Meredith's POV:

"Uh oh" Maddy said. We took our phones from our bags and I saw that Maddy's caller was from dad, and the caller on my phone was from mom. I mouthed "I'll go over there"

I immediately pressed the green button and I heard my mom talking on the other side. "Meredith, what are you doing right now? You're not climbing right?" Mom asked

"No" I nervously said

"Good. Look Meredith, I'm really sorry but I'm going to be late so please pick up Max from daycare."

"Mommmm-"

"I'm sorry honey, but my project is really keeping me up late... Look, my project will be done soon and I promise I'll make it up to you. Okay?"

"Okay mom. Can I bring a friend to pick up Max from daycare with me?"

"Okay, just don't do anything silly. I need to go now sweetie, bye bye."

"Bye mom."

I hung up the phone and I ran towards Maddy's side. She was finished talking to dad and I could tell that she was annoyed. "Dad told me to pick up his go karts from the race track and wash them... Ugh..." Maddy said. "Mom told me to pick up Max from daycare... Looks like we'll both be picking something up and doing something with it..." I sighed. "Why do you always get the easy jobs and I don't?" Maddy whined. I furrowed my eyebrows "It's obvious that Dad wants you to do all his things and I don't get to do it. And, it's very obvious that he likes you better..." Maddy sighed "Okay fine, I'll pick up Max with Austin, and you can wash Dad's go karts k?" I looked at her with a blank face "How come you get to go with someone and pick up Max from daycare while I have to wash the go karts alone!?" Maddy smiled "I never said you had to wash the go karts alone, I just wanted to go with Austin..." I wiggled my eyebrows and smirked "Looks like someone's got a lil' crush on somebody" Maddy blushed and said "I don't have a crush on Austin!" I whistled and laughed "Oh yes you do, and I think he likes you back..." Maddy widened her eyes "Really? You think so?" I laughed "Yeah, I 'really' do."

Sorry about the delay of this chapter... I know that I said it would be out, but my mom surprised me with like something really cool and I kinda forgot about Wattpad soo... yeah... Whoops... I did it again... But anyways, here's the update!!! BTW, I have a camp next week, but it's only for four days, so I hope that I can update on next Thursday... No promises though.
