Jungkook focus
They had all gone out to spy on the delivery entrance, that Namjoon's agent had pointed out to them, tin order to find a way how to get Hoseok and Taehyung into the building as one of the restaurant staffs. Even though the two men's goals were different, Taehyung going for the safe and Hoseok for Yamamoto, they would both slip in as waiters given that it was impossible to pass the front gate security as a businessman.
How the dress code of their disguise looked like had been easy to find out on the internet because the restaurant offered a catering service for business events of companies outside of the tower and was advertising with many photos of their staff and past events. Their plan now was to find out whether they could slip in via the delivery entrance while the staff was receiving the food for the evening of the D-day.
Thus, Taehyung had sent Jungkook out to install a small camera in the bushes next to the back entrance, so that they could watch the movements. It had been quite the struggle. The tower was not only checking their gateway with one camera but also the small path between the building's wall and the bushes with a second one. Hence, Jungkook had crawled from a blind area to the gateway through the bushes on his stomach. It had felt like being at a boot camp, especially because of the freezing temperatures and the damp ground. But it also had been extremely exciting, and now they were able to check the happenings on a phone screen without freezing their toes off and with slurping on Starbucks Christmas specials.
The first delivery had probably already happened considering that the restaurant offered breakfast lunch and dinner. But they were interested whether there would be a second delivery, because if Taehyung and Hoseok slipped in later, they could minimize the probability of being discovered while waiting.
"Why aren't we gonna use the garage as entrance?" Hoseok asked, keeping one eye on the phone screen in Taehyung's hand while sipping on an Azuki Matcha Frappuccino.
To Jungkook the garage also seemed to be the perfect way to get in without being noticed, but he was sure the two conmen had a reason for making him crawl in the dirt to monitor the back entrance.
To his surprise it was the KFC agent who answered. "Because there's a metal gate at the entrance that can only be opened with a remote control and the exit of the elevator is in the lobby outside the security check, so it's pointless to go in there," he explained showing that he was well-informed about the house.
"How come you know?" Hoseok asked curious, speaking Jungkook's mind.
"My agent tried to get in, too," Namjoon said with a bitter expression. "He passed the gate but had to give up when he saw where the elevator ended. He told me that there's not even a single door in the whole garage apart from emergency exits that lead back to the streets around the area."
"Sick," Hoseok murmured impressed while Jungkook wondered what that tower needed such strict security measures for. It definitely was well-concepted, too well for his own liking, but now he understood why Yamamoto would stow the documents here; the tower was like a fortress.
Yoongi lifted his head from his Surface, on which he had been tapping away the whole time they had spent here. "That's not just sick, that silly," the hacker growled. "Who needs such strict security measures for some law firms and computer companies? The only justification for such caution would be a national institution that disguises itself inside the tower as a normal company. Annoying. That's what it is."
Namjoon chuckled quietly at the hacker's outburst before he said, "It seems to do its job perfectly well, doesn't it?"
And Taehyung looked like he had to suppress a smile as well which made Jungkook wonder if there was anything that could discourage the his teacher or if the artist simply assumed to be successful in any case. If that was Taehyung's recipe to success, Jungkook still had a long way to go, because all he could see were obstacles and what-ifs.
"Look! A swoodle!" Taehyung startled him out of his admiration, and everyone followed the pointer of Taehyung's hand to a puppy in front of the window. The rest of the crew seemed just as confused as Jungkook felt.
"A swoodle?" he asked dutifully. By now he knew that Taehyung liked to be asked about his weird word inventions.
"A Swiffer poodle," the blue-haired explained with a big smile, looking at him expectantly.
Jungkook did not know whether he chuckled because he really found that funny or because it was so bad that it was funny again. Namjoon seemed to struggle with equal thoughts if the agent's shaking frame and pressed-together lips were any indication, but Hoseok just looked skeptical.
"Sure," Jungkook mumbled and shook his head.
"You're so boring," Taehyung whined at them all and then pressed the phone into Jungkook's hand and left to get another Matcha milk. "Watch this."

Several hours with too much caffeine, sugary pastries, boyfriend calls, and fluffy chit-chat passed before the screen finally showed some action and Jungkook called for the rest to look at what was happening. A delivery transporter of a frozen-foods company drove down the ramp backwards and waited for the metal gate to open before it maneuvered through the slim entrance and was swallowed by the tower's closing gate.
