Chapter 2

The Families P.O.V

It hurts to see you in this state. Unconscious. Confined to a bed. So many machines hooked up to you it's hard to tell if your heart is beating or not. They wish they could have saved you.

But sadly they couldn't and now all they can do it wait for you to finally wake up. Whenever that will be. It's already been a few months since the accident but nothing has changed. You are still as limp and lifeless as they day they brought you here.

You've been in and out or surgery so many times that your family lost count. But no matter what they are determined to stay by your side. Just like you did for them. They will wait as long as it takes for you to finally wake up and end their nightmare.

Now they know how you felt all those months ago. Abandoned by the people you trusted most. There is so many things that they wish they could change in the past. So many bad decisions that they wish they could fix. If only they had been more thoughtful about what they said then maybe you wouldn't have ended up like this.

Every day they come to regret more and more of their past actions. All the things they could have done differently. All the things they should have done, but couldn't.

At least one of them remains by your room at the hospital. Every day someone else will come and take the place of the previous. They all want to be the one you wake up to but they know the chances of you waking are quite slim.

The doctors had asked them before if they wanted to take you off of life support, because there was absolutely no change in your condition since the day you arrived at the hospital. Your en tire family screamed at the Doctor's saying, "NO" and that they would wait as long as possible for you to wake up.

After months of waiting for you to wake up, you finally did. Though not they way they wanted you to.

The doctor had just gone in to do his daily check on Y/N. It was Chica's day today so she waited patiently outside your door to see if anything new had happened since yesterday.

As to why she had to stay outside your room, a few months ago everyone was inside the room. A fight had broken out and a bunch of equipment had gotten broken. Since that day only one person was allowed to be with you at a time and they had to sit outside the room since the hospital staff didn't want to chance another machine getting broken.

So now they had set up a little area across from your room so your family had a somewhat private area to sit in while they were at the hospital. Chica looks longing at your door, hoping that today was the day you finally woke up from your slumber.

The doctor soon emerges from the room and hurriedly moves down the hallway. A few moments later he comes back with another doctor with him and the head back inside the room together.

Since this has never happened before, Chica gets up and moves towards the doorway, curious to find out what is going on inside your hospital room.

"Are we able to come in and see her yet?" Chica asks, knowing that the answer will probably be no.

"Sorry Miss, but she is no longer allowed to have visitors." The one doctor tells her.

"Why can't she? What changed since yesterday?" Chica asks confused.

"She woke up." The other doctor tells her.

Chica's eyes grow wide with disbelief. Today was the day. You finally woke up.

"Then you have to let us in to see her. There's so much we have to tell her." Chica says hurriedly, desperate to get closer to you again.

"We are sorry to tell you this Miss but allowing you to come in to talk to her right now isn't going to help. It will only make things worse for her." The doctor tells her sadly.

"How will seeing her make things worse for her?" Chica asks angrily, starting to get annoyed with the doctors.

"She has severe amnesia and she can't seem to remember anything at all." The second doctor tells her.

"What do you mean she can't remember anything?" Chica asks again, near tears now thinking about what this could mean.

"Watch." The first doctor says.

He turns back around to face Y/N.

"Miss, what are these?" The doctor asks her, holding up his hands.

"THOSE... A-ARE...... POKER THINGS!!!" Y/N yells loudly and quite proud of herself.

"All right, what is this?" He asks her again, this time pointing to his mouth.

"SOUND... HOLE." She tells him excitedly.

"Ok. What are these?" He asks her, this time pointing to his eyes.

"SEEING... THINGS." She yells happily.

Chica bursts into tears. This is the worst thing that could have happened. They finally have her awake again, except she doesn't remember anything.

The doctors come over and lead Chica out of the room and to the sitting area. They grab a box of tissues and hand it over to her.

"We understand that this will be hard to deal with, but right now we need you and the rest of the family to stay at home. Were can't have the possibility of you guys suddenly rejigging her memory since she doesn't remember anything. If that were to happen I'm afraid that it would cause more harm then good." The first doctor tells her, his hand resting gently on her shoulder.

Chica just nods as she wipes her eyes, understanding that if they want their true Y/N back, that they will have to follow what the doctors say is best for her.

"I'll go call for someone to pick you up and take you home. As well as explain the whole situation to them as well. Someone will come and get you once they arrive." The second doctor tells her.

With that they leave to go and make the necessary phone calls to get Y/N's rehabilitation. It's definitely going to be a long and hard road from here on out. But your family will make it through. You guys have been through much worse before anyways.

A/N

I think for this story (At least for the time being) I will keep switching between your P.O.V and your families. So I hope you all will enjoy this one as much as you enjoyed the others in the series!!! This one won't be getting as regular updates as the others either. At least not until another story reaches a certain point so stay tuned.
