".
