Sonic's P.O.V.
Once we all had breakfast and got ready, we started walking to our destination. Everyone was silent and was looking in from of them.

I didn't like this at all, I knew this was my fault, only my fault.

"Rouge..." I mumbled as I walked closer to her. "Can I... Talk to you...?"

Rouge looked at me and nodded with a soft smile. "Of course Hun." She held my hand and walked a little slower, letting Shadow and Omega pass in front of us.

When they were a few feet away, she let go of my hand and looked at me. "What is it?"

I smiled sheepishly and scratched the back of my head. "I... I'm sorry... First of all. Because of what happened."

Rouge shook her head and patted my back gently. "It's okay Hun, but can you tell me what you did to make Shadow call you that?" She raised a brow and looked at me then at Shadow, who was still looking in front of him as he walked beside Omega.

I lowered my ears and mumbled lowly. "I held his hand..." I looked at the ground.

"So... Are you...?" Rouge asked lowly and looked at me then at Shadow. I sighed and slowly nodded, still not looking up at her.

"It's okay Blue, there's nothing to worry about..." Rouge rubbed my back gently. "I'm sure you'll find someone."

I dropped my ears at that and slowly shook my head. "It's impossible." I knew that it was impossible, I had fallen for Shadow, badly, since day one, I'm sure I wouldn't forget him so easily.

"Why are you saying that...?" Rouge asked, clearly confused, but it soon clicked on her head and lowered her ears. "Oh, I'm so sorry..." She said gently.

I faked a smile and looked at Rouge then shook my head. "It's okay... It's illegal either way..." I mumbled, trying to convince myself that it wouldn't have gone better even if I hadn't goofed up.

Rouge slowly nodded and looked at Shadow, who was now looking at us. Crap. He heard everything.

"Sorry for what?" He asked and raised a brow at us.

"If we told you you'd beat us up." Rouge said coldly and rolled her eyes. "Were you eavesdropping?"

Shadow scoffed. "As if. Your voices are echoing in the damn forest, I was listening to you without wanting to." He said coldly, but it was a lie, we were very quiet as we talked, Omega's steps were louder than us.

"But-" I tried to talk but Rouge cut me off.

"Yeah, right. The only thing that's echoing is your unbearable stupidity!" She growled lowly at Shadow. "How can you be against something that's you cannot control!? More importantly. How could you say that to Sonic!?"

"I'm not against it!" Shadow snapped, taking both me and Rouge by surprise.

"What?" Rouge asked, not believing in her ears, just like me. "Then why did you say that to Sonic?" She crossed her arms and stopped walking.

Shadow stayed quiet and looked at me then at Rouge, then back at me then at Rouge again. He sighed and shook his head as he started walking again. "We need to finish the mission."

I was confused like never before, he almost beat me up for holding his hand, saying that I deserved it for being gay, then says that he's not against homosexuality, but he doesn't tell us why he was so harsh on me.

I get it!

He simply fucking hates me!