"The time frame is extremely tight," Namjoon spoke and Hoseok nodded, expressions all serious. Those two were too pessimistic for Jungkook's taste. There had been plenty of time to sneak in with the car.
"We'll have to slip in in the blind spot of the transporter," Hoseok mused.
"And in the blind spot of the camera that films the ramp," Jungkook added.
"There was a camera?" Hoseok asked astounded, and, apart from Yoongi who was still immersed in his laptop screen, the whole table looked at the dancer like they doubted his smarts.
Jungkook snorted. "How do you think they check who's waiting in their gateway?" he asked the oblivious man.
"True," Hoseok admitted, no sight of shame or embarrassment. "Did you see it when you installed our camera?" he wanted to know.
Jungkook nodded. "Yeah, on the top left of the gate." That way the security could see the driver.
But if he was honest, Jungkook would have loved to have two cameras. Just for the fun of it (and maybe because he would like to be in Hoseok's place because he loved to be part of the action). He had even made up a plan for that. He would have rolled under the transporter lying on a skateboard, and once he would have attached himself to the bottom construction of the vehicle another team member would pull the skateboard back and roll off with it. Then he could wiggle out from under the car while the restaurant staff was unloading it.
However, since the tower had only one camera (and Taehyung was no friend of James Bond action anyway), the artist and Hope would simply slip in on the passenger side of the transporter in hopes that they could find a space in the basement where they could vanish until the air cleaned. But then there was another problem...
"How do we make the elevators work without a card?" Hoseok asked and proved that he was not as slow-witted as Jungkook had thought him to be a moment ago.
"You won't need one," Yoongi answered from the other side of the table with an evil grin and turned the laptop so that everyone could look at it. It showed a bad quality feed of a garage-like room with several trash cans and storage racks where some people in white shirts were busy moving boxes onto small carriages. In the back was a big white metal lift door. "They have an extra elevator for restaurant goods," Yoongi explained. "Rather logical if you don't want to be a hindrance to the normal employees of the tower or risk one of the staff going somewhere they're not allowed to."
Everyone stared at the pale man.
"How?" Jungkook ask in lack of a better way to phrase his astonishment and looked from the hacker to the display and back.
Yoongi grinned. "I placed a little GoPro drone next to the entrance," the hacker explained with a mischievous look in his cat eyes. "What you see is the picture from that drone sitting on top of the delivery transporter."
Even Taehyung seemed surprised. Yoongi just shrugged, "I wasn't sure if my transmitter would work with all that metal and concrete in-between. I had to modify the GoPro for instant-"
"You're brilliant!" Taehyung interrupted his boyfriend's tech-talk and leaned over the table to give his lover a smooch. Much too close in front of Namjoon's face if the agent's expression was anything to go by. The discomfort of openly displayed affection by couples was written all over the ex-cop's face and Jungkook almost expected him to say something.
But it was Hoseok who had had enough first. "Stop this," the dancer growled at the lovebirds and pulled the artist back into his seat, obviously trying to hide the same distaste as Namjoon on his face. "Now that we know how to get to the top floor, how do we stunt the slipping in? I'm sure that some observant passerby will notice two guys behaving strange and alarm the driver," the brunette asked.
Their table was quiet for a moment before a picture flashed through Jungkook's mind and he blurted his idea into the room. "A rickshaw maybe?" he suggested with a questioning look at Taehyung. "Those three-wheeled cars they use for delivering packages. Two people should fit into the trunk." He would almost bet that he had seen it in some movie.
His teacher looked delighted. "That's a very good idea!" he told Jungkook, patting his shoulder, and sighed towards the rest of the group, "They grow up so fast, don't they?"

Namjoon focus
Namjoon was sitting on the couch in their hotel room, legs crossed and leaned back, watching the spectacle that was going on in front of him.
"Catch!" Taehyung called out to Jungkook and threw the bumper who was standing on top of Namjoon's bed the other end of the bedlinen while he tried to keep his side under control by standing on it.
