Sonic's P.O.V.
We walked through the forest in awkward silence, Omega's steps being the loudest noise that kept us. I didn't really mind it since lI was spaced out as I started at Shadow from behind.

I know it sounds creepy... And gay..., but I can't help it, he's just so handsome. Thankfully I haven't been caught yet.

I want to confess my feelings or at least tell someone about it, but if my mother learns that I like males, she'll lock me in and make me marry Sally for sure.

I sighed quietly as I thought about it, life is obviously telling me to keep my feelings hidden. When I heard about the poor Mobian that got in jail for admitting his sexuality... I felt betrayed by my town, the people who keep thanking me for saving them, who keep telling me how they want to be like me, arrested someone for something they're not in control of.

"What's wrong Hun?" Rouge asked softly snapping me out of my thoughts, I looked at her and shook my head with a fake smile.

"Nothing, I just hope Tails will be okay." I lied, not sure of what she thinks about the events that upset me.

Rouge raised a brow and got closer to me. "Come on, Blue. What's wrong? You're not good at lying." She said softly and patted my back gently.

I sighed and chuckled quietly then shook my head. "It's... Personal..." I smiled sheepishly, hoping that she wouldn't ask more.

Rouge slowly nodded. "I'm here if you want to talk, Shadow is also good at keeping secrets, right Hun?" She said looking in front of her where Shadow was walking a few steps ahead next to Omega.

Shadow groaned and waved his hand at Rouge without looking back. "Leave me out of this..."

I lowered my ears slightly again at his name and what he said, making me lose more hope of us being something more than rivals.

Rouge probably noticed that because she hummed quietly and walked next to Shadow then whispered something to him, making him glare at her and growl. I hope it wasn't about me.

Shadow's P.O.V.
I was minding my own business, looking in front of me trying not to look back knowing Faker was staring at me. I've caught him staring multiple times, but he acts as if nothing happened. It's getting a little creepy and unsettling, but I try to ignore it.

My ear flickered when I heard him sigh and this feeling of him staring at me faded away, which I was glad about.

Rouge heard it too and looked behind her as she slowed down to get next to him, leaving me alone with Omega.

I heard them talk since there was nothing else I could do but walk and that didn't require my hearing and also there was nothing else that was making any noise, so their voice echoed through the forest.

I noticed that Faker was uncomfortable as he answered Rouge's questions, which was a little odd since he's always cocky and confident. This made me curious and tried to listen to them when I heard my name since I didn't listen I just waved my hand and told her to leave me out of this. Then, after a few seconds, she walked next to me and whispered.

"You should talk to him~" Her voice sounded as if she knew about my feelings.

I lowly growled and glared at her as a reflex, but the only response I got was a smirk from her.

What's going on?? Does she know about my feelings?? What gave it away??

"Come on Hun, I'm not stupid." She said and crossed her arms as he kept smirking, making me question what was on her mind.

I raised a brow and slowly shook my head. "I don't understand what you're talking about..." I said hoping that she didn't know.

Rouge chuckled and whispered in my ear. "You're jealous of him~"

I mentally shouted in relief and shook my head as my mind created scenarios of me and Faker being together. Great.

"As if. My life is ten times better than his." I huffed and rolled my eyes and tensed up lightly when I felt Faker stating at me again. Great.

Rouge hummed and crossed her arms. "Sure..." She looked up and down at me, surely noticing that I started walking differently.

"I heard that...!" Faker said jokingly.

"I don't care...!" I mumbled and copied the way he talked.

"Hey!" He laughed softly and walked next to me with his cute smile. "Since when do you have a sense of humor?"

I rolled my eyes and looked in front of me as I walked. "Since the day I was created."

He chuckled and moved closer to me, causing me to feel butterflies in my stomach. "Were you also grumpy since that day?" He continued asking me stupid questions and walking closer to me, making me tense up and walk away from him.

"No. I was happy back then." I growled lowly and kept walking.

"You? Happy? I wish I could see that." He chuckled and shook his head. "I can't imagine you smiling."

I rolled my eyes as I continued walking. "Good, because you won't ever see me smile."

"Is that a challenge?" Sonic smirked and looked at me. "Because I'm up for it."

I groaned and facepalmed at his annoying yet cute actions.

This was going to be a long mission.