On each foot-end corner of Namjoon's mattress Hope and Yoongi held one chair in place, seat pointing towards the end of the bed, while Jungkook tried to fix the bedlinen on the backrests with security pins. They were trying to rebuild the front of a transporter. And Namjoon had to admit that the resulting construct of bed, chairs, and bedlinen was not too far off their goal.
"Maybe the chairs a little more back. Just a hand's width," Taehyung mused and gestured his two helpers to do so. "Yeah, that's more like it." And then the artist stuffed the bedlinen edges that were touching the floor underneath the bedframe. The model was finished.
"Good," Yoongi said and stood back to look at the result. "Kook, stay there and pretend to be the driver. And hold the chairs, please."
Namjoon snorted quietly. Apparently, the hacker only used the word please when he was concentrating in something.
"Hope, you can let go," Taehyung told the dancer who left his chair under Jungkook's care. "Get Kook a chair to sit on." The brunette nodded and weaseled into the bathroom to get the stool from there while the two conmen stared at the transporter model, no doubt thinking about how to approach the problem.
"Okay. Up there will be the camera." Yoongi gestured past Jungkook's head to a point on the left. "So, you need to stay on this side of the car until you're inside." He gestured at the right side. "But my GoPro showed that you'll have to switch sides if you don't want to run right into the staff."
"And here will be the palette stacks?" Taehyung asked, pointing at the left. Apparently, the two had already discussed some stuff in private. Well, Namjoon was glad that for once he did not need to plan anything but simply could watch and comment another person's work.
"Yeah," Yoongi confirmed and nodded. "Quite many. You can hide behind those."
Namjoon tried to build the described circumstances around the bedlinen car with the things he had seen of the delivery gate and the inside of the tower basement, and the only thing he could think of was that if this was a KFC job, one of his men would go in underneath the car.
"Why don't you go under the car?" Jungkook asked from his position behind the transporter ghost, speaking Namjoon's thoughts like he had read them. "You can roll under it on a skateboard or something, then grab onto the frame and let yourself be carried inside without any trouble."
A skateboard? Namjoon should keep that in mind. It was not so bad. Small, easy to steer, and easy to pull back on a string to let it vanish.
"That would work for a muscle guy like you, but I highly doubt that Hope or I are able to pull that off," Taehyung replied, dismissing the idea.
Jungkook looked disappointed, so much that Namjoon almost wanted to tell him that his idea was not bad, but Yoongi was faster to say something. "I'm curious how you and Jimin will do your jobs," the hacker said and sounded amused. "Ask me if you need a techy."
That made the young man's face light up with a smile and he nodded enthusiastically. "Sure."
Wait what? So that was why Jungkook was so strangely engaged in all the problem solving. He was an apprentice. Namjoon had already wondered.
Taehyung threw his partner a look that Namjoon was not sure he understood correctly, but the other just shrugged and grinned. "Gotta think of my future," the hacker said and turned back to the problem on hand. This was all very peculiar, but Namjoon decided to ignore it.
"Well," Hope intervened for the first time and made it easy to forget about the interaction from before. "The hood should be high enough for us to crawl past it and to the other side, so let's try that. Shall I?" He looked at the artist who nodded and gestured him to go for it.
In the next second the dancer had crouched down next to the right side of the bed-car, underneath where the side-mirror would be. "Once we made it here, we just follow the car inside." He mimicked said action by shuffling forwards in his crouched position, looking like a dug. "Then we turn around." He did. "And switch sides." He crawled past the bumper area and stopped once he had reached the other side.
"Did you see him, Kook?" Taehyung asked their driver.
"Little bit of his hair, but not much," the man answered.
"Okay, let's try that again," Taehyung agreed to the idea and waved Hope to come back to the starting point.
"Wait," Yoongi stopped them and vanished to the bathroom. When he came back, he was bringing the hand mirror with him. "Side-mirrors of today are pretty good in covering blind spots." He squatted behind the right chair and positioned the mirror for Jungkook. "Like this?"
The fitness trainer nodded.
"Good," Yoongi resumed with his explanation. "You can't go further than half of the door."
"Okay," Taehyung confirmed and straightened his back. "Let's try."
And try they did. So much that once they were satisfied, they had to wake up Namjoon for dinner.

This is the rickshaw car JK was talking about. It can be opened on the side like a cupboard. It's rather common in China and Japan if dramas are anything to go by.
